This movie brought up a lot of hidden feelings for me. The past there years I lost a young friend, a good friend, my great grandma and my grandma. I like to be the one with the smile on my face and the jokes to keep everyone else on steady ground, but I never confide in others with my feelings, so Wes's character really got to me.
The acting in this movie is beyond beautiful and touching. Losing someone close to you is hard, and watching those around you struggle with that loss can be even harder. And to captivate that struggle so truly was almost reliving to watch, like it was trying to say 'you're not as alone as you think you are'.

I found this a very sad, but uplifting movie that really hooked me in. The characters felt very real. Anyone who has lost a partner or parent will know how the characters felt here. I‘m so happy that I finally found a movie platform with perfect subtitles and different languages. It is so cool. This boxxy service makes movie watching so much easier for me.

This is a MUST WATCH movie you guys..I've had this movie downloaded in my laptop 2 months ago but i didn't bother to watch it. Yesterday, I got bored and checked my files and finally had the energy to watch this movie. It was really amazing, i dont want to put too much details about it but you should all check it out!

EDIT: so yeah...i ended up watching the movie right after i posted this comment and can i just say, I LOVED IT. It was sad and in some scenes, i dare say that my eyes did well up and i did feel all the frustration the characters felt, building up inside of me. All in all, i left satisfied and i would definitely watch it again

the kid is from Boyhood! He grows in the movie like no kidding! that is amazing and the actress looks like Mila Kunis.
As a kid I always wondered what it'd be like if instead of finding a child actor who looks like the adult actor they actually took a long time shooting the movie and used the same actor. Turns out, they started doing that in the year I was born, haha. (If I remember correctly Boyhood starting filming in 1996...) I really liked the movie, too.

I really don't think he grew that much in the movie. It was a pretty lazy resolution with little substance, and Odeya Rush's character wasn't developed enough, and pretty much acted only in service of the men in the film.
This is the first movie that ever made me cry🤧

@@faraazakhtar4983 did not deal with the topic of self harm in a helpful or meaningful way, plot in general was very one-dimensional, and odeya rush's character only existed in service of the men in the film, leading to little development, and her healing process being left to one short scene that could easily give young people the false idea that these issues are simple to deal with. Jk Simmons is good though.
@@crazynerd195 I do agree about the self-harm thing, and overall the development on odeya's character was indeed very little, but I do think that instead of showing Odeya as an MC, they meant for her to act as a foil to Josh Wiggin's character. I just really liked the way they portrayed the whole concept of getting over loss. and it was all enhanced so much more by Jk Simmons acting.
