I swear grandmaster is good in destroy, the mindgames it can cause is insane
Grandmaster was always good.
People are dumb and want easy combos, and somehow grandmaster is too complicated for people...
I've been playing the grandmaster blink destroy deck and it's insanely good
â@@Glickstick im gonna need that list, homie
@@jc_wessonsearch yasui on this channel there was a video
He is, I've definitely tested this.
Thanks for all of your work Glazer!
Congrats on making through the hectic end of year madness! As a teacher, I can relate. Stoked for the summer break. For underrated cards, don't know if this counts, but I have been loving Galactus lately. I'm playing the crazy list with destroyer and Ultron, with a couple swaps.
Just watched Thursday video. Glad you got everything done, enjoy summer!
I think it's Howard the Duck. He lets you play your combo pieces proactively, so you don't need to have all your combo cards in hand if you know what you'll draw next. He's amazing with Iron Lad and Jubilee. He's a cube stealer for one-trick pony combo-oriented decks (Shuri -> Nimrod + destroy cards on top) and a cube saver for the same type of decks.
You canât keep getting away with delivering quality videos every day â€
I can try!!
I'm not great at deck building or theorycrafting (which is why I love your videos so much!), but the card I wish had more homes is Rhino. He unfortunately sits in a spot that's dominated by other cards with similar effects, but I think there's the potential for unique use cases and disruption - I just think he'd need to get away from the crowded field of "3-cost cards that change locations" to distinguish himself.
thanks for the hard work as always
Bad card question - Master Mold. I don't think he's bad. People trash him online but I really enjoy him. I like robots, I like the animation, and before I got him, whenever I went against him, and being stuck with sentinels in my hand the rest of the game, it was kind of overwhelming. I like putting him in a deck with other cards that just mess up peoples' hands/draws. Like black widow, rockslide, white widow, grandmaster, absorbing man, Ronan, etc.
Mold great on curve for the disruption.
Haven't seen a lot of Viper these days but it's been great in that Electro/Prof X deck you share a while back. Now that Sandman is no longer on-going, tossing Electro is the only way to mess with people's ability to play cards. War Machine in that deck is also quite clutch
Okay hear me out, Yellowjacket in a Anni+mysterio mockingbird + Debrii deck. The latter 4 are part of a meta deck already. One of the problems you run into with the Anni plan is that opponents tend to fill locations where your void or hood are, but Yellowjacket gives a surprise way to cap opponent locations by Yellowjacking a rock or mysterio clone and sending them over with Anni on the same turn.
This but I'm also playing supergiant. It's been doing really big cube wins for me, yellowjacket+anni hidden, then mockingbird + sentry and they never see it coming. I also really enjoyed supergiant sometimes blocking my opponent's turn 5 plays. I think it's a strong tech card in this list even without the ronan stuff from previous builds.
Also forgot to say; sage is good behind supergiant, and sersi as well if you play her
Thanks for answering my Doctor Who question. My favorite Doctor is also Tennent. I grew up watching Tom Baker on PBS channel 13 in NY. The 4th Doctor will always have a place in my heart and around my neck (scarf) My vote is for Viper. She can cripple opponents by sending over an electro or havok.
Grand Master has brought me some of the funnest moments and craziest wins.
Legion is one of the slept on card I like it in the current meta when everyone opponent usually fill their side and use legion on location that gives monster on each side nice way to steal cube also the squirrel adding location
I ran Howard in a Spectrum deck and really liked him as a 1 drop. Made iron lad so much more effective for me!
Youâre a good guy, Glazer. I hope your summer rewards you.
Baron Mordo used it in my my infinite deck in may. Although you don't see what it hits you know it impacts when your opponent constantly retreats. As a bonus GM was also in the deck. Underated card
Current Zabu aka bad Zabu.
Cruised to infinite early this season with Black Knight War Machine.
The combo below was another alternative mini combo for the deck of clunky draws.
T5 Hope + Zabu
T6 Blade Rider Cull(other 4 drop)
Full list.
Black Knight
Blade
Armor
Zabu
Hope Summers
Lady Sif
Ghost Rider
War Machine
Cull Obsidian
Sasquatch
Skaar
Infinaut
Notes.
âąarmor is the flex spot
âąSasquatch allows you to slowly play your clunky hands one card at a time while prepping lady Sif or blade to top deck into Infinaut without Sasquatch being a 6 drop to take away your infinaut glory / ceiling combo
âąshe hulk and sunspot could work with this mind set as an alternative to Sasquatch but there are a lot of Killmonger right now so I found this more simple idea which worked great.
