He didn't cancel E with W, the combo was E R E W Q. R between E allow you to use double E on 1 target instantly, normally there is a delay between E.
There's no stopping to this guy's champ pool, not a single one of T1 members

Ok, it's not because of the 8ms. It's pure animation cancelling in the first two clips. In the first one he uses E>R>E, that's why he can double shield so fast. He does a similar thing in the second clip, however he uses Shurelya for cancelling (R>E>Shurelya>E>Flash) since he starts with his ultimate. In the third one he uses the first E on Xayah and the second E on Diana. Still, he does the combos in a amazing speed, especially the second one.
why e twice in the second clip? it's not like he's travelling any faster compared to a R>Shurelya>E>Flash>W?
if anything and E>E might be bad because if he's ahead of Xayah at the first e, the second e will place him back to the direction of the original destination
if he's not ahead, will he just e twice but what's the point? you don't travel twice as fast with double e do you?
@@bluerum896 Well tbh I don't know exactly the reason he did it in that particular order. I just broke down what happened in the clips, and how he cancelled the animations. But you are right, second E makes him go back and that's exactly what happened in the clip. It's probably not the optimal play in that case but his speed is still impressive. However there's many other scenarios (two or more allies close) where E>Shurelya>E would be useful.

ever since the animation locking you out of using W or Flash I've always assumed there was no way you could actually cancel it xd
This is a common case of people who don't understand the champion pretenting he's doing something amazing, but with ZERO value. I'm a Plat 4 800k Rakan. so let me make a list why.
- Using E will place you on the opposite side of your ally, setting up your W. When using double E while slingshotting, it only places you back on the incorrect side of your ally, and probably out of range to hit your W.
- E cooldown begins to reset after the first proc, meaning theres no point using both resets if your trying to restart the cooldown timer.
- E shield does not stack, only refreshes, so to use both resets almost instantly means you lose alot of value.
- Using both E resets also prevents you from using it again if you need to return to your adc, creating a longer gap between uses. As a champion that heavily relies on mobility, its not a good idea to be stranded for 16 seconds without the ability to dash in the early/mid game.
- You dont need double E to buffer R animation, just do it on the first E, also allowing you to charm the enemies sooner.
Double tapping E on Rakan is not hard, with the correct settings enabled you can just double click the button and it will do it automatically for you. Amoung Rakan players, it is more often seen as a mistake, due to the lack of finger control, because you get sloppy and/or panic, beginning to mash you bottons in an uncontrolled manner, acidently double-clicking.
This is not a statement questioing keria's skill as a player, as I have been supporting C9, G2 and T1 for the past 3 years. I just don't think it's okay for clip channels to confuse mistakes with skill, or for other people to do the same. Just because something looks flashy doesn't mean it's good.
Just STFU, pay attention and try to learn something, you're gold after 800k with the same champion, trying to teach people, shameful

For the first time I'm seeing random plat being more right than a proplayer on a simple mechanic like this. I mean I've seen pros botch item builds all the time, but things like skill recast? Damn, and people are cheering for it, we're doomed.

that's not unique, he's absolutely great but all great rakan players play exactly like this, let alone the best rakan player, kaiser, even master players like medic who's good at at rakan play like that on stream

@@karappe944 He had to double tap it cuz damage was coming quick and that ensures he gets max shield from two casts of E. Considering xayah's hp was low and xayah managed to stay alive cuz keria gave him double shield from E and guardian, I think it is a good save.

First was animation cancel for R
1st clip he did E R E to cancel the ramp up animation of R just like what the guy above said.
2nd clip he used R first then E E F W. I think he just used E E here to maximize the shield he gave to Xayah before going in and focusing on hitting the enemies. He didn't need to go back to Xayah with the 2nd E since he needed to block whatever the enemies throw at them.
Last clip is just him giving shields to both Xayah and Diana.
@@ritsukinoue I checked the wiki, the shields dont stack. Other ppl say that with double E its more difficult to predict rakans movements, so maybe its to confuse and get the combo off.

0:12 bro wtf that was so fast, i mained rakan once and i can say that ive been a pretty outstanding rakan, but this, it blows my mind how fast he reacts and decides, its a very quick r e flash w engage, he didnt even hesitate for a moment to think that he might miss, he just went there lightning fast
that's not only R>E>F>W, he uses R>E>Shurelya>E>F>W. Using Shurelya to cancel E animation and double cast is what is most impressive in my opinion.

Its not true. Second clip is most importend in the video coze E cooldown begins to reset after the first proc, meaning theres no point using both resets if your trying to restart the cooldown timer. But the real thing he did in this clip was that he jumped with the first E end up being on the top side of the adc that makes a step forward coze he is moving towards the enemys then he immidiately press R to the second E from the top right side of the adc ends up being down but infront of the adc so he gets closer to the enemy.

Nope, but when the shield is gone, 2nd E gives u another shield. Enemy duo applied enuf damage to remove the shield, so 2nd E gave another shield.
It doesn't but it "replenishes" the shield if it gets damaged or depleted.
I have no idea how he even does that? Even mashing the button like crazy there's a delay between the two casts for me
practice and also low ping, i can only imagine playing at 8 ping
@@AkashKumar-gw8pu I mean I had about 20/25 when I tried it, there was still a delay of about half a second between the time when first E ended and second E could be cast, but if bouncing between two different targets the delay is much shorter, it's just double E on the same target which doesn't work
@@erberlon probable guess is that the 12-17 ms difference from playing in 8-9 ms and your 20-25 ms is enough to stop you from being able to cast it that quick.
i think there is some sort of hidden mechanic that doesnt allow to buffer spellcasts but it also punishes u for trying to. ive noticed a similar problem with prowlers + qiyana e combo

I get the first clip cuz he uses the second E to cancel the cast animation of his ult, but for the two other clips i just don't get what you're trying to show

Rakan's E used to have split seconds cooldown after the first cast, right? Did they change smth on it or he's just so good at it?
hey i was curious as well and tried it in custom. do u see how u used his r in his e animation? that somehow cancel's the delay of his second e phase and so it cancels the 0,5 sec cd before u can cast ure second e if done right

It does. If the shield is full then it doesn't give extra but if the shield is gone 2nd E replenishes it.

@@norbirupert8634 I think that shield was applied instantly after keria pressed E, and enemy bot duo applied enuf damage to get rid of it. So his 2nd E gave shield to ad again. That's what I've seen. Pretty sure that extra shield came before guardian was activated, which I could see guardian not being activated yet on the status and xayah receiving another shield. Watched this x0.25 from 0.02s-0.04s and watched guardian sign and xayah's hp bar.

@@kimib0g If you take a closer look at the last moment, xayah could have died due to remaining nautilus' E and last tick of ignite. Keria quickly casted both E to give shield twice rather than knocking up ad first so that xayah doesn't die. Well keria had guardian too but saving one E has a slight chance of not providing shield at the right time and might have been a trade.

It's usually the case but xayah's health was low so he had to provide shield real quick i think. Xayah managed to stay alive due to double shield from two Es and guardian.
