The Velotric Packer 1 is an electric cargo bike capable of carrying up to 440 lbs with a variety of attachments. The 750w hub motor can give bursts of 1200w peak power for excellent towing and hill climbing abilities. A long rear rack capable of easily carrying 176 lbs and the adjustable front suspension makes this cargo ebike particularly useful amongst the sea of competition in this market.
Please check with your local laws for different classes of e-bikes and what is legal for where you ride. I am not responsible for your actions on this ebike whether or not you unlock the top speed beyond what the bikes ships as.

I wish more companies would focus on torque. Some of us live where the bike trails have steep inclines like your starting test, but two or even three times longer.
Yea Letric XP 2.0 it's legit
Also I did the 11 34 freewheel upgradei hit 30mp easily
Do 20 up hills
I'm in Colorado West side it's rocky mountains and hills everywhere
Torque yes but also something that can climb stairs, I live in a two story building with a straight flight of stairs . Could you do e-bikes with crawl features. Possibly demonstrate this in your videos. The vast majority of people are STACKED ON TOP OF OTHERS!!!! Thanks again for your informative videos!
get a mid drive bike.
@@dbfmster19There are many ebikes with a "walking" mode, all it does is when you push it it starts moving the motor very slowly, that might work for you
This video was fantastic. I want to use the packer for duck hunting. In Missouri 750W class 2 can use conservation area trails. I plan to carry my duck blind chair, bag of decoys, my shot gun and my waders on the bike. When you showed the carrying of a TV I was sold. Blind chair is smaller than TV, decoy bags bungeed to chair, backpack worn, waders and shotgun on handle bars/basket. I subscribe to your channel and it is probably the best e-bike channel out there. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The problem with cargo bikes is that here in Ontario, if you leave your bike anywhere other than in your home for longer than 5 minutes you are rolling the dice. I use a cheap crappy fixie for commuting and my expensive bike for riding, exercise and leisure. You can't run errands on an expensive bike because one day you will walk out of the shop to find your bike missing. It is almost inevitable. But I do love your videos! :)
Damn! What a review!!! Excellent production thank you as always great stuff
What a great review! Even detailing the grips and how they're held in place. Great edits, love the distance review and measuring the remaining battery on level 3. Would love to see it on full 5 as well. I just bought this bike mainly due to this review and one other. I was sure to email them and let them know. Thank you!
Great review. I do like the storage below the seat.
so glad u got this in! great review! Let US know when you're doing a GIVEAWAY!
Dude, another awesoome review!! I gotta quit watching these things though, keep changing my mind on what bikes to buy. I need to stalk you on your test ride beach spot and buy you a cup of coffee, pick your brain
9:44 I must say I love the modular approach which allows a lot more custom configurations and from the manufacturing perspective allows for more upselling so kind of a win-win which makes it a no-brainer in my mind can't help but notice the lack of that methodology globally like the handful of smartphone I thought would become real popular back when they were only five inches instead of 6 in a 7in but I always knew that would catch on and I think the modular approach is a no-brainer so if it doesn't catch on that's a damn shame
This dude is every neighbor I’ve ever had
Well that’s like your opinion, man.
Great video. Would be neat to see you travel with the TV. Although with my luck it would break more.
I definitely need this because I'm always going to the store and coming out with large amounts of groceries
Can you do a round up of the best e bikes you’ve tried? Or like an award video at the end of the year? I love your reviews but I can’t decide which e bike to get
Cool bag lock. My travel suitcase has the same type of thing
Those baskets need to be deeper. I feel like taller grocery bags would fall out
Definitely need cargo straps or nets to keep cargo from bouncing out.
Wow! Another Great review! I could actually see myself doing some plumbing service calls with this Packer in my small town! Does it come with all the baskets and floor board accessories?
Probably baskets, probably not flour boards
Baskets, floorboards, seat pads, etc are all additional unless you purchase a bundle
If you had to choose between the Velotric, Aventon or Lectric cargo bikes, which would you choose? Initially I considered the Specialized Globe, but think these 3 offer more value
Agreed. I like this one best by far. Safe and stable, UL listings, etc. Cadence sensor is unfortunate, but for a commuter, those are great anyways.
Lectric Xpedition or AiPAS A6 is better if you have very heavy loads (300 lbs max on rear rack) or you need to go long distances (28.8 Ah double battery). The Aventon Abound and Velotric Packer 1 are better for a nicer ride with front suspension and bigger front wheels to ride over bumps, and they have a better quality components than the Xpedition and A6. The Packer 1 is a little nicer in my opinion, but it costs a bit more. The A6 is the best option if on a budget, but I wonder if you can get it repaired, since there aren't many bike shops that sell it.
