They didn’t just drop the ball, they specifically tried to arrange it so that the liberal group would win. The moderator for was the liberals. There were so many times that the moderator would immediately step in and shut down conversation if it looked like the conservatives were getting and leg up. But when the liberals were straight up verbally assaulting the conservatives, the moderator did nothing. Also, the editing was done in such a way to help the liberals look better. Jubilee said they like to help people try and find middle ground. But all they did here was show their huge bias. What’s super funny is that even with all of the things swayed to the liberal side, they still made themselves look awful.

Older more mature heads in a conversation is always a boon. Blair is smart but she doesn’t have I think the vocabulary/personality to debate so intensely and professionally. And that’s not a knock it’s just kind of something some people are born with/have better skills with. It’s why not everyone is a public speaker lol. Blair was also ofc likely not as internally coherent with all of the stress of that targeted harassment. But Sarah is great to listen to. You can tell she’s thinking on her words before she speaks and tries to carefully out her words together clearly. I don’t think Blair does that quite as much and I think the distinction it makes is clear as a result. Something small but so impactful!

We need to bring back the culture of the 1990s where kids were raised to be unique and proud of themselves and accepting and not trying to categorize and place everyone into boxes and label everyone, I was literally raised to never label people and now we're raising kids that they have to label everyone and that you shouldn't accept yourself for who you are and they're encouraged to change their identity, im a feminine man and if I grew up in today's climate I would have been encouraged to change my sex / gender through experimental surgery instead of just loving myself

I was raised in the 80's and it was the same, also in the 1980's men wore make up androgyny was all the rage, yet now they think they're trail blazers but it's all been done before. They would have had a field day with me a typical tom boy who liked to do all the things the boys did and had all male friends and short boy haircut etc, yet I liked dresses never wore trousers and hated dirt on my clothes, My parents left me to it and never commented on it really and I grew up comfortable in my own skin and none of the raging insecurities these people seem to have.
I was a total tomboy when I was in pre-school and that was fine. I‘m still a woman and I don’t want to know what would’ve happened if I was raised during the time rn…

As a 50 year old happily married gay man who has been "out" for 30+ years, I withdrew from and distanced myself from the "community" years ago because of these activists.
As a trans woman when I think of transphobia, I think harassing or assaulting someone because they are trans is transphobic. Like if you go out of your way to make a trans person feel uncomfortable just cause you don't like them cause they're trans, that's transphobic. There's lots I just can't stand about the trans community, I'm a total lone wolf when it comes to being trans. I do my own thing, me being trans was never a corny political statement, it's about me being happy in my own skin and I knew from day one that if I want people in public to refer to me as a she/her, I needed to put the effort in, it's like a second full time job but instead of getting paid, you spend spend spend. There's trans women out there that don't want to put the effort in, they expect people that don't have anything to do with them to use their "preferred pronouns" when they look like a dude in grey sweat pants and 5 0 clock shadow from a mile a away and they flip out when people call them a "he". When I first started my journey and I'd go to stores or restaurants and I'd get called sir, I'd just shrug it off because the guy who's serving me my coffee or what ever doesn't get paid enough to have me freaking out about my neurological condition that he has no clue about. Another example of something that's not transphobic but some people think is transphobic is what's going on on dating apps. There are trans women who don't disclose that they are trans on their profile when they have transgender options to choose from whether it's a trans man or a trans woman or one of those trendy "non-binaries" that really made the trans community look like shit, but that's a topic for another day. So there are trans women on tinder for example that feel like they don't have to tell guys that they are trans because it's just so personal for them to share that information because they feel like they should be treated like a real woman. These are the same types of people that would think you're transphobic for not wanting to date them because of your own sexual preference. I disclose that I'm trans in my profile and I match with a lot of guys that seem to miss that part and the conversations I have with those guys are nothing but polite. "oh sorry, I didn't see that you're trans. That's not really my thing". Then I just say "All good, good luck on your search.". I've had worse conversations with guys that wanted to "hook up" with me cause I'm trans. There's just something about being reduced to nothing but a fetish that doesn't feel very nice. I personally feel like that's transphobic, but it's nothing worth getting angry about, we're all allowed to be into what ever it is that gets our rocks off as long as it's between 2 consenting adults. I feel like there's 2 kinds of trans women. Some of us still live on planet earth despite being trans and then some of them don't live on planet earth yet they expect the world to revolve around them. The ladder does more harm than good for the trans community. If they spent half the time they spent getting angry over petty things and put it towards actually looking like a woman, they'd probably pass and wouldn't need to spend that time getting so angry over those petty things and then they could spend the other half of that energy addressing real transphobia. The truth is, they just wanna be angry and miserable and they just want to go off on people. That goes both ways too though, I've had guys try bringing me down cause I'm trans and they didn't look like they were too happy with themselves. Some people just have a need to bring other people down to their level. I couldn't even call that transphobia. Pardon the long ass rant, it's just a few things that came to mind after I read your comment :)

