Think leeds Will Stay Up?
As a Newcastle fan, I hope Leeds will stay up, especially with Big Sam in charge! HOWEVER, I hope we beat Leeds this weekend as we need to fight for top 4! Wish Big Sam all the very best though, top man he is!
I wish, but no. I think Forest & Everton are stronger. They also have a better last 3 fixtures. I'll be gutted after waiting 16 years for their return to the top flight. Bielsa's work has been undone by mugs at the top. Criminal really. I think most EPL teams like having Leeds back. They belong in the EPL. Just unbelievable how the club has been let down. Big Sam will not be responsible at all. He was brought in too late. Leeds v Newcastle. I remember them back in the seventies. Newcastle have turned it all around in one season. Congrats to them. I just wish that We'd had a similar takeover & a manager like Eddie Howe come in after Bielsa.

Was about to say same. Great that he's exposed what is a load of bollocks that Newcastle are any different to any other side. Ball in play may be right because the team play with so much intensity it helps to give players a few seconds to recover.

If we get 3 points. I'm thinking 40/50 percent chance that we might stay safe. I like his honesty. He might have made the difference if they'd brought him in in January. But he was given a fool's errand by leaving it so late. I'll never understand why Gracia was just left to repeat himself over and over against the very teams we should have been beating or getting points from. Wouldn't even play Gnonto? Kept Meslier in goal? Kept Aaronson playing? It was agony to watch because it all became too predictable & boring. Sad times at Leeds.

I agree (as a Leeds fan!). Leeds and Newcastle should be playing each other in the EPL every year. I was watching those games in the seventies. Gutted that all of Bielsa's good work has been trashed by the mugs up top. Can't even blame any of the managers that have been brought in. If you were a Leeds fan, you'd know just how ridiculous our situation is and why. It's been a complete farce. The big money spent on the wrong players & the weak managers brought in since Bielsa. It's almost as if they wanted Leeds to go down. Bizarre. Hope it's a classic game somehow on Saturday!
@@steelyman08 Leeds United are an iconic great English club with great traditions and fanbase to boot. Deserves top flight football. Very similar clubs and fans as Newcastle. It's a shame the way it's turning out for Leeds after so long out of the top flight these last 20 years. I can't believe how long it took for you's to come back. When you went down in the early 2000s I thought you'd bounce straight back. I'd never have thought it would pan out the way it did.
As a Newcastle fan I'm desperate for the 3 points to help us back into the UCL asap, but afterwards wishing nothing but the best for you as a club. I don't know enough about your ownership or people upstairs to make any comments on that. Just hope things work out for yous the way you want it to be.

@@steelyman08 you know what, I had a feeling pope was going to save it, then had a feeling we were going on to win, except that bit didn't come into fruition. I was confident at 2-1 but can't really do anything about Leeds equaliser with that crazy deflection. Just bad luck on our part. Not really sure what the point does for Leeds. They probably needed 3. Hopefully they get themselves clear. It's weird cos Leeds started the season in great form.
Newcastle need 2 wins from the last 3 to guarantee UCL. Assuming Liverpool get maximum points. Brighton and Leicester at home and Chelsea away. I'd like to think we could win the 2 home games and seal it before the last game against Chelsea, but Brighton will be tough and even Leicester probably end up being too. Just hope the lads get over the line. Longstaff being out has totally affected the balance of the team.
@@frankdux5693 It was a fair result in the end. Brighton are romping. Leicester & Chelsea really are wins on paper. Good luck. Every point counts & goal difference for Leeds. If Leicester get anything today, that will be really tough. Even one point is gold down at the bottom right now, but it'll take 2 wins for Leeds probably. Not impossible, but a big ask.
I think Leeds are already done for and the previous "escapes" from the bottom three will now come to an end. Quite simply, if you do not win games you can't expect any success.
