Wow,... this is marvelous. Unlike anything I've seen.
I never really painted anything. I'm more of a comic book artist ergo draw with lead and black ink but after watching some of your videos I'm getting the strong urge to pick up painting.
Oh, and there is a burning question that I have. I watched a couple of those Black 2.0 videos and wondered.... I know, this may be a little bit of a stretch but hear me out... as a fountain pen connoisseur I do love my inks. The only problem is that most black inks are simply put not black enough for me (most of them appear grayish on paper). Would it be somehow possible to create some sort of fountain pen ink with the Black 2.0 paint? That would be really amazing.....
    Best regards

I love colocating art stuff too. I actually got into art because of my unkle of mine who also collected art supplies for over 4 decades but rarely used them, when he died I being the only artistic person in the family I ended up with easily over 60k worth of art supplies, a literal lifetime amount of supplies. Most of the paints were dried but all the outher stuff like the japanese calligraphy sets, oil an ink paints older than me, watercolor pencil sets for days, jewelry bezel settings for cabochons, rolls of silver gold copper wire, skanes of yarn, polymer clays, epoxy it goes on. It's actually why I do a lot of art projects. To where I now it has become my liveing after a chronic illness killed my career as a physical therapist/nurse. I kinda wish I had known him more when he was still alive an could tell him thank you for helping me find joy in life again by doing art. Even if it was all by pure chance, part of what drives me to do more is seeing all the art ideas he had but never got around to doing them. You never know when you're gonna pass an there won't allways be a tomarrow to procrastinate to.

Actually it reminds me of a Hugo Boss red bottle that I have that used to change when you grabbed it, it doesn't work as well as it used to but maybe it could be used for a bottle that you can fill up with new aftershave or perfume i guess..

Can anyone explain... I.m trying to find an answer. Stuart says Shift must be kept in the fridge, and shaken every 2 to 3 days, but it is delivered, not in a cool bag with a disposable ice block to keep it cool whilst in transit. Also the box is sealed with the 2.0, so it can,t be stored in the warehouse in a fridge, or that would harm the 2.0. So it is stored in a warehouse, ready boxed to be shipped out, either in a fridge with a member of staff shaking all the boxes every 2 or 3 days and the 2.0 at risk of low temperature, OR, the boxes are sitting in the warehouse, not refridgerated or shaken, saving the 2.0 but not the Shift. One of the products is going to suffer! Mine has just arrived, and I.m trying to find out. Even Culture Hustle say keep it in the fridge, but why if it is unopened and has not been stored in a fridge in the warehouse, or kept cool during transit? Surely it must be ' once opened, store in fridge'? Don,t know how the 2 different products, that require different care and storage, can be in the same box, sealed with cellophane, and correctly cared for in warehouse and during transit. My box could have been sitting somewhere for weeks!!

Because the stools had a shallow dimpled texture, I may put a second coat, but looks good with one and had some left over (about enough left over to use on a small craft poject). But it's not essential you could totally stir the bottle. There's not much in it.

If it needs to be stored in the fridge how can you ship it? Does the object you paint it on need to be kept in the fridge too?

So after the area where you've painted cools off does the rainbow effect go away?

Is this safe for use outdoors? I know you mentioned a lot about temperature for the liquid crystal. But once its in the black 2 does that quality stay? Or is it okay to use it outside or at higher temperatures

I saw you mentioned its okay to put a protective varnish over them, do you know if a spray sealant (like say the purity seal from citadel made for model work) would effect it? I'd love to use it for a doll project and want to know the best way to do so. Usually I finish the entire paint work and seal with a spray. But i dont want to diminish or damage the effect. Would it be better to apply the liquid rainbow after the sealant and then varnish just the shift areas?

2 quick questions - does the effect deteriorate with time if the activation is living? As in - will it still have a colour-changing effect a year later or does the heat vibrance mellow down? And can it be coated with a varnish to protect the surface?
I was hoping to paint a small visionary reliquary with it and keep it on a shelf, and enjoy watching the changes through summer and winter ambient temperatures. Just wondering about keeping it in good condition as the Black 2.0 tended to chip off quite easily..

Anubiss Darkling liquid crystal is what makes LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)screens work.
So I assume it should at least keep the effect for a pretty long time.
Maybe don't subjective it to extreme temperatures.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to change color? I’m think of doing something for an art project but I don’t want it to just stay black while I’m presenting it.
