Overall MBC seems too young and inexperienced, there was almost 5-6 ball no pass after pick n roll , and both the guards and the screen guy did not have any comms , its always 1 screen n shoot 3. Miller fight for the offensive rebound a lot of times, no players were going in to help and it got turnover back , everyone is waiting for 3s. Coach Guga mentioned he brought the import in for him to do the dirty work and he did. The local players need to step up, No 15 in the post was terrible, either pass it to keep the rotation going when 2-3 man is guarding you or post n get a foul, got stripped like 3-4 times holding the ball too long. Too many wild shots from the guards, Miller fight for space inside when you guys got the steal but no one pass to him.
The good part is the full court press is looking good , got Tigers to turnover almost 6 ball before half court. Just need to capitalize on it and score it with confident or get the foul. Tigers ability for full court pass make the fcp to enable cherry pick and score as a result. MBC needs confidence , players seem to be struggling on decision making.
Tigers played with confidence, It felt like during ending of 1st quarter , mentally they already won. Players were composed every time the score gets closed up and still keep the battle going. YT play well , great energy on defense, keeping offensive player in check and not confident to drive in. Good decision making to keep rotation moving and his ability to go very well in pick n roll with Thomas. Chee Wei superb on offense with the highlight play on 1st quarter ending shot and and1 in the paint. Thomas is playing very well a scorer type player and able to play multiple positions. John is a player u need on every team, very consistent and have good D and knows how to play with the guards to keep rotation of ball. Hoong Sheng does his job to keep driving in and play around the glass with a good finish. Joon Kang consistent , do not touch the ball a lot but able to draw fouls and go for hustle plays. It seems Coach Yong gave each player a good role to fit into. Only vital thing is the consistency for players to show up every game. This game could have been a 15-20 point deficit.