We live in a world full of insanity and stupidity. Now it can mainly be objectively seen as just so much justification to let epidemics of Mental Illness go so undiagnosed but more common under the radar. I am scared for Earth, and the future of humanity. This world makes me very sick and just sort of pretty depressing.
Affirming care allows TONS of other potential mental disorders go undiagnosed. Corporations telling therapists they must "affirm people, or else" is an absolutely awful approach to care. There are numerous disorders that can manifest with dysphoric symptoms... Without being able to ask a patient questions, a therapist can never actually get to the root of whatever is causing the distress.

As a transsexual man, I am so glad I was raised as a girl and got to figure who I am out before transitioning. I have spent so much time in therapy making sure what I was suffering from was legitimately gender dysphoria and not body dysmorphia.

it didn't seem cut weird at all. They edited it in a different order so that Blaire would come off as aggressive and offensive for absolutely no reason right out the gate. They put a single Non-Binary person on the panel so that when they brought up the question of their validity under the "Trans Umbrella", it would essentially be a one-sided attack on that single person and makes the ones who disagree out to be bullies (mostly Blaire). They shut down the conservative side (mostly Blaire, again) from fully explaining or discussing basically anything, but will allow the others to go ham with as much misdirection or misinformation as they want. I'd say it was a pretty coordinated effort on their part to make themselves look as biased as possible. They did a bang up job pissing people off.
And the thing with trans people, when you're transitioning, you're only transitioning to one other gender, which is just the gender that is opposite of the one you were born as.

Thank you for covering things like this Amir. I'm a Gen Z student in my first year of college and I've been recently building up my views because I realized how WEIRD the outside world is. I went to a small IB high school where kids were all first-generation or immigrants from other places (or their parents were immigrants). The reason why I mention this is because we had an upbringing that didn't leave us any space to think about delusional shit shows like the TQ+ community and we literally couldn't give a singular fuck about the entire pronoun shit. This all comes down to narrative and privilege which is exactly what Blossom did this entire debate. I don't know much about her life at all, but she uses the race card often and I'm guessing hence the feel and need for her to come up and talk shit. Conversations like these go nowhere when they just go around insulting everyone, especially behind their back. They don't like Blaire, that's all well and fine, but the way they went about it was wrong. This whole thing was a mess from Jubilee and instead of having a thought provoking dialogue we got this travesty.

im very strong about the medicalizing kids ordeal because at 14 I was put on antidepressants and to this day (having been off them for years) I still have issues, I couldn't consent.
Waiting til 18 has the bonus of puberty curing diagnosed gender dysphoria in 82% of cases. We're helping 18% who - like Blaire - are happier delaying transitioning til 18 and remaining fertile at the EXPENSE of destroying the lives of 82% of all kids diagnosed with GD 😢
I also want to add that puberty blockers can fuck up the transition of the people that are actually trans. If a boy thinks he's trans, goes on puberty blockers and is definitely a trans woman, she can't get bottom surgery if she wants and needs it because there's not enough for the doctor to work with because the area is under developed. Drugs like Lupron, Zoladex, etc were meant for chemical castration, it stops testosterone production. An adult male can take these drugs to treat prostate cancer without surgery, and they have been given to sex offenders to stop their sex drive. When they stop taking them they typically start producing testosterone again, and this is why you always hear "they're reversible". Yeah, for ADULT males. But if kids are given these meds to prevent puberty, the part of the brain that tells the body to go into puberty essentially shuts down, and it stops working all together if the drugs are given for an extended length of time. It's like, if you don't use it, you lose it. How can the drugs be "reversed" if the body never went through puberty? What exactly is being reversed in a child who's body never went into puberty?

