Great video as always. I would love to see some in wall speaker reviews. Due to my limited space the planned single garage conversion is the only pace to create a more dedicated cinema area. This means in wall speakers are a must to reduce clutter. In wall speakers reviews seem to be hard to come by from thorough reviewers like yourself. It would also give you more Klipsch speakers to review that you have not reviewed yet. Monitor Audio CP series were also ones I was thinking of for the room.
@@homeofVash We may at some point put together a review of the in-ceiling speakers we have but doing reviews of in walls or anything that requires construction is simply not realistic.
I think it is great that Klipsch had refined their new speakers. It is a fine line when you try to make a speaker more linear AND maintain the "house" sound. Some die hards may not like it, but then why are there companies like Bob Crites and ALK Engineering selling upgrades for Klipsch speakers? Paul Klipsch's dream was a two way Klipschorn, but he was limited by the technology available and had to make it a three way speaker.
I fell in love with the La Scala as a teenager so there will always be a soft spot in my heart for Klipsch. I have moved on to vintage Altec speakers. It can be a slightly more expensive habit.
Hi Andrew, just wanted to say thank for all the wonderful work you and Kristi do. I really enjoy the different perspectives each of you brings to the subject matter. You are truly the voice of reason in the world of audio reviews!
@@ULlisting So very kind of you to say. We appreciate it!
The 600m (first gen) are just amazing. They make me smile and happy every single time I listen to them. It's good that Klipsch released a new version, but I don't see myself upgrading any time soon. Thanks for the detailed video!
No need if you like what you have already! Thanks for watching!
Love mine too.. I’m just a simple average audiophile guy I’m using it with a 200 dollar Sony amp/media combo with a klipsh 120 sub still so happy when I listen to it.. also what is that speaker stand you’re using ? I’m intrigued and wana upgrade my current stands
I agree @MmaybeLaterr, but my system is the complete Bowers & Wilkins 600 (series 1 with the yellow kevlar midranges). Why would we want to spend thousands more on incremental improvements? Something Andrew has mentioned on several occasions and why I will always contibue watch his and Kristi's videos 👍
I just bought the Klipsch RP-160m on sale, basically the model before the 600m. And same! Absolutely smiling whenever i listen to them. Paired them with the BlueSound Powernode (80w x2)
I like the v1 better. They are more revealing. V2 is even more forward. Not a good upgrade even if you don't have any and they are the same price, in my subjective opinion
Andrew, I just wanted to say that I **LOVE** that you have brought Kristi into the conversation. She provides an important perspective and ALSO your back and forth with her, brings out more color on your perspective as well. Well done! Both of you!
Don’t know how you guys do it, but your reviews just keep getting better! Very much appreciate the amount of production quality you pack into a review.
I am a big Klipsch fan and have been toying with replacing our front channels on the home system. The 600 looks like a real contender
Thanks again for an awesome review
Thank you so much!!
Thank you. Always appreciate your no nonsense straight forward reviews. So helpful in deciding on what to pair with the Marantz 8015 I'm ordering soon.
Thanks for the review. Really enjoy your production and presentation. I hope you do a review of the new Klipsch RP-8000f II as those are the ones I'm looking at for an upgrade from my current system.
Respect for the overall high quality of this review. You’re reaching new levels.
I appreciate that!
This is great conversation between you two because it's so informative.
Totally excited to get these speakers. I already made up my mind to get the the 600 M, so now I can put my savings effort towards 600M II yay! Great review as always.
Great review as usual Andrew! I went from Polk to Klipsch (both towers) and was blown away. The soundstage and center imaging was incredible to the point where I kept checking my center channel to ensure it was off. LOL. For the money, I think the reference premier is best in class. If money was no object, Paradigm would be my choice but for now, still ballin’ on a budget.
You guys are awesome thanks for all the advice and questions you answer in these videos. I’m no audio geek but however during my career I’ve done some very high end theaters and home audio distribution. Now it’s my turn and I have to pick and chose what’s going to be in in my home. Let me tell you I like showing up at the shop and just picking up the stuff and installing instead of designing my own system. You have made it easy to figure out how to design and choose what I want. Hope this make sense
I too wish I could just pick up the gear and be alright, it's maddening sometimes so I feel you! Thank you so much for watching and I'm glad we've been able to help.
