    It’s crazy that Brad mentions a significant tornado possible near Sulphur at 7:39:17 well before it actually happens. That man is truly the tornado sniffer. Andy, Brad, Ryan, and the rest of the crew are truly amazing people. Always callout a storm before it’s even warned. I recommend you to all of my friends and family as a midwesterner with family in Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Thank you!! My family in OKC area are fine but it was an eventful night.

    This is why I tune in to this channel during severe weather. At 23:38:10 Ryan Hall and Andy Hill indicated concerning rotation that would be heading towards Holdenville, Andy chimed in again with another update about the possible tornado. It took the NWS (23:43:52) about 6 minutes to confirm the tornado. This happened a few other times during this live stream as well on other streams that I have watched, every second counts. I will always come here for weather information, this team is amazing!
    Edit - times updated, Andy Hill stated a possible Anti-Cyclonic tornado at 23:42:04, this is RARE, nerding out. Love the channel!

    For all the people who are always saying they hope it hits rural, newsflash - people live here too. It's not being mentioned anywhere, but a small area of rural northeast Tx had a tornado skip through early Friday evening. Many of us, including myself, still without power and no restoration in the foreseeable future. So many trees down and mangled into the power lines. Praise be to God the houses in my immediate area were spared. No idea beyond that because of all the trees on the roads. Keep all in your prayers as more heavy rains come today and in the forecast for all week.

    • @citronquartz2779
      @citronquartz2779 Před 10 dny +6

      she knows that, she's just
      reminding us that we should
      remember that people still do live
      in rural areas before we say
      things like "i hope it hits a rural
      area". and i want to add that rural
      areas tend to have to wait longer
      for emergency services because
      rural residences are far apart and
      far from the urban areas where fire departments, police and hospitals tend to be located. some folks even live in "ambulance deserts"; areas where it takes an ambulance > 25 minutes to arrive

    I watched until you ended your broadcast. I have extended family in Sulphur, I live in Oklahoma (I don't want to say where), I have family stretched from Kansas into Missouri. My son, his wife and young daughter were in Dallas at the airport due to plane delays, when this storm started. I was a nervous wreck the last few days, to say the least. The way you reported this event was calming, factual, and as it happened. I noticed the delays, and general lack of warnings, from the local weather centers. The issue here, for us, is internet and or cellular coverage that is essentially zero when a storm hits so the warning system for us is severely lacking. I agree that the NOAA radio is the only way to know what to do, but that was not an "as it happened" local news event. This storm has opened my eyes to whether or not we have a proper alert system for most of us living in these regions.
    Thank you so very much for all you do, you kept us calm and saved lives.

    I wish I had known about you before the 27th. Our sirens in Marietta were not working the night our lil town took the major hit from the EF-4. By the time we received warnings on our phones it was too late. After we regained power, one of my many bosses mentioned your channel to me and I have been watching it since. I have to say that I much prefer to watch you than our locals because you seem to catch before they do. My family and I missed that tornado by just moments when we exited I35 coming home from Ardmore. After missing those tornados. Unfortunately I have traumatized children so it's just still a one day at a time at this point but we are working towards being okay.

    Ryan, Andy, the storm chasers and the whole y'all squad - you all did an amazing job on covering the multiday severe weather threats! Non-stop coverage in back-to-back long livestreams are no easy task, the amount of coordination and dedication is tremendous. I don't live in the US, but have been tuning in to all your livestreams since last year. I've learnt so much about the weather and how to read the radar, it's truly fascinating to me. I wish we had somebody doing this kind of work in my country, as nowcasting is the only way to save lives during tornado threats (even though tornadoes are rare in my country, a few lives are lost everytime they show up because there is no effective system to alert the people and people don't know what to do in those situations.)