I have seen so much disrespect here and the fact jubilee prevented blaire from speaking at certain points. So appalling the management at jubilee was. I do agree that the bathroom debate is very convoluted and it’s very hard to say what the correct thing to do is. But just want to add a woman’s perspective which is that I can’t remember a single time I felt any discomfort around a butch woman being in the woman’s bathroom. It might have taken my brain a millisecond longer than normal, but I still clocked them as a woman. My body felt no threat. Women are SO good at threat analysis, and it really does deeper than short hair or mens clothes, it is an energy; we can sense the difference between a butch woman and a man. And it’s also, for me, why I feel no discomfort around most trans women, they do really have that female energy. Now, the AGPs on the other hand…in addition to the 5 o’clock shadows and bad wigs, there is an energy they give off, and that’s when you know you’re in the bathroom with someone who is enjoying being in there TOO much. When I say ‘energy’ it’s probably micro facial expressions that I’m picking up on.

I was simply suggest when it comes to the bathroom situation that people continue to use the bathrooms that's a family bathroom or family restroom because anybody can go in those. Nobody's looking at what you look like when you walk in there. Especially when only one person can go ahead and use that bathroom. When the women's bathroom was completely full and I was definitely not able to take advantage of that awkward time where a female has to use a men's bathroom because she has to go to the bathroom, and the family bathroom was there an available I went right ahead and I used it. So therefore using a bathroom that says family restroom is definitely more sensible than having to fight whether to go to the men's or women's bathroom if your trans or if you're a gay person who happens to look like the opposite sex. Again this really stems from people's safety. If we want to make it very easy for us to decipher who's really going into the bathroom just to go to the bathroom and not be a pervert then these are the things that we have to consider. So yes safety is the main key here, followed by being reasonable, and using good common sense.

Agreed. The poor casting choices on the liberal side and excessive bias against Blaire created a toxic situation. It was a miracle half the cast remained mostly calm.
They didn’t just drop the ball, they specifically tried to arrange it so that the liberal group would win. The moderator for was the liberals. There were so many times that the moderator would immediately step in and shut down conversation if it looked like the conservatives were getting and leg up. But when the liberals were straight up verbally assaulting the conservatives, the moderator did nothing.
Also, the editing was done in such a way to help the liberals look better. Jubilee said they like to help people try and find middle ground. But all they did here was show their huge bias.

And that’s not a knock it’s just kind of something some people are born with/have better skills with. It’s why not everyone is a public speaker lol. Blair was also ofc likely not as internally coherent with all of the stress of that targeted harassment. But Sarah is great to listen to. You can tell she’s thinking on her words before she speaks and tries to carefully out her words together clearly. I was raised in the 80's and it was the same, also in the 1980's men wore make up androgyny was all the rage, yet now they think they're trail blazers but it's all been done before. They would have had a field day with me a typical tom boy who liked to do all the things the boys did and had all male friends and short boy haircut etc, yet I liked dresses never wore trousers and hated dirt on my clothes, My parents left me to it and never commented on it really and I grew up comfortable in my own skin and none of the raging insecurities these people seem to have.
I was a total tomboy when I was in pre-school and that was fine. I‘m still a woman and I don’t want to know what would’ve happened if I was raised during the time rn…

