I don’t think Pains durability honestly deserves to be a meme tbh, sure the Paths are inconsistent because they’re dependent on Nagato giving them chakra, but Tendo pain tanked a TBB from 6 Tails Naruto, the Asura Path got up after being hit by an attack from Choza (who can catch attacks from V2 Kinkaku) AND the Raikiri in rapid succession. Kunai and swords are weird in Naruto, as even very durable people seem to have regular human skin outside of chakra enhancements / cloaks, Kakuzu for example needed to use diamond skin to not get cut by an attack from a special Jonin (Raido) and actually got sliced in half and pinned down by Izumo and Kotetsu (those 2 guys) in the war arc (Minato was even going to slice through the Raikage with just a kunai). Tendo Pain also tanked 6 tails Naruto reflecting his own ST back onto him and that broke every bone in Gamabunta’s body, Gama can tank attacks from Shukaku (who is def NOT the weakest Bijuu like people think he is, Gyuki debunked the tail ranking argument). So Pain is definitely a lot more durable than people think he is when he needs to be.
At best he speed blitzes and rips her soul out and feeds it to the King of Hell. Devils Seem to have a metaphysical “essence” that represents their soul or spiritual body, Makima being defeated by Denji just eating her makes me confident that this is a decent win con (but that’s partially made weird by how vague CSM is). And Pain with shared vision is def above V1 Raikage at the least, Naruto in the war outright states Sage mode has better combat speed than KCM1, and Pain is keeping up with Sage Naruto multiple times (his superiority to pain is greatly overstated, at best he blitzed 1-2 Paths before Pain adjusted and was fighting him). Kakashi couldn’t even tag Pain without resorting to tricks iirc like holding onto Tendos arm or having Choji & Choza physically restrain him.
I give it to Pain 8/10 times.
His durability ranges greatly but I agree. Anime pain has insane feats too which I didn't mention
@@catchdog Anime Pain is one of those instances where in in my heart it’s canon over the manga. Same with Orochimaru vs Hiruzen where Hiruzen lasts for longer than 5 panels before running out of stamina.
I think in Naruto when samurai attack Sasuke that they pool their chakra into their sword, and it glows blue. So we can assume that if Madara picked up a normal sword or even a toothpick it would be very strong. He still used a weapon in the end, a black magic dildo that can manipulate space I think.
Know little about Pain but it sounds like one of her more interesting matchups

Yo, dunno if you are gonna see this but I still think that the eternity and war devil are good arguments when you want to argue with hax in csm. As the eternities hax of just straight up freezing or being able to exist in frozen time wnd being infinite are just taken as something "normal" by himeno and aki, 2 seasoned devil hunters. And that war/asa even with really terrible control of their own abilities were able to overpower eternities abilities in the aquarium.
Heck, cosmos being able to put all the information in the universe is a good one as well.
It's contentious with me and can be argued but I think thats a potentially good angle to take when looking at things
Personally think that the hax in csm is on average WAY above anything ap or normal stats related.
The speed arguments are just too inconsistent imo but I do agree with the Hax. It really keeps this topic interesting
@@catchdog yeh generally with csm hax I go with more "literal" interpretations as it's shown or lore dumped that those things are just that busted, probably has to do the devils being literal conceptual entities rather than like representations.
Also adding onto that, I think cus of their state of being that they aren't really close to "spiritual" beings

two the statement of him being the strongest in the group is probably in relation to strength compared to itachi and obito, but they should be in the same tier of power.

