You only had a couple of scenes but boy did you made use of every one.
That scene was pretty much my fav scene of the movie. It's a whoozy it's a whazy.... those are rookie numbers... so many memorable lines!
I lost count on how many times I have replayed that scene over and over again.
It was a great scene in a great movie. It was fitting that that Matthew was losing weight for Dallas Buyers Club, since he was playing a coked out broker. As I remember it, it was also quite the treat seeing this famous and great actor in such a small role, especially given that this was around the peak of the "Mcconaissance".
Matthew should’ve won another Oscar just for that scene.

In my eyes, Matthew won an Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club and The Wolf of Wall Street, in WOWS as the lead actor of that dinner scene
Like I've said before. I don't watch Oscars. I watch movies.
Really shows the collaborative nature of great scenes like this. You have to a director who trusts the actors, who's looking for that magic AND knows when he sees it...and Leo who suggested it, and McConaughey who played it out...and then of course it turns up again when the whole office starts doing it, so it became a key motif of the movie. Fascinating!

When looking at the movie it looks so effortlessly great how he portrayed the character, its great to hear how he prepared for it and shows how seriously he takes his job.
What's awesome is when I was younger guys like Him and Keanu were seen by friends and family as meh. But I loved their movies and roles and now finally they both and a few others are getting recognized for Bing awesome

Such an iconic scene. This guy has done more one takes in movies than any other actor I’ve heard of.
Its incredible hearing how much work he put for being such a small part of the movie. And its because of that that one of the most memorable scenes were those few minutes he was actually on screen. I kinda wish we could get a whole movie of that character doing all sorts of crazy shit at wall street

When during the scene LEO looks back and it seems he is lookin at other restaurants customers all embarrassed, he was actually looking and Martin Scorsese to get approval to get the scene going and they did it. All improvised
Did you even watch the video? Mathew explains how it came about, and what you are saying is not it. Leo asked to include it in the scene, so he wasn't surprised by it and looking for Scorcese's approval.

I didn't know about Mathew McConaughey till that scene and the entire movie I said man that guy was captivating. Then I watched the Dallas Buyers Club and I knew he will win the oscar.
In it for 5 minutes.. and it's the most iconic 5 minutes of a truly delightful movie..

After that scene I needed to rewatch the whole film because for the duration of the film I was expecting Matthews character to comeback and that took away my focus from what the film was about. This performance stole the whole movie.🤯