As a 50 year old happily married gay man who has been "out" for 30+ years, I withdrew from and distanced myself from the "community" years ago because of these activists.
You know what would be a great video… what is really considered transphobic vs. what the media says “is transphobic”.
As a trans woman when I think of transphobia, I think harassing or assaulting someone because they are trans is transphobic. Like if you go out of your way to make a trans person feel uncomfortable just cause you don't like them cause they're trans, that's transphobic.
There's lots I just can't stand about the trans community, I'm a total lone wolf when it comes to being trans. I do my own thing, me being trans was never a corny political statement, it's about me being happy in my own skin and I knew from day one that if I want people in public to refer to me as a she/her, I needed to put the effort in, it's like a second full time job but instead of getting paid, you spend spend spend. There's trans women out there that don't want to put the effort in, they expect people that don't have anything to do with them to use their "preferred pronouns" when they look like a dude in grey sweat pants and 5 0 clock shadow from a mile a away and they flip out when people call them a "he". When I first started my journey and I'd go to stores or restaurants and I'd get called sir, I'd just shrug it off because the guy who's serving me my coffee or what ever doesn't get paid enough to have me freaking out about my neurological condition that he has no clue about.
Another example of something that's not transphobic but some people think is transphobic is what's going on on dating apps. There are trans women who don't disclose that they are trans on their profile when they have transgender options to choose from whether it's a trans man or a trans woman or one of those trendy "non-binaries" that really made the trans community look like shit, but that's a topic for another day. So there are trans women on tinder for example that feel like they don't have to tell guys that they are trans because it's just so personal for them to share that information because they feel like they should be treated like a real woman. These are the same types of people that would think you're transphobic for not wanting to date them because of your own sexual preference.
I disclose that I'm trans in my profile and I match with a lot of guys that seem to miss that part and the conversations I have with those guys are nothing but polite. "oh sorry, I didn't see that you're trans. That's not really my thing". Then I just say "All good, good luck on your search.".
I've had worse conversations with guys that wanted to "hook up" with me cause I'm trans. There's just something about being reduced to nothing but a fetish that doesn't feel very nice. I personally feel like that's transphobic, but it's nothing worth getting angry about, we're all allowed to be into what ever it is that gets our rocks off as long as it's between 2 consenting adults.
I feel like there's 2 kinds of trans women. Some of us still live on planet earth despite being trans and then some of them don't live on planet earth yet they expect the world to revolve around them. The ladder does more harm than good for the trans community. If they spent half the time they spent getting angry over petty things and put it towards actually looking like a woman, they'd probably pass and wouldn't need to spend that time getting so angry over those petty things and then they could spend the other half of that energy addressing real transphobia. The truth is, they just wanna be angry and miserable and they just want to go off on people. That goes both ways too though, I've had guys try bringing me down cause I'm trans and they didn't look like they were too happy with themselves. Some people just have a need to bring other people down to their level. I couldn't even call that transphobia.

Affirming care allows TONS of other potential mental disorders go undiagnosed. Corporations telling therapists they must "affirm people, or else" is an absolutely awful approach to care. There are numerous disorders that can manifest with dysphoric symptoms... Without being able to ask a patient questions, a therapist can never actually get to the root of whatever is causing the distress.

As a transsexual man, I am so glad I was raised as a girl and got to figure who I am out before transitioning. I have spent so much time in therapy making sure what I was suffering from was legitimately gender dysphoria and not body dysmorphia.

it didn't seem cut weird at all. They edited it in a different order so that Blaire would come off as aggressive and offensive for absolutely no reason right out the gate. They put a single Non-Binary person on the panel so that when they brought up the question of their validity under the "Trans Umbrella", it would essentially be a one-sided attack on that single person and makes the ones who disagree out to be bullies (mostly Blaire). They shut down the conservative side (mostly Blaire, again) from fully explaining or discussing basically anything, but will allow the others to go ham with as much misdirection or misinformation as they want. I'd say it was a pretty coordinated effort on their part to make themselves look as biased as possible. They did a bang up job pissing people off.

And the thing with trans people, when you're transitioning, you're only transitioning to one other gender, which is just the gender that is opposite of the one you were born as.