Bought the RP-600M a month ago. Enjoy them immensely, first new speaker purchase since my Athena AS-B1's 26 years ago(still really like those) but the Klipsch-RP600M can be heard clearly by my wife who wears hearing aids. As soon as she said that in the store, I was sold on the Klipsch. Great reviews, new subscriber but watching your content for over a year.
Hi Don, thank you so much for sharing and welcome! I'm so glad you found something that's working for you and your wife!
Such a good review of this Klipsch loudspeaker. Funny thing is, this review renewed my interest in the Revel loudspeakers you reviewed only a few days ago.
Outstanding review both the content and visuals!
I have the Cornwall IV’s and I agree with you that the midrange is recessed relative to the top and bottom. Maybe, as you suggest, that’s what people think of as the “Klipsch sound”, though to me, the thing that sonically differentiates Klipsch the most is their livelinesses at low volume. In this regard, they remind me of certain electrostatic speakers and are the opposite of typical planar magnetics and omnidirectional speakers; speakers that require lots of current and power to wake them up.
Klipsch’s sound signature is what I’ve been setting my EQs at for years for everything.
As always great review! thank you
I was thinking of buying RP-500M II for my new setup. Great to see these small upgrades that fixes some of the problems.
As a owner of the original 600M and 6000 F’s I have been so in love with the 600 M’s from day one and see’s daily use in my system. The only way they will be removed from my system is if Klispch makes a true Heritage bookshelf speaker. Removed but not gone…. Come on Andrew make it happen as well as the Heritage sub you so badly want. Great review. Happy Sunday. 👍🏾
Happy Sunday to you, sir!
Hey Andrew. I’m not really responding to this particular video. I love all of your videos. I watch them on my television, but I need to get my phone to respond to you like now. I think I’m just like you. I’ve been buying stereo equipment since I was 12 years old.Keep it up dude. You’re killing it.
Love the new review! Keep it up you two!!!
Thanks!
Great review from the both of you. I am new to the Klipsch family. So far so good! Still debating on getting the towers. Ever so slowly you guys are convincing me I may not need to.
I totally love at 6:10 how you faded in the cover. Cool video effect.
Thank you, Stephen.
Hopefully Klipsch will come out with a piano black version like the first 600M's ,,,, Forte IV's for the next upgrade for me
Hi Andrew I have just bought my 1st Klipsch speakers the R51m they had only been used for about 20 hours, mine for only £160 I am so pleased with them I now understand why Klipsch speakers are so well reviewed.
Crazy good review on this speaker. The review sold me and having the Polk r 200s already i think these updated Klipch 600m v2 will be a perfect fit.
Thank you!
I put my biases aside and bought the Heresy IVs off your review and it was the best thing I’ve done in the hobby. I’m a fan
So glad that review steered you to something you're enjoying!
Please review new klipsch rp8000 II
I have been looking at V1 as the perfect entry to try out the Klipsch sound. I think that Klipsch would be an amazing HT speaker with the level of dynamics everyone says they have. You make it sound worth the wait for V2. Great video as always you two. Thanks!
I don’t even need new speakers and I am watching this. Good content
Thank you! We really appreciate you watching even if it is just for fun.
Hi Sir thanks for the review, i was wondering between polk r200s and klipsch rp600m IIs, which one has more bass quantity?
Thank you, Andrew! I got the Sevens. Because you say so, love it, and replace my the Fives! They are so great with TV ARC feed and you don't wanna use a sound bar. Now I found 600M to replace my old Cornwall II.
🎶Whooaaaahhhh, heaven let your light shine down…” 🎵 Thanks for the review, man! Makes me wanna test out just a straight solid RP 5.1 setup…
Trying to decide between the Polk r100 and the Klipsch rp500m II for my home theater 5.1.2 setup. In your opinion, where is my money better spent?
Please review the 6000F II or 8000F II if you haven't. Are they almost mid-fi or would you still consider them entry level?
Thank you very much for the detailed review. You covered some points I was very interested in : off axis listening, performance with different musical genres, performance at lower volumes, etc. 👍
Great review guys. What center channel would you recommend with these new bookshelf speakers?