âąt3 hope t4 war t5 naut as a super basic combo is snappable and can solo some games without the black knight ghost rider combo options available
âąthis deck needs to be updated tech wise for the current format. Maybe enchantress would be best somewhere.
âąjust learn the little 2-4 card combos and do your best to recognize hat future options you have for your next two turns of top decks. Play for your win cons and youâll have a ton of âheart of the cardâ moments. Retreat for 1 a ton and win a large amount of 4 cubers.
My infinite run had me around a 70% win percentage cruising to infinite in the cannon ball prof x meta.
Negasonic and Cloak are the most underrated pair in this game.
Play them on T5 separately means your opponent will have a hard time playing their final turn cards on 2 lanes.
They are my favorite combo and Iâm shocked that no content creator or top leaderboard trying it.
Grandmaster is actually a good card that people for some reason hate. He adds so much value to any deck with small on reveal abilities like iceman, hood, falcon, beast, widow.
i like yellowjacket in clog decks, you can turn mysterio clones and debrii rocks into -1 and send them over with anni, which catches people off guard. unfortunately, you usually have to do that on turn 5, so it typically results in 2 cube retreats for me, but a win is a win!
Black Swan steals cubes in the Nakia, hit monkey deck. Gives Martyr a great home too.
I love playing Mirage. Nothing better than getting a better version of one of your opponent's cards.
I think Gambit is crazy underrated the discard requirement is basically an upside and the ability to destroy a card is so valuable especially against decks that are trying to play one card a turn. I have a Wong Ravonna discard list where you can either blow up their board or discard so many cards that your Morbius/Miek can solo a lane and then you have Dracula mind games. There's so much synergy with Ravonna you can Wong on 4 and mystique plus gambit on 5 then play a giant Apoc and a lot of times your opponent has no idea what's happening so they'll red guardian Morbius and have no answer for Wong
Not long ago, it might have been White Tiger or Wolfsbane but they have had a resurgence. Once Arishem comes out I could see Uatu going in a meta deck.
I think people are sleeping on America Chavez in general but especially in new zoo decks. As a 1 cost card she slots in basically any turn, the +2 power is good on any card but its especially good for the cards that don't get buffed by Kazar, in most zoo decks since you plan on filling every location there will be very few times where you can't find the space or time to play both Chavez and the buffed card, in games where you don't find/ can't play out Blue Marvel she helps give you an extra green power for Gilgamesh. I just think people aren't giving her enough credit.
I thnik Grand Master is very underrated. As a 2/2 card, it has a great impact on several combos if you know how to use. It doesn't need to be broken to be good, just doubling a good skill at right time, already makes it useful.. like abs man or mystique, nice situational combo
Goose is good with Thena keeping 4-6 drops off her lane and at denying stacked combos soooo underated for so long.
I don't usual run her because I'm chasing meta decks, but I really like throwing Electra in my random decks. Usually decks have one really important 1 cost card (sunspot, nebula, Quinjet, etc.) and Electra is a cheap way to take care of that card while still being able to run your own 1 cost cards. I know she's not great, but I think she's better than most people give her credit for.
Capaldi took time to grow on me, once I understood what his story was about.
The Gilgamesh deck w/ Phastos was actually the only deck that gave me victories after victories to go from 96 to infinite this season. The deck is too strong and people don't know how to handle it!
There's a lot of people using Killmonger but seems that nobody is using Rogue or Enchantress anymore, so Caiera is doing great.
Phastos can be considered unnecessary in the deck, but being able to play 1 costs for free to help fill locations can win a lot of games. I won one particular game at rank 99 because of this! Dazzler needed more power, but Gilgamesh + 1 cost wouldn't do it. With a free 1 cost, I managed to play two 1 costs to fill and get an even more buffed Gilgamesh and Dazzler.
Having a 1 cost Mockinbird with only Shanna without Squirrel Girl in play is also a very good trick to use at turn 6 with a Gilgamesh.
I think Legion is underrated, HE is very good making a 7 turn game into a 6 turn game.
Love the life updates. Have to do a deck based on Jean grey and the fazzer hulk Jean grey deck that was broken a while ago.
