    I got my 2016 Vulcan S cafe last July with 6000 km, 17000 km later, I love it more every time I ride it!
    I commute 4 days a week to work -filters like a knife-, went on a 3700 km tour/vacation around the UAE with only tank & tail bags.
    The fun really begins after you break it in, tons of agility and acceleration as long you only shift it after 8k Rpm.
    Did a couple of Gymkhana runs on it, peg scraping all day with awesome flicking ability.
    Comfortable on the highway especially with a windshield. Make sure you adjust the rear Preload to your liking.
    And an easy bike to work on in your own shed.
    Feel free to ask about any mods or any other information, I would love to help!
    Congratulations on your choice mate , and I wish you happy Holidays and a lovely new year!

      UncleRedDevil yes I took a test drive today itself. The bike is really comfortable as compared to the ninja series. One of the most comfortable one was versys 650.
      Any thoughts about that ?

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety

      Ayush Srivastava I've been wanting to sit on a Versys but didn't take the time to do so.
      It's a different bike for a different ride. The Vulcan is obviously lower and sportier.

    Nice to jump in here and meet Jellybean "officially"! I ride an '05 Vulcan 2000 and I am amazed that a bike that big, that heavy, that damn powerful is so nimble on her tootsies! A breeze to ride and maneuver and a pleasure to handle on the road. Congrats to you, UncleRedDevil, for landing on the Kawi side, and congrats to all your Vulcan riding commenters below!

    I had a Vulcan Classic 800 cc but had to sell it back in 2004...new wife and baby routine. Looking to get back on the horse again. Giving this bike a serious look. Not too worried about losing those 150ccs, as I understand it hauls ass just as well.

    I had the Vulcan 2015 as my second bike, very good cruiser and easy to ride when stepping up from a smaller bike. The 5 and 6 gears were so light that I had to install the gear indicator. Vibration is minimal compared to other V twin cruisers. I was sad to let her go after having her for a year.

    • @UncleRed

      I had a bike fever and bought 3 bikes in 3 months, starting with the Kawasaki Z125, then Vulcan S, and finally Yamaha FZ-10. I love them all and did many mods to them, but apparently 3 bikes were a little too much, so I decided to keep the one I ride the most which is the FZ-10. It was really sad to see the 2 kawi go. You're right regarding the stock exhaust; it's too quiet. Vulcan S is an excellent cruiser. Enjoy and ride safely :)

    bought my wife this bike last year added the two brother exhaust on it and oh boy what a head turner that made the bike sounds amazing better than the bigger Harleys, also you need to toss on a power commander and better air cleaner and you will get more power with doing very little to it.

    this in 6 - 650 will probably be my next bike. been on Kawasaki Eliminator 125s thus far. LOVE them! elims seem to go a bit more sporty on the bigger ones, if you can still get them. Vulcan is the way to go for cruiser. & I don't see me moving away from Kawasaki. have nothing bad to say about suzi, Honda, Yamaha etc - never rid them. but Kawa has never let me down. this bike looks like the thing I want to live & die on

    I don't have a Vulcan S but I like the bike. I had an 02 1500 Vulcan Classic and if this bike had been around in 03 when I bought that bike, there would have been no hesitation in me getting the Vulcan S. You chose the right color out of the options at the time. ;)
    I have an 02 ZZR 1200, which my gal bought for me used. It has about 65,000 miles on it now. A 2017 H-D Ultra Classic, and I picked up a KLR 650 late last year, I mentioned that deal in your dealership closing video.
    With those three bikes in my garage, I'm still watching your videos. So I'd say good job!

    I'm thinking of getting a Vulcan S with abs as a first bike. I'm not partisan sports nor cruiser, and find qualities I like in both, so this would probably do nicely. However, Kawasaki's color-scheme designers need a good flick on the ballsack for poor taste. I'd love to see a something more classic on these, like dark red tank on black.

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety +1

      Hah. Different colours for different places. The US and AUS have an awesome red which I wanted. The Orange grew on me over time. Of course I'm going to recommend a Vulcan. Always best to sit on one of you have a local dealership or even test ride one.

