Awesome video bro thanks for taking your time probably going with the family to camp
My brother and I releaseded our parent's ashes at Silverwood. They loved to fish and spent a lot of time there.
I love the detail you give on this video. I love Silverwood. Thanks big dog !!!
Appreciate that.... It's a great campground. Getting expensive though.
I just booked this Sunday for slot 9. I hope this is the one you recorded from the view of the mountain on time 9:37. Really helped to watch this video. I appreciate you, boss.
I camped there either 81 or 82 Memorial weekend i remember we were near a campsite had a small creek right next to it lots of trees overhead one or two looked familiar but you know its been 40 yrs
Thank you for the information that you give us.
Some great campsites there at Silverwood. Maybe its time for another get together there!
You have been trying to think about where a good spot to do that would be. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better at Big Bear for fishing action as a whole, but Silverwood might be a little more central
@@TroutWest only problem is how expensive it's getting there.
Yeah it's really expensive. I can't remember what it used to be but I know it wasn't 45 bucks
I staid mid September in site 57 and it was a pretty nice and mostly secluded site with space for 2 tents or 1 tent and a popup gazebo. Just be aware that one will be semi-close to the fire pit. Even mid September on a Friday night is still rather busy. I don't know if it is the same every time, but camp check in is at the nature center and not the gate.
Thank you, Sir, it is so helpful!!!
Thanks for sharing and info....
Some of those campsites look great. That river is screaming and I'm sure it will get worse as the melt off hits more.
Yes sir, all the creeks here in Southern California are flowing really nice. Right now it's going to pick up in some areas as snow is really starting to melt off. The eastern Sierra are going to see some pretty historic floods in some spots depending on how fast this temperature rise is
Heard trout be hitting at cleghorn
Dude do you still have the other jeep or did you trade it in? This one is nice 💯
Still have the other one! I'm a big fan of the WK2 Jeeps.
@@TroutWest I was hoping you’d say that. cars are getting pricey and i thought maybe you traded in the other jeep.
What campsite were you showing at 7:49?
Not sure on the number, but it's on the right side as you head back to the sites.
Has anyone camped at 109 and 110? We have 13 people and need to know how many tents can fit per site.
Is there bear boxes in the sites or how could we store food?
No bear boxes at the main campground...I do believe there are a few in the miller canyon group sites
Campsite 20 is HUGE
I didn't camp there went hiking during C thought it was great!!!!
What month did you go on???
That was April
Campsite 78 is great
What’s 10:49? Slot?
Do they check on the count of the guest
Not sure!
Don't like camping under powerlines, and 45 bucks to dry camp ? Cali is really messed up. Didn't know Cali had a monsoon season. Where's the lake ? you should be lakefront for that money...
California has some really big monsoon seasons. They're intermittent but it can get really stormy in the high desert with some big flash floods. The lake is directly behind this campground and down a pathway. It's about a 10 minute walk or so from the campground to the water.
Bro ▪︎ California is Basically a Desert up against the Ocean. The Green area is found in limited areas in mountains ⛰️ ▪︎. Sounds like you did not know that 🤔
💥 The Spaniards named it California because they borrowed the name from a Fictional place that literally had the same characteristics ▪︎. In a Spanish Book
it would help if you told us what site number they where. Otherwise all ur info was useless
The tour is an overview of the campground, not an individual campsite tour. If I filmed every campsite it would be a 3-hour video. There are maps available online.
@@TroutWest im just saying if you say , this campsite is a great one, we the viewer dont know .Also a map wouldn't help us find that good site at all. We need a reference or shoutout of a campsite number, even if its not all the campsites
@@trytotravel4713 likewise, the goal isn't to have everybody claiming only certain sites because of the video...
@@TroutWest thats why I film campgrounds lol to know and to inquire of good potential sites.
