Camera may not be as good as 10 pro but honestly would be just fine for me. The flat screen is what I love about this phone i freaking hate curved edges. Pretty good value for $650 tbh.
There not as good as the 7T from 3 years ago either.
Great video as always! Would like to know which format does it record videos in? Did they mess up like previously in 10 pro which records in old formats
Great video! Personally, I prefer the Pro model as a more complete option but I know many who will not mind the trade of the missing stuff of the alert slider and the Hasselblad logo for a faster gaming and charging perfomance.
If u don't care about the camera which I don't this is a solid phone. It looks good, the performance is great, display is excellent, it's fast, and it has Dolby Atmos dual speakers. Great review btw
it is refreshing to see something positive about OnePlus right now. I am enjoying the heck out of my 10 pro. it is a GREAT PHONE.
Removing slider was the first negative if ya missed ! 10Pro is better. 10T just downgraded itself
I cannot wait to get this phone. The 10 Pro is way too expensive, and this device feels like OnePlus returning to its roots...producing a flagship quality phone at a more affordable price.

Is the improved antenna system really that better? The only reason why I would buy the phone is because of the 360° closed loop antenna especially living in the mountains over here in Vermont and New Hampshire. Would increased connectivity specifically signal and reception is my number one priority for a phone. I just don't want to pay the money for an iPhone and I don't like Samsung's OS. So I'm hoping that the OnePlus 10T really does have that improved signal reception with that antenna. Does anyone have any personal experience?
The 360° Antennae system alone is enough to buy this phone. The new Pixel phones running 1st gen Tensor Chips are notorious for cellular connectivity issues.

Pixel 6 user here you're not wrong at all. Software is fine until you u start making phone calls or use data. That alone is making me reconsider a new phone rn.

Totally agree with the review I'm not bothered that 3 years after the 7T the cameras are significantly worse no telephoto a lower resolution ultra wide without macro.

I was interested at the price point but those sensors means it’s a Pixel 6 if you want a decent upper midrange phone.
Reason 5 is the most important to me since its what i have been struggling with my current phone. Thanks for covering this since most reviewers leave it out

Would you recommend this over the 10 Pro?
Is 950 nits bright enough? I'm on op7 that has 417 nits and I really struggle outdoors..I know nits are logarithmic scale so the op10T is not double so is it considerably brighter than the 7?
An 800 nit display is sufficient enough to handle against the sun. My 11 Lite 5G Ne has an 800nit high brightness mode and is enough for me too see the display under the sun.

Agree with your assessment of the phone.
For an android device you get more for what you pay.
It gets old watching video after video of people pissing on everything new that comes out because it doesn't have this widget or they took this widget away.
While the following may not be true I know it to be true with some 2022/23 phones.
Today, right now there are companies producing their new 2023 models and these phones ship with android 5 or 6. True you do not pay much for these 2023 phones and they don't cost much, but not everyone wants or needs or can afford a phone that could run the USS Enterprise.
I have the 10t and I thank this producer for giving this device a fair shake. Probably one of the few fair reviews I've seen on this or any phone in almost a year.
Looking at the way back machine I see an age when the iphone 7/7+ were the darlings of the technofiles.
Today those technofiles would sooner piss on one of those phones than review them. And why? Both devices are totally capable even today for 90+% of the world population.
I have everything from the 7 to the 13ProMax. I use all of them the exact same way, I also have the OP10t/Pro/11, and use them the same way I use the iPhones. I know people who are still using the iphone 8 and loving it still. The 7/7+ is still totally usable, I use them regularly and have zero problems. They have been put out to pasture not because they are no longer capable but because Apple made it so.
Same happens with millions of android phones. Still capable but the manufacturer or android community doesn't care so in to a landfill they go.

I can't stand the massive camera bumps on recent flagships. Wish they would release a flagship without a bump and more focused on battery life and productivity instead.
Galaxy s22 ultra has very minimal bumps. Just very expensive and crappy SoC

I wrote so many times about brightness issue or display issue in S22 ultra. If the movie or web show is in HDR content whether the app is Netflix or Prime Videos the content is so dark its unwatchable and i am so disappointed to buy S22 Ultra. So many people raised the isse about the HDR content but we still didn't got any update i also watched in youtube the comparision between S22 Ultra, S21 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra among the 3 Note 20 Ultra HDR content was so good but its so bad in S22 Ultra seriously i dont feel like watching any shows or movies in S22 Ultra. So i purchased Xiaomi pad 5 and its far far better than S22 Ultra. Samsung request you to do something and at the earliest else ill switch from Samsung to Xiaomi because its more cheaper and also has a brilliant display.
I got mine for $370
No alert slider, no OxygenOs pee, no design evolution, no Hasselblad parternership next year. Yeah it's been hard this days.
It's a downgrade handsdown . No matter how positive you try to be in a review. But they left the basic behind !

Michael Josh, what a bold statement to say that there's "nothing to hate". There are a few.
1. Removal of the Alert Slider, the brand's distinguishing feature.
2. Continuous Oppo-ification of the OnePlus brand and software, leading to a brand identity crisis.
3. Macro camera on a high-end device.
4. Lack of wireless charging in that price range.
I've been an advocate for OnePlus ever since the OnePlus 3T since it offered so much value for the price. The last best OnePlus ever, I think, is the OnePlus 7T. The 8 Pro was very good, but ever since then, it's gotten downhill. And the 10T is a good example of that.
I HATE how OnePlus just thought to themselves "hey, let's ditch our fan-beloved feature to allot space for our faster charging tech." Alert Slider is synonymous with OnePlus in Android like the mute switch is with the iPhone.
So yes, there are some things to hate with the OnePlus 10T.

Thanks for the review , but why have 2 mp macro useless lens which is totally useless. I'm not so sure about their software updates coming in a timely manner . I'm not hater cuz I had the oneplus 6 and 7 pro , but if you follow Oneplus on Reddit there are mostly unhappy Oneplus owners . I'm tempted , but Google and Samsung have a better track record with updates ...

For those who love using their smartphone for photography then Chinese phone is not for you. I owned several like Oppo, Vivo and one plus before. Photos are great but the quality decreases when you upload it in social media, Specially in Facebook.
Isn't that an Android thing? Same case on Instagram.

@@rutuparna I still like the look of the oxygenos despite merging with coloros. Not too much bloatwares/pre installed apps and I can still disable all unwanted google apps etc. optimization is still good though I am using Nord 2 and I am super satisfied with the mediatek dimensity 1200 and 65W fast charging camera is pretty solid too with the help of imx 766

People asks too much, compare too much like they are even gonna notice the difference in the real world specially when you're already using a top notch phone. When it comes to camera it depends on how you use it but when you like to just go point and shoot y'all could go for google pixels or iphones
Difficult to recommend Oneplus since the software is going downhill and is littered with bugs and slow updates.
