MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - Today we’re going on an ultimate food tour in Melbourne to eat some of the tastiest and most iconic foods and to show the diversity of cultures and foods that are represented. It’s going to be a delicious food day and you’re not going to want to miss any of it!
Thank you to all my friends in the video:

Here are all the restaurants we visited on this Melbourne food tour:
1. Hector's Deli (goo.gl/maps/8tacVthQndc8eSwu6) - Toasty sandwiches are extremely popular in Melbourne and Hector’s Deli serves some of the best!
2. Pipi's Kiosk (goo.gl/maps/B57r5KatBfnkwjrz9) - Located right along the beach Pipi's Kiosk is known for their boat to table, Chef driven seafood.
3. Ca Com Bánh Mì Bar (goo.gl/maps/SzsYcX1fe4gjs1cE6) - At this small Vietnamese banh mi bar they make everything fresh in house and everything is cooked over fire.
4. Arbory Afloat (goo.gl/maps/LB9KRMKDzr57d7o88_ - In mid Afternoon we visited one of the most popular bars and the biggest floating restaurant in Melbourne. Drink and pizza are some of the best in the city with a lively atmosphere.
5. Pidapipó Carlton (goo.gl/maps/MPGiYihVeMGima5B7) - In the evening we stopped to have some of the best gelato in Melbourne.
6. Supernormal (goo.gl/maps/p16xRDoTTsUawMrX6) - Chef Andrew McConnell is one of the most well known chefs from Melbourne and we had a great meal at Supernormal, a Asian inspired restaurant.
7. Komur (goo.gl/maps/6TRdE3Mw3bmSFDVT8) - Finally, I can say Komur was one of the best meals and best restaurants I ate at in Melbourne. Emir Uker comes from a lineage of kebab makers and his Turkish food will impress you, outstanding!

Here in NYC, Aussies are known for running some of the best casual restaurants/diners. They know how to make high quality food.
the local hospitality courses are pretty thorough here
They must have been from Melbourne or Sydney. All the other states just eat ham cheese sandwiches… on a special day they’ll toast it 😂
@@grumpyae86 Ham an cheese toasties yeah. The best!
@@grumpyae86 lol!! My thoughts exactly lol.
$16 a sandwich? I better have colonel's bucket
How blessed are we as Australians to have Mark come down under to taste our cuisine & produce. Mark is a very influential utuber & has helped promote mums & dads businesses; so to speak. This will help with tourism with foreiners also.
Blessed? The bloke just says Wow to everything. Not sure how that is blessed, half the places don’t serve food like it’s showed in this video.
@@chrisl4478 L
@@brycebenn4301 wowwww omg wowwwwww it tastes to wowwww
Blessed? to be visited by a CZcamsr? what? Are people really that shallow nowadays?
haha Mark Wiens blesses Australia with his presence 😂
What I love about Mark and his channel is that sometimes these people can have bad attitudes (for whatever reason) and he refuses not to shine like the sun. I love this guy.
What people had bad attitudes?
As a Melbournian, I’m amazed at how many eateries I’ve never heard of before! Thanks for opening my eyes Mark.
Same! I am taking notes! Desperate to get the Napier Street pub for that huge hamburger from the other video!
most Aussies live under a rock when it comes to looking for good quality food here
He has that affect 😆
@@IamMotionMedia some but honestly I think because there is no more zomato mark didn’t really have a good guide. Most of these places are just over priced hipster places. Real banhmi from Footscray and Springvale.
@@drunkntigr i agree though I concede Ca Com was delicious when I visited, traditional banh mi or not. I somewhat speculate that he has been advised by thai chefs or friends working/living in Australia not necessarily those who are well versed in the best places to eat in Aus of present. Or dare I say maybe even such venues/people using his status as one food’s biggest influencers to bolster their presence/relevance through either complimentary invites or even monetary payment (he is not very transparent on this).
I consider myself well educated on great places to eat in most of Australia. loosely following the the Australian Good Food Guide (i have strong opinions on the AGFG as well) and more so other respectable foodies who’s opinions I trust.
I myself wouldnt even put the majority of these places as a must visit if i were to travel to melbourne. Sadly I think he has done Australia a bit of an injustice. But then again as an uninformed tourist youre probably searching for something unique and distinct to Australia. Which as a penal colony without a distinctly unique and identifiable cuisine is virtually nonexistent. To myself and many ordinary Australians what does seem exist is very mundane to say the least.
Actually showing all the stuff that I didn't even know existed from home...never ceased to be amazed by your content!
Wasnt in Melbourne, but stayed in Sydney's northern beaches in 2021. Aussies know to make great food at every price point.
UP THE BEACHES! honestly one of the best places on earth, I'm super lucky to call it home. However I must say, the inner west in Sydney has WAYYYYY better food.
Mark! I was chatting to Emir yesterday and Komur has gone from essentially walk-ins to taking bookings two weeks in advance in just DAYS. Thank you for putting Melbourne on the map for so many overseas! My only request is that next time, you give me a week instead of a day so I can take you to Springvale, Footscray, Dandenong, Box Hill and beyond, too ;) Sofia x
And a trip to the footy for a cold pie and a beer in a plastic cup 😉
A Springvale visit would of been a nice edition,
Box hill is fantastic. Hills BBQ all the way!
What about the Wineries and Restaurants of the Yarra Valley
Mark is a great guy but he's hardly put Melbourne on the map , Melbourne is great before and after Mark Wiens , 8 bill ppl on the planet , he has 10 mill subscribers .
I love that you went to all the cool local places in Melbourne. Most of the other CZcamsrs I see who come to Melbourne go to all the same touristy places, not the places we locals would go to. Well done, I really enjoyed watching the Melbourne trip, you showed what the food scene in Melbourne is really like.
Can't believe you have finally come to Melbourne Mark! Have been watching your videos for years now and I just moved to Melbourne earlier this year and were craving for some good food around. Great video! Definitely will check those places out
Thank you very much Jacky!
You've travelled all over the world Mark, experienced all kinds of amazing, diverse and unique foods. Yet you show that something as simple as a toasted sandwich can be just as enjoyable as all the other foods you've eaten.
Thank you very much Kevin!
@@MarkWiens Never stop putting out the amazing content Mark!

