That little girl in the overalls behind the UT bench was losing her mind the entire game. Ahhh, such innocence. She hasn't learned the art of being a self hating Vol yet. The pain will come.
Give it a few years and she'll be pacing around, yelling at the refs through the TV and vowing to never watch another Vol game again
Iowa won a backyard scrap against Cincinnati in the first round. They fell in a pressure cooker to Tennessee in the second round. Tennessee came up just short in an overtime classic to Purdue in the Sweet 16, while Purdue lost a gut-wrenching overtime epic against Virginia in the Elite Eight. Virginia would survive two legendary games in the Final Four to capture their only national title. What a region this was.
The Hawk's women and mens sports help get us through our trying winters... Thank you to each and everyone of you for your hard work and diligence

They could’ve easily sat back and let Tennessee cruise with an easy win, but theyre determination and desire to win was present for the entire second half and it’s heartbreaking to see that not pay off for these young guys. They were one shot away from making history #FightForIowa

The people in iowa have always treated me nicely been through there many times ! Tennessee has a Great team and to be Honest iowa deserved that W more than anyone after coming back from that! That was unbelievable!

Actually I came for that free 3 pt foul shot play that should've been a no foul by Lamonte Turner that the refs gift wrapped for you.
the 5 point swing of the blocked 3 foul call was far more egregious

Haters gonna hate. Tennessee dominated the first half, let up the second half, and dominated OT. I look forward to facing Purdue. GBO. And to all the salty Iowa fans that come here to complain about refs: HOLD THIS "L". Pretty sad when a team fights back 25 points and still loses by six. Iowa played their hearts out, played their best game all season and still could not survive the aVOLanche. GG to Iowa. Purdue, we're coming for you.

The problem throughout that game was the fouls on the VOLS because every time we played a aggressive D Iowa drew the fouls coach is certainly gonna change that for Thursday

I am disappointed at the Tennessee coaching on the second half! They totally let the foot off the Gas defensively in the first 12 minutes of the second half! You dont win a game till the game ends!!! Iowa almost got you coach!!!

You're overlooking the fact that Iowa played with tremendous effort in the second half. It was Iowa that made the comeback happen, not Tennessee giving it to em.
@@theartof2ndplace237 no Tennessee needed a time out when they lost half of their lead because they were not aggressive enough on the run. Coach thought iowa was not gonna be an issue and he just made some adjustments.

I guess it's all about perspective. I'm a Hawkeye fan who believes it was a spirited comeback by the Hawks. You're a Tennessee fan that believes that Tennessee didn't show up to play in the 2nd half, and it nearly cost em.

Tbh, I'm more impressed with how much effort Iowa gave in that 2nd half. I hadn't seen that kind of effort, against this level of opponent, from the Hawks in quite some time!
Anyway, you should be pretty pumped about the win yesterday! The Volunteers have a fantastic team, one that I have going to the Final Four. Just enjoy this for what it is, a trip to the Sweet 16 for the Volunteers!

Refs gave 3 free points to Iowa for a non-foul turnover. They would not have even gone to overtime if it weren't for that.

This has to be one of the worst March Madness since probably the 07-08 season. No upsets. Yes, Davidson was the darling that year, but there's really nothing happening this year. No double digit seeds and all the usuals are winning. Pretty wack.
