In this video there are 3 episodes with just Larry, Darryl, and Darryl clips in order of appearance.
I just love the show Newhart. I just wanted to post the 3 brothers bits that always made me crack up during the show. Even making these videos I found myself laughing at these clips. I'm trying to keep the videos between 15 to 20 minutes long. Some clips might be edited a little. Timestamps mark where each episode is located.

Back in the day when this was on TV, I wore a black knit cap like Larry, and my brothers would tag along with me to friends or the store.. And I would pull off the hat and introduce myself as Larry and my brothers as Daryl and Daryl. It never got old saying that and seeing my very quiet brothers stare at the ground in full Daryl method acting.
We got a lot of laughs.
Every show Newhart made was gold. These characters were amazing and George...he was so funny. Comedians just aren't as clever anymore, old school was the best. I miss these shows sooo much.
One of the funniest shows on TV, Bob Newhart and his deadpan timing was perfect. Larry, Darryl and Darryl so funny!
This show had the BEST final episode in the history of syndicated television. Pure genius!

Vheers was better as a lot of pepple who watched this didnt underdtand the reference until someone who did explained.

Larry, Daryl and Daryl were supposed to be a one-time gag with the digging up the witch thing. The viewing audience (me included) loved them, so they stayed til the end.
I remember everyone use to quote they're greeting, and some still do
Jeff Powell still quote this show and it was especially funny growing up with a family member named Larry. He wasn’t as amused 😂
To be honest. I wished it would have stayed a one-time gag. In my opinion it would have been better. After a while it just got repetitive and annoying. I almost stopped watching the series because of them. But I loved Bob Newhart.
Larry once said "Miss Stephanie. I'd eat Bees for you"

I love those guys. In fact, we named the two stacking robots at work Daryl and Daryl. They constantly reek lots of havoc.
Recall when this first aired. The whole neighborhood must have had this episode on (all of us being fans of Newhart's original TV series). How do I know? Because a laugh went up from the block the second that Larry introduced his second sibling. Brilliant idea from the show's writers. And of course the usual trademark almost-poker-faced Newhart reaction.

The final episode of this series was THE. BEST. EVER.
I always looked forward to their appearances.
My husband and his brothers would do this gag when they had the chance. There was an extra Darrel plus their real Uncle Darrel.
I loved this show, but I had forgotten about those guys. They really added another facet of humor to the show. Funny thing is...I knew actual people sort of like them in my younger days - not a pot to piss in, but would do anything for you.
The timing is impeccable.

Larry had a wonderful, off-kilter delivery. On paper his lines wouldn't be funny, but he always gave them an added twist with his expression, or tone, or both.
you should watch some of his scenes from Deadwood if you aren't familiar with those.

The show would've been so much different without them. They added something very special to it.

I met John Voldstad (the blonde Darryl) of the Bob Newhart's Vermont Inn show. He was visiting Minneapolis, MN in the Uptown area at a popular nightclub called Figlios. I recognized him right away and went over to talk to him. He was by himself nursing a drink. I asked him about "Larry" (who is William Sanderson--who has done theater work in Minneapolis before) and Bob Newhart and how long the show will last. This was about 1985 when I met him. I asked what brought him to Mpls--and he said William told him to come visit and that he loved his time in the city! These guys were on the show from 1982-1990. BTW I have met and chatted with other celebrities because I wasn't afraid to go up and talk to them, but only if they were alone and not in a group. I will not interrupt a conversation going on.
That my friend is the correct way to do it with class. It will be truly appreciated.

I used to work with a guy named Darryl. He and his wife had some young friends, each named Jason. They had a gag, " Hi, I'm Darryl, and this is my kid Jason and my other kid Jason."

Loved it! I have been sort of dumbed down by the world lately! I had almost forgotten about having a true laugh minus vulgarity. (shame on me).

I remember an episode where Larry and his brothers were helping out bussing tables in the diner .They were cleaning drinking straws to reuse by spitting through them. "All we could find was a carrot , Darrel ate that."

I had forgotten about this show and how funny it was. I think my favorite was George though. I remember one clip where he is in the kitchen. He flips a switch and looks up as the garbage disposal turns on. He then flips the other switch and looks down as the light turns on. So he rewires them. Anyone remember that game he invented where you just go around the board collecting points? -- Now I need to see if this is streaming anywhere. Great show!
There is full episodes of Newhart on Dailymotion, and Georges game was called Handyman. There's a clip of it in part 24, from the show.

One of the funniest shows ever.
To this day I remember the episode in which Darryl went missing. Two scenes in that episode started like this:
"Hi, I'm Larry, [pause] and this is my other brother Darryl."
Later, "Hi, I'm Larry, (holds out newspaper) we think this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl."
Dick: "You mean, the man dancing with the First Lady?"
Larry: "Yep."
Dick: "I don't think that's him."
Larry: "Why not?"
Dick: "Ca.. call it instinct."
I still use "Ca... call it instinct" regularly.

George ended up on Tim Allens Home improvement show as his neighbor next door where the fence blocked most of his face.
nahh george was played by tom poston, tims neighbour was earl hindman, 2 different people but both good actors

Ya. All the comedies this day and age are really dirty or flat out ignorant. Not funny at all. I used to very much enjoy comedy, I don’t watch ANY comedy now. Just way way too stupid to be anything near funny.

Try some really funny English or Aussie comedies.
Funny at first & I loved them. But writers pushed the L, D & D gag WAY too far. It stopped being funny & started being... well... gross. It proved that little bit of L D & D goes a very, VERRRRRY long way.
You obviously don't understand recurring characters and situation comedy.
Personally I believe they were under used even though they usually didn't provide much to the story line.

The actor playing the middle Darryl was good-looking but totally wasted.
That's the way of all TV writing. Find something that works and beat it to death.
It was funny at first. But after awhile it got just stupid and annoying. While the audience was applauding and laughing every time they came in I was just going like "Oh no! Not again!"
