For now, I'm just gonna appreciate the cool design. I'm more excited for Nothing to release their first water-resistant and flagship model. Hope it's next year.
I have a32 samsung and as much as i wantto wait for their next flagship ill jump the ship and buy this. Good for 3 to 4 years use. Plus may a32 is already not providing my needs. Smooth vrowsing and casual gaming.

I just bought the nothing phone 2a and im loving it so far. However i have notice one issue which i think most people will miss. When you look at the rear of the phone in artificial light it looks ok. However when you view the back of the phone in sunlight, there is this weird rainbow look around the sides. I think this is due to the type of transparent glue that they are using to fix the rear see through polycarbonate shell.
Beautiful phone. You forgot to mention the OS upgrade cycle as well as warranty and service options. Do they have the option to repair it if you break the display, for example? And what are the accessories on the market? I would encourage you to always include these in reviews because it's good to know what the ecosystem is like. thanks
I currently have the Phone 1, 12+256gb model and it has aged incrediblywell. Because of how little I use it I average 4 days of battery life. I decided to pick up the Nothing Phone 2a 12+256gb model because I simply wanted something with a better camera, battery life and longer software support. Plus the Phone 1 is always a great backup. The features the 2a cuts I literally do not care about and paying £30 more over the base model for 4gb more RAM and 128gb more storage is a no brainer. Nothing is my go to brand for phones and I know the 2a will age nicely like the 1 has.

@@ppan Got my Phone 2a today, a day before launch. It is pretty awesome. It sips power, it is nice and snappy. Compared to the Phone 1 at launch it is very polished. My device shipped with Nothing OS 2.5.1a. (2.5.3 was available as an update.) But even that alpha build of Nothing OS which shipped with the Phone 2a was very polished and ran very well with the device getting even better once I updated it to 2.5.3. I'm very impressed with the device and for once the hype lived up to expectations. I am very excited to see how much better the 2a will feel once it gets optimised even further.

it is 8 GB Ram with 128 GB storage for that 250$ one, the 12 GB Ram with 256 GB storage variant both cost 350$ in India and USA. There is no 128 GB variant in USA
For how long do you have this phone? Did you encounter any build quality issues? Like for example some people complaining they are getting a dust particles inside of camera lens. Did you notice any?

Can it do multi -window multitasking side by side or top & bottom?
Would you know what bitrate is the audio when recording video?
Hey... Nothing phone 2a user here.. No it has no Dolby Atmos or Dolby vision. No spatial audio or a multi band equaliser. However it's got loud speakers. It can do multi window top and down multitasking. And no it doesn't tell you which bitrate the audio is in when recording.

the back plastic shine feels really cheap, maybe with the white variant it will be fine, but if you could get pass that and the ok camera, this is a nice phone.

in Philippines most people considered budget phone costs 10,000 pesos and below but this phone costs 18,000 and 20,000 pesos which what many people here considered that price as already expensive
10k below is cheap. 15k to 20k IS true midrange.

I've owned Poco phones before... The F1, F3, M5.... And yea in terms of hardware it's better. But I've had several problems with the software. So I often ended up installing custom roms on it. MIUI and hyperOS are just utter garbage. With custom roms you do get more reliability but you lose some functionality. The Poco M6 pro is a great value phone... But I'm never going back to Poco or Xiaomi devices ever.
Do keep in mind that nothing software is not perfect either, but it's still better than the likes of HyperOS. Also the cameras are slightly better for photos as well. The video capability however should be better on Poco due to a more powerful processor.

There are plenty of phones between $300 and $700 that will get you everything you need and what flagships dont give you anymore which is actually sad that phones over $1000 almost only add just another camera on the hardware and nothing special... get out that bubble, i sure did and its wonderful😊.

Only the X6 pro is similarly priced. The rest of the phones are more expensive tho? X6 pro got great hardware, but not so great software.

Yep, this CZcams channel has officially lost its Philippine touch. The days of niche smartphone reviews are past now. Back in the day, this channel produced videos featuring the Xiaomis, Redmis, Vivo V-series, Zenfones of the world, etc. but now, they're all gone. It seems they just go along the bandwagon set by their fellow TechTubers and just cover what's hip and trendy in the States, and forget their first fanbase, the Philippine audience.
Hope y'all remember your roots. New York is fine and dandy, but America is not just the sole source of quality tech content. Bring the Filipino touch in this CZcams channel back.
