    Also when dealing with the Japanese bikes, get some JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) screw drivers. Those are slightly different that the standard Phillips heads. That is why so many of the Japanese bikes have their JIS screw heads stripped out by people trying to use standard #2 phillips drivers. You can identify JIS screws as they will often use a small dimple on the head of the screw

    On my '16 350SXF I had the Antigravity Restart battery and had nothing but bad luck! I failed 3 of them in 2 years with normal use.

    Another option to pull seal is drill a small hole and then thread a drywall screw in.

    Great repair review. BTW the Fantic 300 is a YZ 250 with a 300 kit, e'start, hydraulic clutch, e power valve, KYB suspension, apparently, they are getting the bikes under licence from Yamaha and converting them over to something weve all been wishing for... If it true...I want one !!

    My new to me 21 gasgas came with a restart battery in it, I put a few hours on it before my first race with it and during the race I stalled the bike and lost all power to it, sat there trail side for about 10 minutes and all of a sudden my fan came back on out of nowhere, walked over to the bike and it fired right up perfect. I traded out battery’s with a shorai when I got home and never had another problem out of it again.

    Excellent video mate, I have a 2023 Beta 300rr with 20hrs on it, the bloody thing is leaking from the crank seals found gear box oil and dampness from the fuel on the stator side. Have to wait until the new year for my dealer to do the warranty work. My riding holiday out the door 😢

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Před 7 měsíci

      Damn. I am worried about stuff like that.

      @@highlandcycles good luck with the new race edition brother you should be ok 🤞. They reckon it's a small percentage of bikes that this happens to. I think mine had the problem from the beginning because I was forever chasing jetting and never thought that the crank seals were bad until last night I decided to pull the stator cover off.

      @@juliansimon5243 thanks man. It’s these little issues that I hear a lot about that worry me. I know beta does a great job of taking care of people but I don’t want a problem

    Hmm interesting...I've had problems with 2 different restart anti gravity batteries also...1st one just really slow cranking..charged up and seemed ok ..sold bike soon after...the 2nd one maybe 1 year of use different bike it totally crapped out ..wouldn't hold charge..expensive paper weight 😢

    Great slog Morgan, I still am surprised by the number of bikes that get on the lift and have no oil or very little on the air filter.

    Is the kx85 and the kx112 basically the same motor except for the top in?
    Like, can you turn the 85 motor in to a 112?

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Před 7 měsíci +2

      I know you could do 85 - 100 with just top end. 112 might require a crank too.

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Před 7 měsíci

      Hahaha. I don’t have a great way to mount the camera up close for that. And it’s drilling a hole. How hard is that?? I can’t imagine needing to see that up close. And I really have a hard time reading your words. Horrible grammar.
