I feel like 2k nerfed some jump shots and jump shot base’s this season without telling us. Because i go to sleep Thursday and everything good and i hop on Friday my jumpshot feels different and i cant make ish!

I think ProPlay is fine but it’s the built in input delay that screwed up the gameplay for 2K. Animations get so screwed up from jump shots not getting registered because you are holding the button too early, to your hands not going up to contest shots on defense when you are holding the right stick up the entire time

Good point so they put the different releases in so that it can try notice I said try to match the equipment the user has. Meaning TV, monitor, controller, internet speed, etc. The things is everyone is using different equipment and they really have no idea to get a base of what a user may need to make the gameplay perform at an optimal level.
@@Heatstroker exactly and I know I got pretty good internet with a 3-5 year old tv, and a wired controller so my input delay shouldn’t be too horrible but some games things don’t register. A few of my friends have gaming monitors and even they told me they don’t notice much of a difference between their newer monitors and my tv. 2K has just tried to combat the zen/titan users in the wrong way with the input delay when really the only way to fix that problem is flat out IP banning them and forcing them to rebuy a new console, make a new account, and go through that process just to replay the game again with their mods

Now, on the subject of animations, it blows my mind how the community is always asking for *more* animations but they all use the same ones theur favorite content creator is using lmao Every park game, every rec game, everyone is using *The Same* 3 or 4 dunk, dribble, post-up, jumpshot animations smmfh Mfs just love to *Complain* 😳🙄
You’re forced to do that when certain animations are ineffective vs the animations that work like they should. Especially with jump shots. If I have a 92+ 3pt rating… I shouldn’t have to hunt for a jump shot that allows me to shoot percentages that reflect a 92+ rating.
The ppl that can actually dribble don’t want to use the same moves. In years prior u can use non meta moves and still cook. This year you’re really at a disadvantage using non meta moves esp against a good defender. I don’t use the John wall/steph pullback a lot of ppl use to be different. But the Murray btb is essential. All we can do is play the game they make it’s not our fault.

I don’t mind Pro Play, why having supposedly 406 new jump shots when only few works. Everybody is using the same jump shot, same animations. It’s exhausting tbh
2k just isn’t fun anymore use to look forward to hopping on after work with my homies now I can barley play it game just at a point it’s unplayable or enjoyable how it use to be in past years

My C literally gets frozen in place when I try to run and close out on a defender or help. Annoying and since the season started I can’t make a dunk under the rim for shit. Literally got stuffed at the rim with no one there. And can’t get a block.
My question is why does pro play animations need a yearly rollout when they are able to update players likeness with each season update
People doing even try blending their animations. Everyone just spams escape moves and the Jamal Murray. Watching players like Ron Bato showed that pro play can look and feel amazing
Personally... at times I think 2k forgets it's a sports sim "RPG" game. They often neglect the RPG aspects of their game, focusing on adding "new," often overhyped & and underperforming, features/mechanics all while expecting us to pay more. When an RPG type game lacks the basics and charges the consumer to do something as simple/core to the game as leveling up or getting the animations/movements req for your player (after already paying $70-$100 to get the game) it's blatantly telling you they're out of touch or just don't care.
In a relationship (yes, this is a business relationship with 2k... they expect us to pay for a service/product and we expect them to deliver said service/product) when some1 tells/shows you they don't care... what do you do??
Yeah but matchmaking needs to be seriously adjusted to player ability (grade) or performance category & stop the randomness that mismatches you...I can accept losing but not the way they got it setup with 🤡 s standing out of bounds and such...no one wants to waste 30 minutes with players like that or quit to then be punished by 2k 👈💯#changematchmaking

im a huge fan of pro play myself the only thing i dislike in the current 2k is how youre always hard locked in animations and theres never a way out no matter what input you press which leads to you queing up a bunch of inputs because youre panicking in a bad animation and then your player doing something you might not even would want to do anymore after that animation is finished. Although i do understand the balacing reasons for animations to be an actual commitment this is why things tend do feel very stiff or janky. For example when someone has you in a bump hip ride animation from a badge like clamps you cant do anything other than keep driving until that animation finishes which often leads to people getting ripped because theyre driving into a help defender but they couldnt even stop the drive in the first place.
i feel like if they find ways to make the animations more mutable/fluid in the next game that would be a massive improvement for pro play but in general i feel like player animations have never looked more authentic in 2k. (for example this is the first 2k as far as i can recall where a normal dribble spin move actual looks like a normal dribble spin move)
Pro Play, imo, is mainly for the play now and myteam crowd. Specific players with specific styles using specific moves. The myplayer customization screws all that up because there are just some player styles that just dont mesh smoothly. Too many boxes animations.
All of us are responsible for this… when they first introduced VC as a way to upgrade my players we just accepted it. Now we all complain about a monster we created