I'm a very messy eater and I feel so comforted when I see Mark eating!
I feel nauseous!
@@SusanMadge-vl9gxYeah, it's like watching a toddler eat. Especially when he's sharing the food with a group.
Australia is such a beautiful country. Definitely on my list to visit.
It’s a great place to live! You will love it
I just love Australia 🇦🇺 ♥️
You did Melbourne justice !!! Thanks for showing how great Melbourne food culture is !
So weird watching because of the familiarity of the places he visited. Unlike most countries he’s been too, I have never been so it doesn’t hit as hard.
Majority of these places I either frequent on day/night outs or have visited after footy matches for late night feeds.
But it is incredible how the great man has finally made it on Aussie shores.
The pie eating was awful though 😂
@@rogerigez21 Be kind to the first timer. I always try to keep it intact as much as possible for that standing finger food tradition.
Thank you Peyton, appreciate your support.
@@Neojhun Yeah that’s fair! Certainly wasn’t blaming Mark. The Aussies that he was with told him to eat it totally wrong.
When he was eating that fresh fish by the ocean side....wow so relaxing! Can't imagine how delicious that fish was and right on the beach?! Amazing.
How blessed are we as Australians to have Mark come down under to taste our cuisine & produce.
👏
Really appreciate it, thank you for warm welcome and hospitality in Australia!
I lived in Australia for 4 years. The people were impressive and the food was/is eoic!!
As a Melbournian, I really enjoyed this. I'm constantly amazed by how good the food is here. In my area (Brunswick) I have dozens of amazing restaurants, pubs and cheap eats within walking distance. It's honestly crazy how diverse the food culture is. On my doorstep I have Turkish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Greek, Lebanese, Etheopian, Nepalise, Indian, Thai, Korean, West African, Malaysian, Mexican, Italian, Sri Lankan, South American, Japanese and a fair amount of fish & chips, burgers and kebabs.
I honestly can't keep up with it but it's a nice problem to have. Thanks for visiting this amazing city.
dirty Melbourne river water *SLURP* OOOOOOHOHO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!
Living in Europe for the past 14months and was homesick, especially for the Aussie take on food, (also from Brunswick) Coming home for Christmas and cant wait to eat myself silly!
@@Initial3t Hope you got all the food you desired!
What suburbs is this guy in 💀
Food looked incredible Mark. You are so blessed to eat whatever you want and stay so slender. You are a truly blessed man.
It is absolutely amazing how Mark thoroughly enjoys his experience’s whether he is at a fine dining restaurant, a more casual restaurant, a traditional restaurant, or eating over a campfire or stone oven. He draws you in with him and it’s almost like you’re tasting the food and having the same experience as him. Thank you so much Mark from a fan that watches every video that comes out and when there’s not a new one I go back and work on watching the ones that came out in the past. I’m also subscribed to everyone of your channels and watch all of those videos too. What it would be like to sit down and have a meal with you, it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you again and good will and fortune to you and your family.
Thank you very much Frannie, really appreciate your support and kind words of encouragement. Would be great to share a meal with you!
@@MarkWiens Thank you Mark for coming to experience our food scene, lovely to see you and your family and foodie friends. I have been a fan for years. Thank you for your joy of food.
You understand that probably 70% of the sounds he makes or what he says is at least exaggerated right? I mean he does that to attract you.
He is a very gracious guest.
Im so happy you came here to Melbourne Mark, you looked like you really had a fabulous time. I’m glad you got to experience the beauty of Australia and showcased it to the rest if the world through your videos. Thank you

