if you want a mycareer with no microtransactions just start a franchise, make a player, and put it on player lock. then you can have him progress how you want to and give him jumpshots, layup packages, etc., all without spending a dime

For reference, FIFA’s Volta, Pro Clubs and Career modes don’t require any financial input to improve your character AND start you at an 80 overall, sure EA has its own micro transaction issues, but 2k is WILIDING with how they try to do us, just gotta make a decision for ourselves to not go for it

Nah that's a false equivalency. To make them equal FUT's gold coins would have to be the same as the XP earned in all other FIFA modes. The same pool of coins would then be used for non FUT career mode upgrades. The FIFA player special skill unlocks would also be locked behind coins as well. Also, you can play FUT without ever spending real money buying packs. The game throws coins at you and compeleting the numerous SPCs earn you packs left and right. EA are scummy. 2K are on a whole different and far more predatory level. You're also forgetting that EA gives returning players coins and shit while 2K just laughs in your face @@aShszZz2Z

It’s so sad because the gameplay of this game looks really fun, but that gets overshadowed by TakeTwo’s greed and their push for players to spend more money instead of trying to give their playerbase a fun and engaging experience.
The gameplay gets boring really fast, don’t fall for the hype. Theres older 2K’s that are way more enjoyable than this tbh.
They’re making it so obvious now they don’t even care. They completely took out our personal rooms where we could practice shots, and made it so we have to travel to the sponsored Gatorade facility that is super glitchy. This year isn’t even fun.

This game is a downgrade from the previous 2K’s, feels and looks more like an NBA Live game rather than a 2K game.
@@cactusjack2264This game feels significantly better than any of the other modern 2ks. Its not as good as some of the much older ones like 13 but way better than the other 20s. And the layup meter is great, you can actually make contested layups now instead of layups just being automatic misses on tough layups and automatic makes on open ones. Still dont recommend buying this game because they're literally just scamming you at this point

They call it "My career" but nah it's 2k's specified badges and builds career. It used to be 250k to get a 99 (hasn't been a true 99 since 2k12) its now 500k+ for a 99 now will they still limit everyone because of their stupid focus on park while park players want nothing to do with "My career" 2k Needs to separate the two modes and allow career players to make demi god wemby like players and have park be its own mode with its stupid limitations and build limits.

2k23 was pretty good minus the career story line and having to do music and fashion shows and walk around too much.
You only have people playing in the Knights affiliation park, and in the evening. Everything else is empty (Theater, Rec, etc.)

the reason why the points went negative is because he went over the 32 bit integer limit (which is just a bit over 2 billion points). Once you go over this, you go into the negative

Team no money spent is pretty much impossible this year with badge regression. They are trying to force the people like me that don't spend money and just grind it out to buy attribute points and waste the badge floor upgrades. Because without them you will never be able to keep any hall of fame badges after each patch messes up a build

Honestly it’s better this way if you don’t play one way you can’t automatically just change your style of play just because you need to. Lebron was traditionally a post up guy/slasher and even after years of increasing his 3pt volume he’s still not a knockdown shooter. Reality doesn’t work where you can just flip a switch and completely over haul how you play basketball.

Just got the game after 3 years. This game keeps regressing in everything.
They tried to do it like 2K18/2K19 badge system where you had to do specific things in games to get that certain badge but it’s failing horribly. In 2k19 the badges had a number progression on it so u would know how close u are, and they would actually count your progression instead of working 1 possession and then not even showing up the next possession
Its because 2k will put out microtransactions to boost badge progress.

You should be able to exchange your build for the amount of vc you have spent to upgrade that build so when they do release other animations and requirements you can just exchange that build for the vc you have put on it and can just make another build.
You already know they’re gonna treat your builds like a used car with 200k mileage and give you 50 VC for it lol
