    When Daenerys talks to Jon in the cave and says "isn't their survival more important than your pride?" is just the same question Jon said to Mance when he tried to convince him to kneel to Stannis. Now Jon is on the other side and he understands is not easy to say YES even if it's the right thing to do

      Robert was far smarter then people gave him credit for the issue is he was a warrior who had no war to fight so being stuck at peace when he can't even do what he loves most was probably very irritating especially considering his oldest son was a sociopath and his wife is a idiot it's not surprising he was a drunk king he knew he was surrounded by snakes and he had no more wars to fight.

    It's episodes like this that separates GoT from all other TV shows. They literally set on fire 73 stunt people this episode. As their stunt coordinator stated, no film or TV show has ever done that in a whole show, let alone in one sequence. They also set 20 people on fire for 15 seconds at once, which is also a record in tv and filmmaking. That kind of commitment to visual storytelling and keeping it as real as possible is just amazing. Hats off to all those stunt people and their coordinator Rowley Irlam.

      Jamie was a little impulsive, but I can understand his thought process. If he could've killed Dany right there, even if it cost him his life, he would break her armies and his side would win. Head of the serpent and all that. I mean, after seeing the destruction Drogon caused in one battle, I can understand his desperation to try something so risky.

With its superb editing and CGI and the music scoring that helps create the intense atmosphere though a wise use of silence and sound, for me it is another masterpiece of this amazing tv show.

    Season 7 have these exciting, colorful episodes that are fun to watch...as long as you don't think logically about what happens on the screen. Like Arya's and Brienne's match (the most unrealistic fight in GoT and it looked stupid too), Dothraki vs Lannisters (since when are bare assed warriors, that don't know how to fight together, are a threat to a well trained army with shields and spears?). Instantaneous travel across the land is also a fun new feature in Season 7.

    • @themingler441
      @themingler441 Před rokem +3

      Huh? They tell the story of the Dothraki fighting against Unsullied, that's how the Unsullied are so famous. The Dothraki are training for warfare and horse riding from a very young age. They are seasoned warriors nd veterans. The Lannisters are as well, however Daenerys+Drogon shatter any attempt at creating a shield wall by creating gaps in their lines.

    • @BhlackBishop
      @BhlackBishop Před rokem +2

      uh no chief. perhaps you're confusing them with the wildling Army. Per the lore, the Dothraki hoard is an absolute menace to deal with on simple terrain. Modern day engines are still measured in horsepower for a reason. Bullet meets sheets of paper. but yeah fast travel is a nuisance.

    Also hate Daenerys and her arrogance. She talks about Jon's pride in not taking a knee, but says nothing of her own.

      they don't touch on it much in the show (besides the first season) but in the books her main reasoning is to go home/have her home back
      it may not have been her place she was raised in but it's literally her family legacy home