In Part 2 it is also shown that Makima's control can extend beyond her death and also ignore/outweigh the effects or attempts made by other control/controllers. Like when Nayuta tried to control someone who is still under the influence of Makima's control

I feel like this kind of depends on the setting. If Pain is dropped in Japan, it’s not crazy to say he could just be killing everyone if he outstats Makima bad enough, thus making her damage null contract not that important. Japan is a small country and he isn’t going to run out of stamina like in the leaf village, because he isn’t trying to interrogate anyone nor having to fight all types of ninjas with superpowers lol. If Nagato doesn’t have to worry about damaging his main body either then he could probably just nuke the whole country and end this relatively quickly. I think he would probably win with the chakra rods in other scenarios. I think Makima’s best hope is sending Pain to hell. I think Pain takes this tho.
Pain wouldn't know that her contract operates by Japanese citizens dying though. He'd have to figure that out first and he has no lead for such a thing
To say that pain can just nuke Japan is a stretch, konaha isn't even a large town its actually *EXTREMELY* small

I think theres an easier way to get Pain to Light Speed (thought of this before I saw the Swag Noodles debate, but Swag might have popularized it)
Kakashi without the Raikiri could react to Itachi's Water Bullet jutsu which was stated to be light speed. Kakashi then gets way stronger by the time he gets to fighting Pain and even with the speed amp Raikiri gives (I'd argue Raikiri amped Kakashi could blitz himself in base, but thats just me) Pain still was managing to dodge Kakashi quite casually while also actively holding back. Then there's also the Asura Path blitzing Kakashi to save the Tendo Path
There's also a lot of stuff in the novels but yes! Light speed naruto is very very clear. Pain should 100% be FTL 🙏

Makima would take down Pein and 6 Paths with high-diff but at least thats a possibility. Since with Pain if he had the advantage he couldn't fully kill her anyway, without the knowledge of her contract immortality so it would probably end up being a stalemate then with Makima.

You are giving way too many benefits of the doubt to Makima. 1. She did not react to the bullet from the Gun Devil at all it headshot and killed her. 2. Makima was fought by and damages by bade Denji with a Chainsaw xd, who was also able to keep up with Makima somewhat in speed. So unless you argue that Makima for some reason was holding back on Denji when all she wanted was the Chainsaw Devil that means Makima is way slower than Quanxi. But I will say maybe that beam is of light, although it would be very inconsistent xd. 3. In terms of AP CM verse usually scales to the Large Town to Small City to even City level if we assume the Nuclear Devil had the power of a Nuclear Bomb...
So in reality Pain would body Makima so hard it won't even be funny. The only thing Makina has going for her is hax but that is not that much unless you think she will believe him to be weaker than her, or will have the time to make the Sacrificial ritual attack. Otherwise it is justba nuisance for Pain to have to kill her 160+ million times xd.
1. It literally stated that Makima reacted to Gun Devil bullets.
Makima chains are now on Aki and Angel lifeless bodies and her head shifted to the other side.
2. The manga stated that Makima was offguard once she had Pochita heart in her hand.
+ She couldn't smell and recognize Denji scent.
3. Makima blitzed Quanxi, ain't no way she's slower than Quanxi.
4. CSM verse now scales to Planetary lvl, due to Falling Devil feat of reversed Earth gravitational force just by being on Earth.
Also, it made many landslides and caveins all over Earth, which is above City lvl.
Makima and other high tier characters scales to Falling Devil.
Makima loses badly pain would seal her after seeing that she can keep regenerating he would just seal her or just throw her into the king of hells mouth . She can't control the summons as pain would just unsummon them can't control the paths either as he would just stop giving them chakra they and give their abilities to the tendo pain planetary scaling is just wrong as we don't even know the size of the landslides there's still more to debunk but I'm tired lol

In the case that she can control them as your comment implies, no it would be absolute and it wouldn't matter what pain did to them.
Makima has shown time and again that she can control corpses, literally look at tolka and the followers of csm and her fight with the gun with all the corpses she had, all that would happen is that they would continue to follow her orders even after a desummon, and if they were with pain/ nagato they would attack him.
Also while the landslide thing is a wierd case, that was the side effects of her using a corpse to work as a conduit for her power ( basically like a really worthless path of pain) while focusing mainly on denji and asa who she also didn't put any real effort into.
