    We africans need to seriously pay attention to our natural foods (greens, fruits, vegetables, grains, beans etc). We must learn how to save seeds and propagate plants.

      Absolutely! The future of Africa's food is dependent on it.

    Just like the fruits, I hope Africans take pride in even the rice (Oryza glaberrima) and other grains as well as herbs that are originally from there, and to do well in propagating them even more. Thanks for revealing and disclosing your passion for wanting to see the production of those fruits' you disclose that are unknown to some of us in the diaspora. I'm from Jamaica and just happy to know that there are still peoples like yourself that take a particular interest in seeing the survival of fruits that are unpopular but indeed serve a great purpose for our survival. One love❤.

    The problem is a lack of commercial cultivation, it is possible to make these plants more available to the masses without loosing the genetic integrity of the plants in question otherwise the apples, grapes and sundry other fruits and vegetables that originate outside Africa will dominate simply because people will be more familiar due to the established market and familiarity of the supply chain.

    • @MsingiAfrikaTV
      @MsingiAfrikaTV  Před 15 dny

      Its a possibility. But you know what happens to any that goes the way of commercialization. They get monopolized and then corrupted for more money. We should not allow that to happen. If there are continental policies that protects these crops, then maybe what you have suggested can be applicable.

      @@stinkymccheese8010 now you are making me laugh in Swahili...imagine AU is one of the signatory to UPOV. The very Upov that is against indigenous seeds. And besides, when have you seen AU make any policies that is binding to all African countries?

    Boring and not healthy. Have you notice some of these fruits have no odor or scent, They bathe these fruits in a mixture that keeps them spoiling too quickly. Have you also notice how hungry you feel after eating these fruits. Fruits are organics and therefore should have a scent. Mangoes in the US taste the same, doesn't matter what kind of mangoes. And most are tasteless, does not have flavor unique to that type of mango.. Do not even talk about pineapples. I have a niece who haven't eaten bananas in years, because to us it taste so bad. We are originally from Jamaica. Plantains, yams, sweet potatoes, turns black on the outside when you cook them. Just no good. Causes your throat to hurt and itch. Has anyone in the US ever experience this?

    • @MsingiAfrikaTV
      @MsingiAfrikaTV  Před 8 měsíci

      I have heard several people complain of what you are talking about tasteless fruits. Thank goodness, the fruits in Africa both wild and domesticated are the real deal. The first time my husband tasted custard apple, he couldn't believe what he had been missing. Anyways, thanks for watching. Please remember to subscribe to this channel, like and share this video. Are seeds available for these fruits , shipping to Australia ?

    • @MsingiAfrikaTV
      @MsingiAfrikaTV  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes they are but since the fruits are not concentrated in one African country, then it becomes difficult to get the seeds in one place. But you can google for the African countries where each fruits are located and by that be able to know where to get the seeds. Anyway, thank you very much for watching.