Good review.....DooOOOoood! 🤟
176 lbs = exactly 80kilos. That’s where the number comes from.
Thanks!
Been watching for a while now and enjoy the reviews. I'm sure you have heard this a lot. What GPS program do you like to use?
Those are some scary roads you’re on. Interesting bike.
You should test out the newest Happyrun tank G60 E bike! I would love for you to review it!
I currently own a HaiBike xdurorx29r with the Bosch pedal assist motor. 6000 miles WITHOUT issues. Am a cargo must rider of whom @ 59 yo frequently goes off road & trail. This bike REALLY has my interest & is half the price of my beloved HaiBike. The 🩵 light blue is my choice. Looks like it could accommodate my massive amount of gear & my 85 pound Pit Bull as well.
Thanks for the review. I'm looking at getting a cargo bike, but think the Rad Wagon is the way to go.
all the best with the underpowered radwagon
12:50 I'm down with the TV trip, let's do it...
What could possibly go wrong? 😂😂
🎉 this should be either all-wheel drive (better) or torque-sensing mid-drive (ideal). Never underestimate the advantage of multiple correctly utilized gears (smarter not harder).
I'm wondering if it drives like a two-wheel tricycle or a tricycle with an infinitely short rear axle with the 26 in front of the 20 because it seems to me it would speculation of course (in need of confirmation).
could you review radrunner2? thanks! keep up the great vids.
Sorry it doesn't have to do with this bike, but do you think you'll do another video with the Async A1 pro? I know the one they sent you was a prototype. Would love to see a review of the full retail release, showing off more features that weren't available yet. Especially with the app.
Excellent field test! Based on your experiences, I think that the manufacturer should offer a 4 +inch fat tire version for off road terrain travel. Is there a practical place to secure a security cable etc? Do the batteries recharge themselves while being used? Wishing you safe journeys and adventures!
176lbs is 80kg converted. I would love to see something in this form factor which can hit 30 which would keep up with traffic around here. Even 28 would be better than 25. Sorry if I missed it, how much does this thing weigh?
I think there should be a utility category. If I lived on the beach in Cali I don't think I would ever get an e-bike. I regular bike would do. I am looking for my 1st e-bike and the utility is hunting. I have seen supposed hunting e-bikes but their reviews and CZcamss are bull. The show a guy in camo with a backpack riding in the woods. The bike may be a little beefed up but that is not what you want when hunting. When hunting (especially conservation land in Missouri, you may need to carry a blind (could just be a enclosed camo chair, or a small camo tent), decoys, your shotgun or rifle, backpack). So I have been looking at cargo e-bikes capable of handling gravel or dirt roads and a round trip distance of 10 or so miles. Trailers may be the only way to go for some types of hunting but I would prefer to tie down a chair blind to the back, bungy a decoy bag to the top of the chair, wear by backpack. and mount my gun on the handle bars, or through a front cage. When wearing hunting gear (bibs,/waders/ rubber boots/heavy coat) I may weigh in at around 250lbs. All that said I am having trouble identifying a e-bike because of the many trade offs. Right now I am leaning toward the Velotric Packer 1 based on 1 of your videos. I am hoping that the narrower Velotric tires would work once replaced with nobbies of the correct size. What e-bike have you tested that you think would be better suited to my needs? Thanks and as always great video.
I would love to get your opinion on either the super73 ZX and the Zooz 1100!
You know if you are decent at lacing spokes you could theoretically make that rear wheel 24 in pretty easily and get substantially more speed out of it just need to buy a robust 24 inch rim and swap the hub out. Or better yet pay a professional at the bike shop to make sure it gets done right and have the option of someone to blame it on if it doesn't
The disadvantage of having a shop do it is cost, of course.
Only part if that cost is parts and labor - they are also taking on risk, as well as some design tasks unless you are very specific about what you need.
Lacing a wheel seems to be mostly ordering the right length spokes the first time, and having decent spoke wrenches.
I'll be finding out soon.
I though my motor had a short in the phase coils? So I ordered a new motor and spokes. Turns out I was given bad info on what reading I should see on my meter.
That means the only thing between me and dual motors is.lacing it up and getting a 2nd controller.
Front motor lacing is easier - less dishing to worry about.
