    Secretary, Mayor Pete inspired me to be more socio-politically engaged unlike any other person in the past. He's direct and brilliant enough to speak from the heart rather than depending on others to do his thinking for him. At this point, he alone will either keep me engaged with his future decisions (I'm holding out for President, Mayor Pete)! or I'll likely retreat into the despair many of us felt before his arrival on the scene.

    People talk every day about climate change, how we should do more, how we should be listening to communities and giving them the tools to make their communities a greener, healthier, better place for everyone. This guy isn't just talking - he's actually doing it across the aisle, in the communities, competently administering a massive Federal department - and doing it with class despite receiving regular personal political attacks.

      He’s not the Energy Secretary, he’s the Transportation Secretary. Doofus. So if he’s doing anything unrelated to his actual duties then he should be fired for neglecting his job’s responsibilities.
      The department he oversees has been dismal since he began, many failures. Very poor performance.
      While you weakling liberals scream climate crisis, understand this.
      You can gradually build clean energy infrastructure in time.
      Instead, you idiots have hit the panic button. Screamed “climate crisis” and have driven the cost of energy way up. Every facet of energy cost, up. You weaklings are idiots. You didn’t change or do anything but make the cost of living more expensive. Are you dumb or what?
      You want to transition to clean energy, cool. I’m all for it. Go build solar panels and windmills like the world has never seen, make solar panels very cheap to be bought by consumers. Until you’ve built clean energy infrastructure stfu about how dangerous and deadly you think the energy 99% of our nation is reliant on is.
      Liberal climate crisis goofs haven’t changed or improved the climate at all, they’ve driven the cost of a/c, heat and gasoline way up. Nothing more. Call that progress? Are you stupid or just weak?

      You mean the Transportation Secretary, Pete? The man who let barges backup for months at every port in America while he was on maternity leave. Maternity leave because his husband had adopted a son. That’s your hero, huh? True man’s man, yeah? lol.
      While America’s supply chain was struggling more than it has in decades, our leader Pete was taking more maternity leave than I’ve ever heard an actual mother take, to spend time with his husband and the child they adopted. The beta male hero.

      If the surface of the planet and the air/atmosphere reached the temperature at which the rate of infra-red radiation from the atmosphere into outer space equalled the rate of solar infra-red input into the surfaces of the planet you would not say, 'Now, add the CO2 re-radiated infra-red to the solar infra-red and that is what equals the total infra-red input into the surfaces of the planet' because if this were the case the temperature of the surfaces of the planet would continue to increase having reached the point at which there would be 'radiative equilibrium' between the SUN and the surfaces of the planet/atmosphere which would be illogical because the implication of this would be that the rate of infra-red radiation from the surfaces/atmosphere would have to increase to a higher rate than the rate of solar infra-red input into the surfaces of the planet which means that a surface temperature increase would be impossible/'unsustainable' [or if it were possible the same adding together of re-radiated infra-red and solar infra-red as above would have to repeat over and over again 'perpetually' in the case of the same process occurring, for example, inside an oven resulting, eventually, in the melting of the oven?] as the internal accumulation of thermal energy in the surfaces/atmosphere would violate the 1st law of thermodynamics, i.e., ' ... energy cannot be created ... ' and where would the energy be coming from if not from a source external to the 'ground-to-air/atmosphere energy storage "system"'? Therefore, if CO2 molecules instantaneously and totally absorb the terrestrial infra-red they receive from the 'ground' and other CO2 molecules below and immediately re-radiate it in all directions and at the same rate in all directions then no infra-red is reflected by the gas as it would be by the glass of a greenhouse and, instead, simply 'passes straight through' the CO2 in the air/atmosphere as if it simply were not there at all [?].

    • @JamesHenderson-ue5db
      @JamesHenderson-ue5db Před rokem

      @@FerallHog The 1st law of thermodynamics: Energy input minus energy output = measure of heating effect. 'Energy "input"' cannot include re-radiated infra-red because the 1st law also states that ' ... energy cannot be created [only converted] ... ' and re-radiated energy is not extra energy conversion as would be extra solar infra-red converted from 'solar "fuel' as CO2 in the air is not acting as a fuel which means if it could add to the measure of heating effect of the ground then this would mean energy were being 'created' which would violate the 1st law of thermodynamics provided that it is the case that CO2 does not 'reflect' but 'absorbs and immediately re-radiates' or 'does not interact with/impede upwards travel of' terrestrial infra-red directed towards it, i.e., re-radiating the infra-red in all directions and at the same rate in all directions and not 'trapping' radiation like the glass of a greenhouse.