I listened to these at a local audio shop. Compared them to Dynaudio emit10, Focal Chorals, etc. I bought them for around $450. I think at $450 I am pretty happy. I know there is better, but under $500 was a MUST for me. I have seen other reviewers totally trash them! $/performance is important to me. Nice review, it made me feel better about my purchase and my ears. Thanks again!
$500 would be great, as I keep seeing them for $750 in Nov 2022
@@somestuffithoughtyoumightl6985 They were on sale at various places including Crutchfield, probably still are.
@@whocares0503 You are talking about the RP 600Ms, not the V2, I'm sure.
@@georgerosenfeld Don't know too much pricing now but as if this reply, Mercari has then with shipping around $450. Klipsch always has sales too, it's about timing as we both know.
Favorite audio review channel!
Thank you so much!
So kind of you to say. We appreciate you joining us, Temujin!

Excellent review Andrew !!!
Thank you kindly!
Great review guys! I agree you on the finish. Step it up a little Klipsch!!
Will you be reviewing the rp8000f 2's?
Excellent review Andrew. May I ask what speaker stands those are? Really like them. They make those monitors and others you've reviewed look more upscale :)
Hi Timobi_1, Thanks for tuning in! You'll find that information in the description box just below the video's title.
@@robinsonbrand thank you! Found it 😎
Another awesome video from you know who, certainly got my attention 🙏🏻🙏🏻
With a sensitivity at 96 db on a bookshelf speaker and the sound these provide these are amazing and Klipsch continues to impress.
Andrew and Kristi, I've yet to go wrong on one of your recommendations. I got the Heco Aurora 1000 based on your recommendation of the 700. Great sound but unfortunately after a few months the aesthetics of a white speaker got to me. I then read your oh so comprehensive review of the new Klipsch RP600M ii. It is everything you said it was. I was not expecting the huge, accurate sound that comes out of those small boxes. They put me in the recording venue. The aesthetics also could not be a better fit for my room. Keep up the excellent work. Your exchanges at the end of videos are brilliant. They are the role model for how to respectfully discuss differences of opinion. Were you aware you are teaching good communication skills?
this is a damn good looking speaker!
Sounds good! (No pun intended...) I absolutely love Klipsch! My beloved Heresy 4's are still a blast and my favorite speakers, so far. I'm really familiar with the original 600m's, as I have a pair in my bedroom, I and am anxious to hear the difference with the new ones. Thanks for another great video, Andrew!
Interesting. As always, you provide food for thought in your reviews.
I still think I’m going to end up with La Scalas as my endgame speaker some day. That or some Wilson’s, but probably some La Scalas married to a McIntosh, twin Decwares, Luxman or Accuphase. I’ve just got a feeling. But it’s nice to see the rest of the brand evolve.
Would like to see these in a Light Oak cabinet.
Hy Andrew. Once again thanks for a good job buddy. I've changed my speakers 2 times since i started to watch your reviews, hahaha! My pockets are getting empty now, not a complaint. Thanks to you i found what suits my listening room finally and i can't wait to see you reviewing whats so called "The Future Of HIFI" KEF LS60 Wireless...
So you made mention of Alexis French and I have not been able to stop listening to him since. I don't remember which video it was, but THANK YOU for bringing this amazing artist into my repertoire!
What would be a good amp to pair with the 600m?
I have the 600M II and Heresy 1 - and while I like the 600M II, for loud orchestral music (like Respighi Pines of Rome or Mahler, etc.) I like the tonal balance of the Heresy much better. Given they're quite different speakers in design and age overall I still have a strong preference for the Klipsch Heritage series. I sit within large orchestra brass sections playing the kind of music mentioned previously and I haven't heard any other speaker - including the supposedly "smooth and linear" speakers that another commenter prefers and who claims Klipsch is for party/home theater - that comes close to being able to reproduce what an actual brass section sounds like.
I have long wanted to hear the latest Cornwalls.
Great review Andrew! Thank you! I have paired them with an Emotiva sub, Cambridge Audio CXA61 amp and they sound phenomenal.
You guys are a pleasure to listen to :)
So, previous to this one I watched your recent review of the new Martin Logan XT speakers ... and let's say your fondness of them got me thinking.