the only reason I got on is because the gave me 15k vc so i had to input the code and then got off....but I got a feeling what just happened with Clark and her
humungous following, 2k wants that money so theyre going to announce a K Clark cover athlete and will be used in the park....
I shoot 50% + across all builds and I still don’t have the confidence you should as a 2k vet the game is so RNG and pro play is cool but it’s not what 2k was built off of pro play has no place in 2k it’s gone way to far off base
Does it really matter if only 1-3 animations are going to ebe used(most broken) the whole community uses the same playstyle they saw on CZcams
Bro the one game I was winning in rec then I got error code. But no error code code when I got Ls. I got banned for 30mins for winning.
This year has to be the least amount of time I play 2k crazy part is I can go at least 3 to 4 days and not play 2k and wouldn’t care compared to back in the day playing 2k everyday

I haven’t seen any pro play animations while playing online. Everybody is the same build again and doing the same old moves. I deleted it yesterday, I’m done. I say that but then I get that basketball itch.
Re: ProPlay - after hearing on one of your other videos, I believe, the inbounding and passing animations are so glitchy this year due to ProPlay. too many times you will make a routine pass that sails out of bounds when the person is less than 10 feet away from you. Inbounding feels glitchy too at times. And these are mistakes that can literally change the game. I actually lost a game last night because I had a man streaking up court with nobody near and the pass lead him into defenders for a turnover (despite 86 pass acc & necessary badges at silver or higher)

I think a good part of that fun aspect left when dribbling became more sim. I think this 2k took some great steps defensively but offensively the dribbling is ass very few effective move and the game speed not fast. But I’m one of the few that enjoys 24 compared to the last 3 2ks that came out.
Squad and no squad rec had ruined this 2k for me, I only play with 1 or 2 people mainly. A couple of buddies of mine have tried the wnba mode and it’s been actually pretty fun, would love to see them add a 5v5 mode for it too

What’s the point of 400 pro play animations when only 10 are worth using?
If I’m playing ones or twos and my opponent/ opponents quit or lag out I think I should be granted the win without having to play AIs

I love how i stand in front of the arc in the paint to meet a high driving layup player and with hands up just goes through me with no body contact makes a green layup and it says open lol 2k you suck you lucky your the only basketball game i can play and it sucks cause im a big basketball fan i have no other options
Pro play will be better but I feel like it’s just an added feature to make their job easier cuz the animation were never the problem on 2k
first year of proplay. seems like it was mainly used as marketing. keep in mind i solely play mycareer but it seems like the gameplay looks most janky i've seen. started in 2k20 btw. idunno if it's always been like this, but animation transitions look the most robotic and stiff than ive ever seen. it's like you can almost see animations branch off into other animations in a very stiff looking way and nothing really looks smooth unless it's just a singular animation playing out. again it's their first year on apparently a new engine so i won't fault them as much as i would want to, but if it still looks like this 2 years later then i'll know it's incompetency.
Just make there own game or just add what side to pick to go in to the world. Of both myplayer.
I still haven’t touched wnba quick match, didn’t that come out back in 2020 or something 😂. Still haven’t got to it, never will.
I also feel after 2K16 my career has fallen all the way off, they need to fix this as well, it kept people interested in Mycareer instead of using it as a testing ground for builds for Rec n Park etc.

they do have female myplayers in the W but tbh that mode is actually good as is and an amazing relief from what we get in mycareer so i the gatekeeping side of me doesn't really wanna bring it to light because ik 2k will find a way to ruin it. but going the W online is very seamless. create a female myplayer, choose what type of archetype you wanna play as, choose if you want more buzz but start off as a 75 overall, or if you wanna start off as an 85 overall but with less buzz. i think buzz helps you get more accessories and things for the player but i'm not entirely sure. then you just upgrade her by simply playing the game and leveling up. nothing extra about it at all and on top of that, you just search for games and get into playing ball. if you're reading this and you don't like the extra that comes with mycareer i can definitely suggest it. if you don't really want it to change you should probably keep it lowkey tho cause if it gets too much exposure... 2k will just be 2k.

