I had the same issue when I played ball, of course no where near his level. But I do understand where he came from when he said he couldn’t control his speed and finesse, being a smaller but fast guard myself. I could shoot fine and everything else but I would miss layups, especially the wide open ones and it ultimately became a mental hurdle over everything else. I make my layups now but I did mirror that fear he had at some point. I think it had everything to do with height and overcompensating momentum and strength when laying up.

Philly to all the other teams: Ohhhh, so it was his fear that amde Simmons pass up a wide open dunk cuz it was definitely a WIDE OPEN LAYUP for Thybulle. Wow, Simmons is a great man! His trade value has been increased.

Who has the better basketball scene is not the same question as who has the most basketball propects make it to the NBA. Figured I would point that out for anyone who travels the city watching a billion basketball tournaments in NYC and wants to snatch JJ's head off his shoulder after he chose Seattle's "scene" over NY's.