Would you be able to very briefly describe how the 600M II compare to XT's, more specifically the bookshelf model (and/or the FT100) ?
Thanks !
Maybe you should trial the RP-500M ii with the RP-600M ii with same technology. Some reviewers feel the 500 is a better balanced speaker, but I want your opinion.
Rp 500 m is just the right size for bookshelf, like it.
Happy Sunday @andrew robinson and @kristi wright. I love the Klipsch sound. Hope these new ones don’t change that sound too much.
Think refinement rather than outright change, but they're definitely different.
I was going to buy some more RP-600Ms for my rears, but this makes it simple. Buy the Mk2s and put the Mk1s in the rear!
Great idea!
You two are just the best! Appreciate what you do. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
thanks so much!!!
Having come to my present system by way of owning the Klipsch 600Ms v1 I thoroughly enjoyed this review. I'm not surprised that Klipsch tweaked the crossover a bit. I love the v1's though. It is pretty cool that we are living in times of this level of advancement at this price point.
We're in a new "golden age" of hifi IMHO. We just wrapped up an evaluation of a speaker that (for me) makes me wonder why anyone would spend more --unless of course you simply wanted or needed a different type of speaker, or maybe one with a different look. That review is coming, but yeah, I hear you, things have gotten really good.
Ok, first time commenter…
600m ll with sub or 8000f ll.
Mostly for 2 channel listening but would enjoy the options of home theater listening.
Thanks in advance.
Love the channel!!!!
Hello, I also ask this question. Did you make a decision or still researching?
600m II with sub! The sub is essential for home theater since the LFE channel is separate in movies but even music will benefit from the lower bass extension from a sub.
@@drew6317 thank you!!!
@@gambino883 have not purchased anything yet…👍
Just curious. How did you find the Klipsch RP-600M when compared to the Wharfedale Evo 4.1? What one did you feel was most neutral, while still keeping detail and clariity?
I changed from wharfedale evo 4.3 to klipsch rp600m II.
Of course less Bass as wharfedale but much more precise and "dry". The highs are more louder and detailed. The stage is deeper and wider.
Im a big Fan from Now of klipsch. Im really surprised by these.
By they way a like tube amps anyway. And it fits perfect with my cayin mt12..
Love the review and I would love good red finish for those speakers thank you
Great review! I’d be excited to pick some up and check them out vs the mk1’s. I picked up a used pair of RP-600m’s awhile back for super cheap and wrapped them in carbon fiber look vinyl for fun (which was very easy to do) so if people do want a different look, it’s a fun little project.
That sounds pretty cool sir, what did you wrap them with.because I have all klipsch 2-620 towers 1-34c center 4-r51m surrounds and 4- 41SA atmos,I think I’ll have to wrap them
Maybe this statement will define me as not a true audiophile and that’s okay, but I love my Klipsch Fortes and my RB-61 ii’s so much. Playing records on my Rega Planar 6 through my NAD c388 and hearing them on Klipsch speakers makes me very happy!!
That is all that matters!
The Rega P6 is a really good analog source so I'm sure it sounds great through the Forte's.
I have the RB81 ii. Love them . Keepers. 8 inch woofers.
Great review. Are you planning to review the new RP-8000F II as well?
Hope to!
Just love kliplch Andrew Kristi always a pleasure 🙏....
So good to see you here. Thanks for joining us.
The editing to add the grills is really smooth
Thank you for recognizing Andrew's editor skills. He goes above and beyond in so many ways!
I think it’s funny how people talk about sound lol. I’m sure they hear the subtle differences and that’s good for them. You can connect this new version, the older version of these speakers and I’m sure they would sound the exact same to me lol 🤷♂️
It sounds like the new 600M II has had some internal upgrades? I have to wonder, that other channel that talks about cheesy cross-overs, I wonder if the manufacturers are now listening?
I don't trust that reviewer personally their cross overs are cheap but that guy is talking about changing the sound of klipsch completely and also killing its sensitivity rating making it harder to drive that being said klipsch midrange has always lacked
@@bumkrilla5339 For the money Klipsch charges, they could use much better internal parts. Most manufacturers could, but like the automotive companies, it is not about quality, it is about the bottom line.
