    Arya knew Littlefinger would be lurking in dark corners watching her every move. And he was. He thought he was watching them, when in turn they were watching him. And I do think that's why Sansa was so adamant at pushing Brienne to go ahead and leave her there with Littlefinger. She wanted to pursue her plan with Arya to corner him at his own game.

      @christinestreeter8566 I go back and forth on that. The only reason I'm totally unsure that it was Sansa and Arya plotting the whole time is that scene in Arya's chamber when Sansa found her faces. Where was LittleFinger? Also, Arya did say "I wonder what it would be like to take your face and wear the pretty dresses and be the Lady of Winterfell. And she did say while yelling at him in court "You turned family against family, our mother and Aunt Lysa, and you tried to do it to us." I just don't know.

      @@pieceofdebri Nope. Sansa didn't trust Littlefinger since that time he sold her to the Boltons. She then used Littlefinger, making him believe she trusted him and at the same time having it her way (e.g. the battle of the bastards, when Sansa saught help from The Vale). Sansa, during the years, learned how to play well the "game of thrones" (as Cersei calls it).
      It's literally obvious the fakeness of the fight between Arya and Sansa. The Starks are extremely loyal to their family, so they would have never betrayed each other. Arya knew Littlefinger was spying on them and plotting to make them fight, so they played along.
      When they finally reunite in the Winterfell crypt, Arya tells Sansa that being lady of Winterfell suits her. When Arya asks if Sansa killed Joffrey, Sansa says she wishes she had, proving to Arya straight away that she hated him.

    As Littlefinger himself said "shes your sister, you know her better than I ever could." And Sansa knew Arya never wanted to be a lady. She is a warrior like Jon; the brother she "loves more than Sansa herself" which isnt actually true, but theres a little truth in that statement as both Arya and Jon willingly chose their fates and were at the bottom of the Starks; Arya being last in line for inheritence and Jon being a bastard.

    This show is so great because it mirrors real life mistakes, misunderstandings and greed that we make
    as a species. And back in the day, long long ago, families were married within families (sadly, there are few who still do today). But I’ve accepted that fact within this show. I have been waiting for John and Daenerys to be “King/Queen” because it makes sense by how similar they are. So with that said, I feel this is going perfectly. I am so happy with their love.

Put Daenerys on the throne, the Lannister forces would likely surrender - so whatever’s left can be added to Daenerys and Jon’s force to defeat the night king. With Daenerys on the throne you send ravens to every house in Westeros and tell them what’s going down in the north.

    Robert's rebellion was built on a lie. But who's lie? Someone must have told Brandon Stark that Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna before he rushed to Kings Landing to confront him, and the most likely candidate is Littlefinger. He hated Brandon and certainly wanted to get rid of him since he was engaged to Catelyn. Plus his "chaos is a ladder" theory must have come from somewhere, and he certainly profited heavily from the rebellion that followed. So he basically started both Robert's Rebellion AND the War of the five kings. Good he finally got found at and executed, and with his own dagger on less.

      @Raminagrobisfr Yes! I think the recipe for Dragon birth is you must have Blood of the Dragon (the gene that lets Targaryans claim dragon riders easier than others) and sacrifice 3 lives; a child/unborn baby, and sibling, and a spouse to birth Dragons. And maybe you also have to be female, She did all of this halfway instinctively from half-remembered dreams and portents, messages from people like Quaith, and dragon blood, because you gotta walk into the fire with magic heat-resistance, or whatever. But what really protected her was the magic itself.

    The whole Sansa Arya conflict was a ploy to set up little finger. Arya knew from the minute she laid eyes on him (the training fight) that he was up to destroy the starks. This is where her training kicked in… Sansa and bran were in on it or a while but kept hidden from us the viewers. Not sure when they became aware but since Arya was the architect and bran confirmed a lot it was clear they had to hatch a plan to get him in front of everyone for his crimes.

    • @CASantos
      @CASantos Před rokem

      Yeah, I figured that was implied because of Sansa naming things that factually happened, but LF wouldn't have told her, like framing the Lannisters for Jon Arryn's death and turning sisters against eachother. Bran likely just told the sisters everything, and LF didn't realize he didn't have the intel he thought he did, hence woefully misinterpreting Arya's motivations (anyone who knows her knows she wouldn't want to be the "lady" of anything, lol). Yet another reason this should've been a 10 episode season, a lot of this shouldn't have been as 'implied' as it was.

      When Cersei initially walks away, Dany says to Jon “I can’t forget what I saw north of the wall. And I can’t pretend Cersei won’t take back half the country the moment I march north.” She would still be focused on the iron throne if they didn’t get this truce.

    Sansa wasn't being a hater. She was being realistic. Jon's been playing the poitical game for a LOT LESS time than Sansa and she knows how the po.itical game is played. Jon is too much like Ned and Robb, whose decisions based on their morals got them both killed. I hated Sansa until her time with Ramsay, which really turned me around on her character. She became one of my favorites in the show! NEVER thought I would say that while watching seasons 1-3. As much as I like Tyrion the idea to go beyond the Wall and get a Walker was HIS idea, not Jon and Dany.

  • @dlweiss
    @dlweiss Před rokem +3

    Yeah, the whole "go north of the Wall to kidnap a wight" plan was even stupider than it first appears - because they established in season 1 that any dead person north of the Wall will quickly turn into a wight. So all they had to do to "capture" a wight would be to kill someone (either a brave volunteer or an enemy), place the corpse in a cage right outside the gate of the Wall, and then wait til nightfall for the corpse to reanimate.
    And to be clear: I know the writers wanted something more dramatic and exciting, but good writers know how to provide those thrills while ALSO not throwing plausibility and lore completely out the window.

  • @SliceOfDog
    @SliceOfDog Před rokem

    Cersei doesn't believe in grumpkins and snarks, her term for all the myths of what lies north of the wall. Euron has seen a lot of crazy stuff but we have no reason to believe he's ever seen the white walkers. Both of them have reason to believe that Dany and her northern allies would lie.
    So... why does Cersei concoct a plan that relies on Euron's reaction to them both being shown the zombie that she doesn't believe exists? What was she going to do if the zombie HADN'T been real, like she has believed was the case for seven seasons? And why didn't they concoct that plan based on the dragons that they both know DO exist? Have Euron pretend to be scared of the dragons when they arrive, and do the same plan. It makes no sense if you just imagine the conversation that had to lead to this successful deception.
    "Zombies aren't real. But when you see the real zombie you need to pretend to be scared."
    "And will you pretend to be scared as well?"
    "Oh, no, I'll be scared for real, because that'll be the moment I learn that zombies are in fact real."
    "And the dragons?"
    "Oh please, no one's been scared of dragons since season 4"