Looks like you were peddling around the Marina Del Rey. Man, what do you do with all those bikes?🤪🤣 I didn’t see any on your video list, but have you tested any E-trikes? ✌️🤙🏻
Man, I feel a little stupid. For the first like 4 seconds when I saw your niece, I was like, "Who's this strange lady?! THAT IS NOT YOUR WIFE SIR!!! 🤬🤬🤬"
Then like I said, I realized I was dumb..... 😂😂
4:29 😊😊😅😅😂😂
Are you sure you're not enjoying that more than you should...?
hay is that a new tv. or it that the one pre hatchet incident? great bike ! great vid .thumbs up.....peace out
What is that battery range converter chart you use?
176lbs is 80kg in the rest of the world, that's why it is what it is.
Yo when you making that eahora Romeo pro ebike review?
What is the best way to hook up a dog trailer?
can you please do a review on the blix packa genie
TallHappy, You can thank me for the adjustable handlebars, no kidding, I beat support up pretty bad when I bought the discover 1 thanks to your CZcams reviews, told them I was sending it back it was ridiculous I could adjust seat hight without adjusting handlebars.
You saw me complaining about that on one of your CZcams reviews by the way.
There's no excuse anymore for bikes with adjustable seat height that doesn't have adjustable hight handlebar height
Definitely because of me they're including it
The lectric xpedition is cheaper and faster, can you review that?
He mentioned in another video he'll be doing that one
Please review the Eahora Juliet!!! PLEASE!!!
Romeo pro would be a better review
Is it possible to unlock a bike and use it in Class 2 (without disconnecting the throttle)?
As long as you're not going faster than 20 mph, who's going to know that it's unlocked?
Try the burchda rx80 :)
wonder how well it stands up to bike thioefs and vandals of NJ and Atlanta!
Do you have any used bike for sale? Im driving down to L.A. this sunday AQ177 Pro Max, Aniioki A8 Pro Max?
Another great review as always. Can anyone tell me if cadence sensor e-bikes free wheel downhill or do I need a torque sensor ebike for that function?
Either sensor type will free wheel the same way downhill
@@TailHappyTVThxs Matt. So does that also mean that if an e-bike is limited to say 20 mph that if won't be retarded after 20 mph going downhill and will keep increasing speed if it wants to without peddling?
Above the max assisted speed, the motor simply won’t contribute to downhill speed. It won’t brake, if that’s what you’re asking.
I vote for transporting the TV.
80 kgs translates to 176.3 lbs. I'm guessing they rated it at 80 kg and just rounded down the .3 when converting to lbs.
hey dude do you get to keep it for free after you review it thanks if you can answer me good show
180 mm for that bike it is not so good !!! It would be good at least 203mm and 4 piston breaks like MAgura
It does have 4 piston hydraulic disc brakes, but I don't know what brand.
You could haul your brother around!
I wish these companies would set pedal assist levels by watts and not by speed
Only took me about a half hour to put each of the two bikes I purchased together. Probably another 2 hours each to remove all the damn stickers. 😳 Why?!?!
do wallke h6
That thing is long. Good, you have a large elevator.
7:11 kilocalories we call that 1 Calorie in America otherwise that Tic-Tac is 1500 calories and you can only have one...
I think it's absurd that we can't agree on what a GD calorie is be honest and that speaks volumes all on its own
12:23 what happen to your TV? Holy shit.
Woow 💪🤩
FYI - 176 lbs. is 80 kg. Since... ya know.... its manufactured in 'not the US'.
Isn't it the law to walk the bike through a cross walk.
Most people driving a car are expecting that so with a bike that moves very fast aren't you putting people and even your self in danger by just blowing through.
I'm not sure what area you live in so it might be different laws.
Should do a study on E Bike and the effects of hitting something hard at that speed would be interesting.
I think the bigger question is where are you from? Bicycles are considered vehicles in the United States and you're expected to share the road with them. You are not a pedestrian.
25:05 WTF he is doing? I should report him.
And NO; Evlyn does not "A" anyone (however she thinks she does.
80kg = 176lbs
so for 2 grand you get to assemble it yourself!. awful loud!.
thats how big the fat lady was when she broke the rack!
Just a bad copy of the Tern GSD, no removable battery, bad brakes etc
The battery is easily removable. He even has the battery on his counter to check its voltage with a multimeter at the end.
I want you to send me an electric bike for free to my country Morocco. Thank you
Too costly, 200$ is the best price
YOU SHOULD HAVE REALLY TESTED THE WEIGHT CAPACITY. THUMBS DOWN
176lbs is 80kg.