@@michaelwright1602 My local hifi shop has the KLH model 5, they had one apart to show internals, nice BUT they may pay $250 to build a pair but sell them for $2500...
The markup on hifi is very high
He's not Voldemort, you can say his name lol. Danny Richie is in it for the money as much as anyone else. Given that he sells crossover upgrades, it's in his personal interest to find fault with other manufacturers' designs.
His upgrade made my Klipsch rp-8000f sound way better. Found his video while googling cymbals sound muted around cymbals region on klipsch rp8000f.
Thanks a lot for this review. After watching this I am using the RP-600M-II for half a year now with an A-S3200 and the small RP-1000SW. Perfect combination for my listening room I must say.
Excellent review!
Thank you kindly!
The original is a great budget speaker I like it best listening at night down low sometimes I enjoy it so much I get no sleep at all.
Don’t let complaints like crossover stop you from owning these for a few hundred if you want speakers that the crossover cost 300 for each speaker then spend the money for those but nothing can rip on these speakers at this price point I can enjoy these for a lifetime and let someone else pay the audiophile premium tax if you know what I mean.
Would the RP-600mii be better than my old klipsch KF-28? I’ve been thinking of upgrading. Love your reviews!!!
First, thank you so much for watching and supporting the channel. Do I think the 600s would outperform your 28s? I can't say for certain (I haven't heard them) but I will say this - knowing that your speaker was specifically designed to be sold exclusively at BestBuy tells me that there is a high probability that the construction and materials were likely chosen to maximize BB's profit. I think you are going to hear a potentially less forward and/or aggressive sound with probably similar bass extension from the new 600s. I can definitely say the speaker's physical appearance will be an improvement. I hope that helps.
Thank you!
There's nothing like the sound of a new speakers especially a good ones.
Thanks! Can you please review the Klipsch RF-7 III? Great job on all your reviews.
Appreciate your support. As soon as Klipsch releases a IV version we'll review it.
Great descriptive, informative review Andrew. Watched this and just went out and bought a pair - your analysis was confirmed on all counts. Very happy. BTW, anyone ever mention that you're a dead ringer for a young Kevin Spacey?
I'm considering a Klipsch speaker for the first time EVER, it's SO MUCH better.
Your home aesthetic is outstanding. Well done!
Thank you so much!

great review im a huge klipsch fan and I know I need to venture out but I love the brand and have been looking at these for living room. also was wondering where the cool speaker stands came from? I would like to find some.
I have Klipsch in my home theater and a dedicated listening room. I had not planned it that way, but when I auditioned them, I thought they sounded great. I enjoy my Vandersteens at the office as well.
i wonder if Krisi disliked the V1's cause of the hardware used with them vs in this scenario? She made it seem like there's a huge difference...
Notes:
After all the hype, I got the original RP600m. The lack of refinement and midrange drop out stood out. Lack of around 2K detail and presence. Crude really. I sold mine.
The new v2 of the 600M has addressed many of those issues for what it's worth.
@@robinsonbrand It was an issue. When I got mine, a few of the over-the-top reviewers didn't seem to be listening closely enough. I have considered the MII.
Thanks for the great review! How would these compare to the Dali Opticon 2 MK2?
Always a good day when my fave hifi couple releases vids! ❤️ Love u Andrew and Kristi keep it up! 😊
Thank you so much!
Thank you, Andreas!!
@@robinsonbrand i wanted to ask you guys, i recently sold my Monitor Audio Rs8 and Rs8 Floorstanders, i was thinking of purchasing the Magnat Transpuls 1500, Monitor Audio Silver 500 6G or th Wharfedale Lintons, im very confused honestly coz i like the look of the Transpuls but im considering all options round that price, what would you guys keep? 🤔
@@sabbathAndy To my knowledge (at least in the US) you can't get the Transpuls anymore and I have no idea when stock might get replenished. So between the Wharfedale and Monitor Audio Towers, the MA look better (to me) but the Lintons just like damn near everything in terms of source material. Just make sure you can pull either out from the wall so as not to load up bass too much.