    Hey Red! I just learnt that the 2022 model will be available in "candy crimson red" in my country, which is like a deep wine color. What's your opinion of that color option? Here in Norway we've only ever had black and grey options with very minor color-accents, so finally seeing a full color option is very refreshing. I have however just fallen for the blacked out look, so I don't know which to go for. My go to argument for the crimson one is "it looks so rad on Uncle Reds channel" allthough it's a much darker finish than yours

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 2 lety +1

      Aha. Jellybean's in the "Pearl Lava Orange" finish. I wanted her in a black/red two tone finish some time ago as I loved the look.

      @007Kiristo Před 6 lety +2

      No, while the Vulcan S has Ergo Fit options, allowing the pegs to be moved forward or back a bit, it is like 1-2 inches they move the pegs. This is a sporty cruiser, so it rides/seats like a cruiser, not a sports bike (though it operates more like a sports bike than most cruisers). Moving the pegs back an inch or to will not put them behind you like a sports bike.

    Nice Review. Just got one myself a couple of months ago. Only got 90 miles on mine since winter hit here pretty hard. How loud is the Arrow exhaust at speed? Hard to tell from the video. I do like the color combo. I have the 2016 Cafe which was a new left over. Love the sound of the arrow. Looking for an exhaust that isn't as loud as the Two brothers. One thing you should invest in are mirror extenders. Unless you are a stick figure you really can't see much past your shoulders. It's the first thing I added. Ride Safe!

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety

      Thomas R. Smith Haven't rode with the stock exhaust so I can't compare but it evens out quite nicely. Nothing too loud or "in your face" unless you raise/drop a gear and give it some. Will definitely look into those mirror extenders. Noticed the same problem!
      Thanks! And ride safe. :)

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety

      PolarBimbi i plug a Rode microphone directly in to my mobile then use the pre-installed voice recorder software. Tried it with an iPod too which is about the same.
      It's not perfect but it seems to work well.

    Hi just watched ur vid on the vulcan S 2018, been looking at this bike for awhile as want a low rider, love the (orange), also love the deep purple colour but not available in uk. like the engine sound, the bike looks quick and nippy in traffic,
    what's the handling like without a fairing, do you get blown in chest? i seen vulcans with fairings on, im used to a fairing as have sports/sports-tourers. love the video

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety

      There's a fair bit of wind at 60mph+ so if you're looking to do longer rides, I'd suggest getting one. Handling makes the bike easy to fling in and out of corners and the sound is mainly thanks to the Arrow (Rebel) Exhaust for the Vulcan S.

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety

      Apologies. This is not the Arrow Rebel exhaust. It's the Vulcan S specific exhaust.

  • @Sinbad683
    @Sinbad683 Před 6 lety +1

    Is there a noticeable difference in power with the Arrow Exhaust? I got the Matte Black 2017 ABS version and I love it. I have been thinking of getting the arrow exhaust but it's super expensive for me at the moment. Ride safe :D

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety +2

      In all honesty, I've not rode the bike without the Arrow on!
      Apparently it can help the engine combust/breathe better due to the improved air-flow so... Think so. :)

    • @Sinbad683
      @Sinbad683 Před 6 lety

      Don't waste thousands over just some louder noise. Exhausts are just disposable money luxuries

    • @thinkdunson
      @thinkdunson Před 6 lety

      it isn't just louder noise. they will always have a weight savings, and they will always improve power. those are the only two real reasons to buy an aftermarket exhaust. the sound is just a bonus.

    I love my 2015 Vulcan "S", but I'd like that new one. Can you help?

    • @UncleRed
      @UncleRed  Před 6 lety

      You can go on the Kawasaki website to find a dealership nearest to you. Staff should be happy to help and take you through the process if you're looking to possibly trade your older model for a newer one. Brand new bikes need time to "break in" so take it easy and make sure you squeeze in a first service around the 600 mile mark to ensure everything is in working order.
      Good luck!