Why nba live stop making games?
The moment 2K became focused on RPG and the “my career “ concept that went away from being a NBA SIMULATION that also trended into groups of mindless no priority having teens-men wasting hundreds to thousands 🤦🏽♂️ of dollars annually on a $70 game. Buying the same shoes, clothes, etc annually with scripted animations that decide the interaction between two competing opponents
So pro play what I have noticed. Yes it make the movements off. But if you do the movements right they work better. Maybe it me. But if a play like to pull up off a step back what every pro shooter movements you using. But you using a side step the shot times off. That's why I'm been noticing. I use a jump shot I won't name and when I do it like he do almost never miss when I just shoot to be shooting it's like a 35 % to 45% chance I make. That's why I'm noticed but I don't no nothing I'm a old head.
The lack of female MyPlayer most likely is due to the difference in MyCareer. WNBA seasons are 24 games versus the 82 of the NBA. It would be hard to make a MyCareer that encompasses both genres so 2K would need to bridge the gap in the city for now. Allow players to upgrade their MyPlayer from the W with VC in the same manner you do with MyCareer and let them play in the city and rec with the men. The next part may upset the sim heads but you’re going to have to open up their builder and allow us to make them taller and stronger and more athletic. Basically give them the same builder and limits as men to make it equal to avoid controversy.
😂 I ride on the same skateboard I was given from the start. I’m not buying no bike, halo suit. I have the same shirt , jeans, and shoe. Hell all I do is rec or push start and go to my career mode. That other stuff for kids

It’s a problem adding more my players when the main base of players hate the gameplay. They’re focused on making the people who don’t play and wanting to make play versus holding and milking the base they have with good gameplay.

2k never fail to dissapoint. After i earned 70k VC it dissapeared after season 5. I emailed 2k support and they told me there is no issuee with my VC history then I asked them so where did my VC went since I didnt spend or purchased anything and told the support that they can check it ib their system and they didnt respond. I wish some developers create a new nba game cause is a monopoly now!

Honestly, I think once we were given the option to buy our way to the “prizes” (ie: level 40), it took away everything we use to stand for. It took away being able to feel good about the rewards we unlock. Of course people are annoyed by the rewards now…cause there’s no “earning” them. Ppl have access to everything immediately so they want more and more. I feel like 2K is in its “participation trophy” phase. 😂🤷🏻♂️

Yes, I think ProPlay is a W, but also keep in mind this is the first 2K game to use it. To elaborate, the mechanic is in its Infancy, so undoubtedly the implementation of ProPlay will get more efficient in each title going forward 🤔

Everything is super RNG and unpredictable nothing feels skill driven and it’s moved so close to IRL NBA basketball to the point where what we loved about the game has been snatched away like the fast movement somewhat unrealistic dribbling and just the overall movement it made the game fun fast and actual feel like a video game 🎮
I think 2k need to really think about the word MY PARK .. doesn’t have to be a game mode surrounded by going to the NBA. They have to find a way to make the game feel like as if I’m going to Play pick up basketball n 9 times out of 10 it will be a fair game cuz nobody out there is good enough to play league

MONEY is what drives this developing company now, The reason why they're bringing out this gibberish is to just fill up the seasonal reward pannels so people can spend more and more money on the season etc. They should replace the Seasonal Shit and debunk it don't need it, just go back to the old systems.

Of course, they don't have to put effort in because a lot of people will spend thousands on a copy and pasted game that gets released every year with barely any changes.
I've said for a while that Live has this opportunity to do something in this space. Instead of shooting for a yearly release, they should go to every other year and just build the game up and undercut 2K with quality and quantity. Kinda feels like Live just doesn't have the drive to get their game where it needs to be to compete.
2K cared because they were trying to catch NBA Live, now they own the market and don't care at all. No passion because either way the community spending crazy money.