@@robinsonbrand im located in Cyprus Europe, its the same price 1250 euros for the Transpuls and the Lintons, but the M.A i found a local deal at 1800 with a Marantz Sr7012 which will get me into Atmos finally. I also like the look of the Monitors in gloss black ❤️
Thanks! So after two videos showcasing the SolidSteel stands I’m curious. Did you fill them? If so with what, and how full?
We have never filled them anything. Thank you so much for supporting the channel, Tim!! Andrew and I appreciate it very much.
Thank you, Tim! I don't believe they are fillable. If you are looking for a solid (pun intended) alternative that you can fill, give these a look: bit.ly/3lqYtny
@@robinsonbrand The company and the distributor (MoFi) both say they can be filled through the hole that the spikes screw into, and they both recommend it. And they just look SOOOO much cooler than standard ones like the Kanto.
@@timlmd They are more interesting design but they are nearly impossible to get in stock.
Many will scratch their heads at using stands nearly as expensive as the speakers. In Andrew's and Kristi's defense, the SolidSteel stands allow them to better assess bookshelf speakers.
Wow, fun Report Brother!
Now I know what you meant a few days ago about waiting till Sunday when comparing to Revel M16. 😀
You really make excited about checking out this speaker for my theater needs. I've never owned a Klipsch speaker.
Loved your comments about placement and tolerant to theater 2nd row elevated seating (really only 7").
Can't wait to see the new center channel (600C II ?).
I didn't see anything about power capability. I'm considering feeding them with a Integra 3.4 (can't find the Onkyo TX-RZ50) but using a PowerAmp by Emotiva BasX A3 ... do you think they would match well?
Cheers,
Eric
Thank you so much, Eric Kessler! Not sure if we'll get the new center or not but if we do, it will included in future reviews of the new RP line.
@@robinsonbrand
I'm considering feeding them with a Integra 3.4 (can't find the Onkyo TX-RZ50) but using your PowerAmp by Emotiva BasX A3 (or big brother, XPA-3, if funds appear) ... do you think they would make a best match? 🤔
Cheers,
Eric
In my opinion, these do not need the XPA-3. I think you would be more than fine with the A3. I would recommend that you try them with the Integra first before spending even a little bit more money on the BasX - nothing against it - you may be happy enough without it.
@@robinsonbrand Brother, that sounds like a plan. I love saving funds.
Our retirement home theater (part-time party room) will be about 19x19, so over 3000 Ft³. So maybe a pair of Subs (I like your SVS 3000 Mini's, if on sale haha).
Cheers,
Eric
@@robinsonbrand Oops, I forgot to mention the initial need for the Power Amp was that the room will be a 7.2.4. So, since the Integra needed a PowerAmp, I thought the BasX A3 with power for Center Channel would sound better, give me the needed 2 channels, and save the Integra power for all the surrounds and 4 Atmos ceiling Speakers. 🤔 I guess... if I'm getting this right.
Cheers,
Eric
Excellent video... Great information... I just ordered these speakers.... I can't wait to get them in and plug them in. Also, what speaker stands did you use in the video?
Hi Richard, Thanks for tuning in! You'll find that information in the description box just below the video's title.
I recently just paired the original rp600m with the Vista spark and found the spark refines the klipsch quite well - slightly taming the highs and filling out the famously scooped mids
What would you match with the RP-504C?
I have the RP-504C and am looking to replace the R-28F left and right channels. I was going to go for the RP-8000F tower, but I have two SVS subs and because of your review I am now considering RP-600M or RP-600M II instead. Would I be better off to get the RP-600M for better Timbre match? If I have budget is it worth still going for the tower?
would also like to know
@@mikecajina2784 I ended up buying the Rp-8000f and am quite happy with that setup. Wish I could have heard it with Rp-600m to see if I’d be equally as happy, but want able to do that. Even with Rp-8000f, I set a crossover of 100hz on my amp. Might even bump it to 120hz
@@tstfam thanks for the reply. Are you running 3.2 or 5.2? Trying to also decide on either 8000 or 600 m2 and the best side surrounds for either pair. Thinking of doing 8000, 404c, and 502s.