Thank you for covering things like this Amir. I'm a Gen Z student in my first year of college and I've been recently building up my views because I realized how WEIRD the outside world is. I went to a small IB high school where kids were all first-generation or immigrants from other places (or their parents were immigrants). The reason why I mention this is because we had an upbringing that didn't leave us any space to think about delusional shit shows like the TQ+ community and we literally couldn't give a singular fuck about the entire pronoun shit. This all comes down to narrative and privilege which is exactly what Blossom did this entire debate. I don't know much about her life at all, but she uses the race card often and I'm guessing hence the feel and need for her to come up and talk shit. Unfortunately the same problem exists if trans women are let in women's bathrooms. What is "passing" and how are we supposed to draw the line? Predators will (and have) take advantage of the even smallest ambiguity.
The only solution I've got is a third single stall bathroom. That seems the safest for all parties involved.

im very strong about the medicalizing kids ordeal because at 14 I was put on antidepressants and to this day (having been off them for years) I still have issues, I couldn't consent.
Waiting til 18 has the bonus of puberty curing diagnosed gender dysphoria in 82% of cases. We're helping 18% who - like Blaire - are happier delaying transitioning til 18 and remaining fertile at the EXPENSE of destroying the lives of 82% of all kids diagnosed with GD 😢
I also want to add that puberty blockers can fuck up the transition of the people that are actually trans. If a boy thinks he's trans, goes on puberty blockers and is definitely a trans woman, she can't get bottom surgery if she wants and needs it because there's not enough for the doctor to work with because the area is under developed. Puberty blockers and transitioning at a young age is a terrible idea for most people that consider it
@@SkaterBladescame to say just this! Not only that, but puberty blockers are literally the same exact meds used for chemical castration! And they're not "reversible" when used as puberty blockers. Drugs like Lupron, Zoladex, etc were meant for chemical castration, it stops testosterone production. An adult male can take these drugs to treat prostate cancer without surgery, and they have been given to sex offenders to stop their sex drive. When they stop taking them they typically start producing testosterone again, and this is why you always hear "they're reversible". Yeah, for ADULT males. But if kids are given these meds to prevent puberty, the part of the brain that tells the body to go into puberty essentially shuts down, and it stops working all together if the drugs are given for an extended length of time. It's like, if you don't use it, you lose it. How can the drugs be "reversed" if the body never went through puberty? What exactly is being reversed in a child who's body never went into puberty?
Right!! That’s exactly why they want to get to them before the dysphoria fixes itself!

I have seen so much disrespect here and the fact jubilee prevented blaire from speaking at certain points. So appalling the management at jubilee was. Both blossom, that NB guy friendo and jubilee disappointed me so much here.
I do agree that the bathroom debate is very convoluted and it’s very hard to say what the correct thing to do is. But just want to add a woman’s perspective which is that I can’t remember a single time I felt any discomfort around a butch woman being in the woman’s bathroom. It might have taken my brain a millisecond longer than normal, but I still clocked them as a woman. My body felt no threat. Women are SO good at threat analysis, and it really does deeper than short hair or mens clothes, it is an energy; we can sense the difference between a butch woman and a man. And it’s also, for me, why I feel no discomfort around most trans women, they do really have that female energy. As a parent of adult & young children. Parents should be able to make choices for their children if its legal.
But these parents & doctors should be liable for any lifelong medical issues or regret the child experiences once they are adults.
The issue is the lack of liability against the ADULTS
I was simply suggest when it comes to the bathroom situation that people continue to use the bathrooms that's a family bathroom or family restroom because anybody can go in those. Nobody's looking at what you look like when you walk in there. Especially when only one person can go ahead and use that bathroom. When the women's bathroom was completely full and I was definitely not able to take advantage of that awkward time where a female has to use a men's bathroom because she has to go to the bathroom, and the family bathroom was there an available I went right ahead and I used it. So therefore using a bathroom that says family restroom is definitely more sensible than having to fight whether to go to the men's or women's bathroom if your trans or if you're a gay person who happens to look like the opposite sex. Again this really stems from people's safety. If we want to make it very easy for us to decipher who's really going into the bathroom just to go to the bathroom and not be a pervert then these are the things that we have to consider. So yes safety is the main key here, followed by being reasonable, and using good common sense.
