Better than ALL the crap now.
DUR DUR "My MuSiC BeTa DaN YoUrS" fucking idiots. while i agree shaming others to up hold your views is childish at best.
4 couniting the harmonica.
100% correct
You mean most off it 😎
man thats the most underrated genius of all country history
Tony Joe and J J. Cale. Two Brothers that were doing their own thing.
No ones has ever been able to Duplicate their Groove!
I agree 100%
I agree but take a look at Tommy Emmanuel
Greetings from a 69 yr old fart from over in South Africa, 100% correct, both had a very distinct style and groove that no one else could capture, and both outstanding song writers as well, i read an interview on JJ by Eric Clapton, where he said JJs guitar playing looks and sound easy, until you try and play it, he said he still has not mastered it
Let's not forget B.W. Stevenson, light years ahead of his time
NEVER DID I REALIZE JUST HOW TALENTED TJW REALLY IS,,,NOT BEYOND POKE SALAD,,,AS SOON AS I HEARD HE WROTE RAINY NIGHT A LIGHT WENT OFF,,,WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING,,,MAN OH MAN,,,THAT TUNE RAINY NIGHT IS AN ALL-TIME FAVORITE OF MINE ,,,JUST HIS SONG WRITING IS ENOUGH,,,BUT WHAT A PERFORMER,,,THE COMMAND OF HIS PERFORMANCE IS NEXT TO NONE,,,AND HIS GUITAR PLAYING IS SO UNIQUE,,,WICKED PLAYER
Not heard about "Troll's" yet then ? LOL You've got a TREAT ahead if you duz a bit of searching..... PS, This is not a particularly good song of his.
ITS ALL SUBJECTIVE,,,MY GROOVE IS JUST THAT,,,MY GROOVE,,,I'LL BET YOU ARE'NT HIP TO KNOW THAT THE NAME OF THIS LOVELY TUNE " I GET OFF ON IT", WAS A VERY POPULAR CATCHPHRASE AT THE TIME,,,SO TJ GETS IT ACROSS VERY VERY WELL,,,AND NO I DON'T THINK "TROLLS" IS A VERY GOOD SONG,,,AS I SAID ABOVE TJW IS JUST BRILLIANT IN HIS CRAFT,,,THERE ARE'NT MANY THAT CAN DO ALL THAT HE DOES,,,WRITING,,,SINGING,,,WICKED GUITAR PLAYER,,,WRAP THOSE 3 TALENTS UP AND THAT IS JUST WHY HE IS ABLE TO BE SUCH A GREAT PERFORMER,,,KEEP ROCKIN'@@HTJB60
I wish I had known him when he was here on earth. What a gorgeous handsome genuine and Most talented Country performer. Love to him & his family ❤❤❤
After 40 years its still swinging, Rest in Peace Tony!.

What rhythm , what tone.
This guy is so underrated
Tony Joe White was maximum cool
man that different level of awesome
Funk with humor and a killer rhythm section not to mention a voice and guitar rarely seen.
Tony Joe White, (R.I.P.) remains an icon and star in my Milky Way. We are blessed to be able to see the incomparable style and composition of his repertoire, mostly written by himself.
whole band in the GROOVE !!!!!!!!!!!
Tony White had his own style of guitar playing that I've never heard anyone duplicate, very original and very unique and pure genius.
Notice how he did his upstroke when he picks the high strings and creates a sound I've never heard anything quite like before. He does it so effortlessly almost 2nd nature. And to think He wrote most of the songs he sings is an amazing talent. He was born to be on the stage with his cocky attitude you can see he was in his element and very relaxed.
Precisely what I was thinking...
Yes, he was real old school in his technique: rolling back the volume knob on his guitar whilst he is singing, then increasing the volume for a boost when he is soloing. A lost art form in these days of multi-channel amps.
Very astute comment. I've seldom seen a guitar player this interesting, and this effective. He's unique. What's cool is that his playing is ALWAYS in the service of the song. To be so obviously inventive, yet contained, is true artistry. I only wish I'd discovered him sooner. I would have so loved to see him live.
Mark Knopfler and Keb' Mo' definitely lifted his style for a lot of their stuff. Just to name a couple.
@@sisterdebmac Yeah totally this strpped-down stark sound and feel leads right into Dire Straits first album. What I love is his use of that Octave pedal. Can't quite make out which one it was.
Average song but the musicianship is off the charts. Drummer was born a metronome.
Fukk it....this guy was the KING OF COOL!!!!!!
Oh.My.Stars!
Those guitar 🎸 licks...nice
Rest In Peace Tony Joe White.