I lived there for 6 years, Melbourne’s cuisine scene is top 3 in the world, coffee wise definitely number 1! I missed that everyday
I have travelled a bit and in my experience,Melbourne has some of the best food and restaurants in the world.
I like the fact that you're showing the ample diverse richness of Australia, its people, and its food. Love it Mark Wiens
Hi Mark I personally met you in Mumbai Mount Mary Church ,and I live in south Melbourne was so close to you I hope you enjoy Australin food but you really need to try a Indian Restaurant called Angan in Footscray Melbourne they really have some hot spice food for you pls try it before you leave Mark.
This Melbourne vlog has been a long time coming, love the video Mark 👍

Those toasties are next level. Melbourne really is a multicultural food smorgasbord. Glad you are loving the food, Mark. Hope you enjoy your visit here.
So happy to see more of Australian foods!
It's not Australian foods. It's just cultural food dishes that one can expect when visiting.
Hi Mark
So great that you are speading your joy of food in my home country.I've followed you since Mica was born and am so proud of the way you feature our produce,by European comparison we are a young country but with such an amazing array of food we still have a lot to offer,I'm from Sydney and hope you get time to experience our delights as well, please continue to enjoy the great food we have.safe journeying to all the family.

Wow! You remind me of the 2 years I was living in Australia, Brisbane mostly, where I discovered lots of wonderful dishes I had never heard of! Thank you!
i traveled as backpacker in australia years ago, and i was on a budget as a result. all the places mark visited was out out of my budget and never had a chance to really indulge and eat out. i usually just bought the ingredients at the supermarket and cooked at the hostel. damn i missed out on all those delicious food that i didnt know of. thanks for sharing dude
Some of those places like the Bahn Mi and Hectors deli are under $17 a meal. I'm sorry you didn't get to try it!
You can always come back down under! 🇦🇺
I work in the heart of Melbourne and it's so hard not to eat out every lunch break at work. Soooo many amazing restaurants, cafes and pop-up shops.
Started following you Mark back in 2019 researching what and where to eat in Switzerland,. Covid happened and never made that trip but have watched your content grow and followed you on your food adventures ever since. Welcome to my home town Melbourne :)
Mark thank you I am an Aussie…….passionate about cooking and various culture….I cannot separate the two…..I am a new subscriber and love all your middle eastern videos I have learnt so very much on how to present my food authentically ……Your representation of Australian cuisine available is spot on….we are fortunately multi cultural and a very young civilised country …….with much to learn……Thank you so much for your work…💕

Love to see you hitting all of the modern Australian spots.
Hopefully you make some time to get some bush trekking in. There are a number of local Australian ingredients that you don’t see commonly used in modern cuisine that you are trying.

Whole video is filled with mouth watering food amazing video 🔥🔥🔥
Wow! Food looks amazing! Great video as always. Stay safe out there!
This is what I love about my home, Australia. The multicultural diversity. That’s why we have such a broad range of foods here. You can sit at a table with a few mates, and everyone of them has a different cultural background, their parents or grandparents being from overseas, but each and everyone of those people, are fair dinkum Aussies. I love it! Melbourne is renowned for it, but even here in Hobart, Tasmania, it’s the same.
Absolutely exceptional vlog start to finish !!! Very hard to pick a favorite without tasting all the dishes . Truely mouth watering stuff ausi 😍👋🇳🇿
a good aussie fish and chips experience isn't complete without seagulls swooping at you. Glad they came out for you! 😂😂
I love how passionate you are about every bite! Hope you enjoyed your time in Australia mate.. Looks like you did!
How wonderful to have you in Melbourne, Mark! I loves that you show us some truly marvellous eating places in Melbourne. Enjoy watching you eat the lobster paella & kebab dishes!!!!!!
Incredible to see Mark's reaction to a place I went to when they first opened in Richmond. In 6 years their quality has never changed and their service is always exceptional. Beef and Pickles either hectic sauce is the perfect toastie.