@@mikecajina2784 I'm running 5.2.4. I'm running RP-8000f for L/R, RP-504C for center, RP-500m for surrounds. My Atmos ceiling speakers are my old r-15m. I think it sounds pretty awesome. I got a steal on the RP-8000f and RP-500m speakers since they are now the outgoing product, but they still sound really good IMO.
I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can make 7.2.4 work with my room layout, so I have two more rp-500m sitting in a box waiting for me to get a receiver that supports 11 channel.
I bought the 600 m 5 days ago knowing absolutely nothing of reviews or opinions. I installed them to a 2 channel receiver that puts out 100 watts per channel. I listened to my new Denon turntable, cds and Blu-ray music, I listened to bluetooth music. I was just totally thrilled. For example I listened to “tempted” by Squeeze, and it was shaking my sternum and I heard little percussion things that I never remembered hearing before and I was in heaven. Then I got on you tube and these guys with graphs and sh!t told me that objectively the 600 m speakers are horrible and you are not hearing a huge chunk of the music from the source. They proved to me that my extreme level of joy and satisfaction is not really happening at all. Says so right there on paper that I am not enjoying it and I am not hearing what I am hearing. That soon I will develop listening fatigue. So even though I love love the sound, I know it’s not a good sound at all so I tore them out of the receiver and just chucked them out into the street. I can’t believe how full of crap some of these guys are with their graphs and their snotty little pot belly attitudes. I am so glad I didn’t watch the bad reviews before purchasing. I probably would have spent 3 times as much and hated myself for that. Graphs be darned I love the way they sound.
Your anger feels a little misplaced here. We like this speaker and say as much in the review, graphs and all. As I always say, the only person who has to like the sound of your system is you.
This is such a weird reply. It’s almost like you didn’t watch the review at all. Besides who cares what someone on the internet says.. ah well..
Klipsch die hard fan till the die I die. Having these speakers in the box can’t wait to get them out and hook them up.
Great review. I do like these speakers alot, but I much prefer tower speakers. I watched your review on the Klipsch RF-8000F & I'm fairly sure I'll be purchasing a pair of these this weekend. In your opinion, what amp would you use with them? The main reason I'm going for them is the low bass response which is my preference when listening to music. I'm a new sub, so keep up the great reviews.
This is the only place in the world where "we need to talk" is a good thing.
hahaha
HAHAHAHA. Thank you for watching!
I've never been so anxious to hear what Kristi thinks....and what she said has sold me on these guys. If Kristi likes them, they must be good.
I have Klipsch RP400M's for my home cinema system, with Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-402S for surrounds, and a Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-500C for the center channel. And, of course, a nice big 10" Klipsch subwoofer to round out the system. They are fantastic, and the reason why I like them, is what Andrew said: the off-axis sound is impressive. Not everyone can sit in the "sweet spot" when watching TV's or movies, so having a nice WIDE sweet spot is a must, and the Klipsch really deliver in that regard.
Most importantly, the speed and power of their woofers is just incredible, even on the originals models. Best combo home theater/music speakers on planet earth, bar none.
The only brand I would go to as an upgrade to Klispch: Martin Logan.
Thank you so much for watching until the end!
Andrew and Kristi, thanks for you guys review as always! Question: What are your thoughts on this when coming to vinyl playback? I am currently using Mark 1's in my sitting (record room, ie: no phones!) and they do well.
Great review! Going to upgrade my R-51m's for these bad boys.
My Heresy IVs ROCK! My advice to Klipsch, take a lesson from Harley-Davidson! They attempted for the last decade to pursue the non-Harley rider and failed, nearly bankrupting the brand. A new CEO who realized they needed to pursue their core customer was hired and now they are selling motorcycles again at a profit. They are focused on pleasing their customer rather than converting others. Do what you do to the best of your ability.
Klipsch needs to make a decent center channel and get away from the MTM config. Their off axis response is way too narrow at +/-10 degree. I have the 440c I sit about 15 degrees from center and it sounds fine until I bend my head in and I'm hearing nuances that disappear just be moving 5 or so degrees away. Klipsch should make a 3 way for the RP line with a W T/M W topology. Their bookshelves/towers, Atmos and bipoles are perfectly good otherwise with some EQ to taper down those hot tweeters a bit.
The first gen were always my favorite for my weird-shaped listening space. Might have to give these a chance when the deals come around.
