How have you been making your pleats? Is this method easier for you?
Thank you! Brilliant!!
You're welcome!
Well, that's much better than my "eyeball it and hope for the best" method. Very clever!
LOL- yes definitely better than that method and also better than using a fork for accuracy …. Please share and check out some of my other tutorials. Cheers!
This is SO much easier than measure and fold !
it sure is! I hope you give it a try. Have fun!😊
How efficient ! Nice hack.Thanks.
Glad you like it!
Thank You So Much
Absolutely a treasure of gift blessings 🤗

Thank you for showing how to make that handy tool. I love pleats! They give such gorgeous touches to projects!
You are so welcome! Hope you give it a try😊
Wow!!! This is a brilliant idea and this tool definitely makes it easy. I spend hours making a pleated skirt couple days ago and it was frustrating.... and dreading making another skirt. so I just searched on "easy pleat board" to find a simpler faster way to make pleats and found your video! Thanks so much for sharing this ingenious idea and tool.I will try this method soon.
Glad you like it. This won’t create long sharp pleats from waist to hem if that is what you are after. Pleat board is best to do that otherwise you will still need to do a lot of measuring and pleating. Thanks for watching😊
@@NotchesSewing I just wanted to make knife pleats or box pleats for skirts and easier way to pin and sew them at the waist... so your creation would work amazingly well. I will make it in 1 and 1.5 widths so it will cover all my pleating needs. :) Thanks again!
Ok great👍
Brilliant
Thanks Lynn😊
What a great tool! Love your sewing tips.
Thanks so much!
This is totally awesome, I use the cutting mats from Dollar Tree they were 2 for a dollar before they raised their price to 1.25$ but still a good deal for templates.
That’s a great price! No dollar tree here in Australia where I am…..

Oh my gosh, I have to share this with my daughter. She does art and craft shows. Many of them are steam punk that require her to be in costume. She’s gonna love this! Thank you !
Thanks Joyce. Please also have a look at some other videos on my channel. She may find the butterflies and tassels tutorial useful as well. Cheers!
Back in the late 1950's and early 1960's I wore pleated skirts. It took a long time to get those pleats even. It would have been wonderful to have known how to do this then. However, I do make pleats on many items (like on the bottom of slip covers). This is good to know. Thank you for this video.
You’re vey welcome. Give it a try with some scrap. It’s quite satisfying. Have a great day!
I'll try this out! I've tried the fork but it works way better for zipper pulls ;)
My usually method is to mark each one with a projector and then fold and pin each by hand but I'd love to graduate to something faster.
This will save you a bit of time without the pins especially if you have very long lengths to make. Have fun!
Hi! What’s the fabric name? Is it satin?
it is quilting cotton
I use a fork.
Fork will work but not perfectly square and not flat enough for accuracy
