I used to love reading the Redwall books as a kid. There are a lot of things in games that felt like parts of those books but when I was little I could apply imagination to anything in that way. I was so young I can't hardly remember them anymore. Might be fun to read the first one again and see if it comes back.
Commented for the algorithm… I was super interested in Warhammer but most of the games were 6/7 so I started playing the table top game, which caused me to start reading the novels

I think mid generation upgrades are a bad idea at this stage. Because the changes arent significant enough. 4k at 60fps is fine atm
I JUST got a PlayStation 5, so I'm against a PS5 Pro for that personal reason alone. Plus I've yet to meet someone personally that feels the PS5 needs a refresh and many would rather hold out for a PS6.
Finally, the current state of the so-called "triple A" video game industry has really turned me into almost exclusively an indie gamer, now, so unless the industry can get its act together and make games with pretty graphics AND engaging gameplay at the same time, even the base PS5 is overkill for most of the games I tend to play.
@@JeffreyThrash why would you be against a ps5 pro just because you just bought a ps5? The ps5 pro certainly isn't necessary but whi is having the option for those who want a bit better performance a bad thing?
No big deal, you dont have to buy em brother, its good to always progress further so you have an idea what ps6 going to be and be excited about it

@ACG Doom 2016 would work as a multiplayer FPS, it's pretty much just Quake 2 or Unreal Tournament. UT 2004 and UT3 are my favorite, but Epic will never go back to those games now that there's that Fortnite money.

I do like achievements but I'd like them to never ever influence a game design. It should be something like post-production considerations, when your game is "done". And if a developer does not want to include them, I really don't mind. Creative decision should be the priority.
Classic example of the enigma trophies: You want to highlight a dozen cool/unique spots in Gotham but 300 is just stupid busywork to make it "hard" to get it.
Alan wake 2 reason it sells poorly is because its not on steam. I loved first alan wake but im not gonna buy alan wake 2 from epic store etc. But i think thats the biggest reason they sell bad because they are not on steam for a long time and i assume most ppl do not like epic games where it is.
The game was fully funded by epic games, you can hate them however much you want, fact is the only reason the game exists, and is as good as it is is because epic funded it, if it was up to Microsoft we never wouldve even gotten a sequel to begin with and steam actively takes more money from any game on their store than epic does, you can say its fair because steam has more users and better features… But at the end of the day, you prefer the company that actively takes more money from devs all because its more convenient to you? Like okay buddy, pretend youre superior if it helps you cope that much.
It has always been weird to me that PC players laugh about console fans that are attached to their console, yet somehow for PC players it's a sin to install another launcher for free within 30 seconds to buy a game they would love to support the devs.
@@david53444 lot of ppl do not want the hassle of multiple launchers and stuff. Me im just not gonna support epic store, its bad compared to steam and they got lot of those scam crypto NFT games. Overall epic store is just the worst store there is. Gog or steam are the top 2 easily.
@@david53444This. I play on everything, PS, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, handhelds, and streaming devices. I have been collecting games for 39 years and own well over 4,500 games across 15 different platforms, not including duplicate titles. I jumped into PC gaming about two years ago hardcore and have never understood the launcher devotion... Steam is good for sure, but I'd have missed out on so many "free" and dirt cheap titles if I just stuck with them and didn't expand to Epic, Pime/Amazon, Galaxy, Humble, EA, Ubisoft, PC Gamepass, etc... God forbid I have to double click one set of pixels over another... or keep a spreadsheet/database of what games I own and where they're housed...
As for Alan Wake 2, honestly it is a very niche game. It's not going to appeal to the casual FIFA/CoD/Madden audience, which immediately cripples its sales. Even if it were on Steam, the fact it hasn't sold well on PS or Xbox also speaks volumes. And I hate to say it, because I enjoyed the game (Played through it twice, once on Xbox and the other on Epic games), but Alan Wake 2 is really a glorified walking simulator. Take all that and put it into a bowl, mix it up, bake it on 350 for 30 minutes, and you get what we have now. I also hate that people are praising the fact they think they're doing us a solid by releasing it digital only (further hindering sales), and saying they can offer it cheaper by doing it this way. Uhm, no. $60 is still full price, just because you didn't sell it for $70 doesn't mean it isn't full price. Don't pee on me and call it rain.
I'd love to see a view model that actually looked like you were doing any of the things you were doing in Doom... You know like The modern Wolfenstein games

It would be a Zenimax issue. Its likely they would have closed them regardless of the acquisition or not
Alan Wake 2 could have been the best game ever the fact that it was only released on EGS did hurt it sales badly. If they release it on Steam tomorrow it will sell.

I think the Ps5 pro is a good idea. It’s not required to be purchased so I don’t see the push back. It’s a day one purchase for me. Switch and Steam Deck releases oled models for $100 more and I didn’t see the uproar that I’m seeing with Ps5 pro. Crazy

When the guys brought up how certain games of the past could be completely different depending on the console you played it on such as Jurassic Park…Abssii then brought up Doom 64 as an example. This is incorrect. Doom 64 isn’t a different version of the original Doom at all. It is a spinoff of the series and a sequel. I feel like Abssii didn’t understand what was being said during that discussion.

Hear me out... Sony in the end want PC Players to pay Ps+ to play online Playstation games in the future and that's why they are doing this, they want to check the waters and wait for the best minute to launch this idea. Maybe not now or in a couple of years... But wait 5 years and we will see.

I remember last year or maybe a couple years ago Abssi said that he didn’t see how Gamepass was really profitable and he received pushback, seems he was absolutely right. With the moves that MS has been making as of late it proves the GP model wasn’t profitable, and the ABK deal amplified that because now Big Microsoft is taking control. There is no argument to that and I don’t believe anyone can try to weasel out an opinion that makes any sense to prove that wrong.

Yo for real, I was mortified how he has been covering the Xbox stuff . He's acting way too emotional and reactionary and isn't thinking logically about any of what has occured, but then simultaneously now starts to push the narrative that Xbox shouldn't put CoD on gamepass if they want to make money, but can't see why they would close Tango.
