Love this piece! How do you texture the surface so that the paint will bond to the smooth fibreglass?
Hi Candle. The surface is prime painted before the top coat. We also often use car body paints for good adhesion

What I would give to have something like this but I could never ever afford something like this
You can make a light weight paper mache' from toilet paper and drywall compound, it is real smooth. You would have to use some styrofoam pieces or something to build it up, then use chicken wire over it so the stuff would stick to it. You can use concrete too. Hire an artist for about 500 lbs. I myself could do it. You have to be an artist to do it. but it is easy just to put the stuff on the wall and not make molds. You don't really need to.
I want something interesting in my house and a green man type of fireplace like this would be really neat. I am still building, so I have plenty of time to plan it out.

We were follow the clients EXACT design based on their drawing. They didn't want any deviation. So that's exactly what we gave them!
I made a sign out of cardboard and a glue gun and then fiberglassed it turned out okayish a lot of cracking what you do is it possible to do names like a business sign? I want a sign for my church the name of JESUS ABOUT 2 FT BY 6 FT IS THAT DOABLE MAYBE YOU CAN SHOW ME HOW I CAN DO IT THAT WOULD HELP ME OUT SO MUCH I MEAN REALLY WHAT YOU DO IS JUST BEAUTIFUL PLEASE TEACH ME I WOULD LIKE TO SEND YOU A PICTURE SOMEHOW OF WHAT I'VE DONE PLEASE GET BACK WITH ME PLEASE I WANT TO DO WHAT YOU DO!!
