Wilfa Uniform: Retention, Speed and Auto-Off Test

- In this video, I demonstrate Wilfa Svart Uniform Grinder functions:
* single-doze grinding,
* retention (zero retention on medium and coarse grind setting, max. 0.3 grams on finer ones),
* productivity/speed of grinding (it's quite slow)
* cool auto-off function.

It's slow but also a dam good grinder. I have the version without the scale.
Пытался молоть для турки на положениях 1,2 и полетел редуктор. Не знаешь, как разобрать с наименьшими потерями это чудо? Может есть шанс реанимировать?
К сожалению, не знаю. Сочувствую. Не стоило, конечно. Она ж для фильтра все-таки сделана, не рассчитана на постоянную работу на мелком помоле...
@@101kofemashina Где бы об этом еще было написано. Наоборот ведь, все именно ее универсальность как преимущество преподносят. Ну да ладно.
В принципе, по гарантии производитель прислал мне новую кофемолку. А сломанную типа мол выкиньте да и все. Но хотелось посмотреть, "как устроен паровоз". :)
Are you happy with it? Setting you use for filter coffe say a moccamaster?
approx. 17 for a start. but it depends on particular coffee beans of course

have you ever used it for aeropress? What grind setting do you recommend?
No, because I do not practice aeropress. However, good filter- and frenchpress-grind suggest that it would be good for aeropress as well.
Uhm.. thanks vor the video.. but that's not how you measure retention (only if you disassembled and cleaned the machine completely before the test). What happens is this (for example): There are 2 grams of old coffee still in the grinder from last time (=retention). You put in 15 grams of fresh beans. The 2 grams of old coffee gets pushed out first, followed by 13 grams of fresh coffee. 2 grams of fresh coffee stay inside the machine. You measure your grounds: 15 grams of coffee. But 2 grams of it are old coffee.
That's was the first grinding cycle after unboxing...