For me, the most underrated card recently was clearly Grandmaster. Putting him in a standard destroy deck brought me so many cubes in the past meta and helped me climb in rank. All those zoo players who felt safe after my early Killmonger, only to encounter him a second time. And it was, of course, great fun to escape the opponent's Shadow King or Shang-Chi with Venom, because suddenly heâs not on the left anymore but in the middle (but of course, this deck is not my cook, you already introduced the destroy version with Grandmaster on this awesome channel :) ).
hey Glazer thanks for the video. Imho Deadpool is a great underrated card, I yet need to find the perfect (unpredictable) destroy deck, to make him great again :)). I was using 'big venom' for long now but it is one of the most predictable decks.
Is that a fresh cut? You're looking fresh today!
thanks!
I klike the brigand spec, It reminds me the melee ranger in guild wars 2.
Melapelamazo- Elune
Glazer, thank you for teaching the future...in both Snap and in our country. After last nights debate, we really need to start respecting our teachers and hoping they can help shape our country by teaching our kids the right way.
The idea that we're individuals before community is corrosive to humanity
I think i saw woody playing a combo style deck with m'baku and blink. That's probably the first time i've ever seen m'baku used, where it wasn't just a meme. Not sure how good the deck was, but appreciate the cook.
Yep we talked about it on the podcast last week
I think that Jean Grey is underrated, I had very good success mix in Jean in that KM deck with Mockingbird, Iron Man, Thena etc deck
Dude what the heck is this linsanity move lol omg what a fun looking deck.
Bad/Non-meta cards in good decks is an interesting topic, the ever-changing meta means I feel like most cards get their time in the sun, even if it's a single deck.
In a strange cube stealing way, I want to shout out Mojo. It's not just that he's a "2/8", it's more the positions he can put players in, either you threatening to fill or the opponent filling having to do the maths, something people seem to forget. As it's usually in the Spectrum Ongoing decks there's a lot of potential numbers you can hit and arguably the opponent can just imagine you hit everything but in lower stakes people prefer to guess you don't.
A card I haven't seen get any play for a while which I don't have the current deck for but found great after an OTA is Ghost.
3/5 is solid stats, and in Sera style decks where I want to finish with Shang + something it was a nice guaranteeing passing priority but still winning on board.
I think 2099 is underrated.
I know he isn't great and needs a buff but he is super fun to watch kill a card or put him down on 5 and they panic turn 6 thinking heimdall or something is happening.
Almost at 12k that awesome!!
Question : what benefits do you get when you use snapzone or untapped etc and how do the differ? Of course you can find decks there but is it a good addition to playing the game that players should use
The move deck slappps
Martyr in the context of Dracula/Strong Guy is something that I was playing before all 3 of them received buffs, and still firmly believe each card (but especially Martyr) is overlooked in general. Had a lot of success with a deck built for drawing/utilizing all 12 cards before the Adam Warlock change from 2-0 to 5-4/5-5. It still works moderately well with Crystal, but the one-sided draw was certainly better.
I played a lot of destroyer before the OTA, where I used Warpath, Prof X on a location, Armor on another and killed everything in between.
I think Iceman is one the best and seriously underplayed cards. While you don't get to see what you hit, so many decks have such tight curves that the plus 1 just throws your opponents whole plan off.
I have been using Viper in my Ramp deck if I don't have Blink to cycle Electro...it's been pretty good with Surfer, Thanos and Zoo being everywhere
War Machine is definitely slept on
I think that is Omega Red, i've played it in a deck, and sometimes i've won thanks to this card, it was very powerful but i see that is not played often, have a nice day! đ
Adam Warlock what is this card here for. Maybe it can work in a Strong Guy deck style.
Quake is such a good card that no one plays it's effect on location is controlled by you so you know what will happen and your opponent doesn't. It just won so many games to me that no other card would have done that.
I was going to say Viper might be able to see some play if all the new anti-junk goes away in a new meta but I don't know if that is happening. I could also see Vulture making it into new move decks that want somewhat cheaper cards. 2 moves and it is pretty crazy.
Havok! 3/8 from turn 5 is nuts
Sword Master feels so good to play in that Surfer/Strong Guy/Makkari list. Definitely catches people on turn 6, especially if he gets buffed by Forge or Surfer.
Colossus in a namora deck in the 900s using this I have a 88% winrate with him being played with my season recap can send if needed lol. I was shocked as well lol
Absolutely please do
Substitute for ghost spider in the move deck?
Quake⊠okay, I know itâs not bad, but definitely underrated and steals me wins.
Grandmaster in move (even pre-herc buff) worked pretty well for me
I would guess Black Swan in the Woodward zoo deck (where I replaced Martyr with Nico). Or otherwise Havok in the Gnome Hope/Havok bounce deck. But I guess Black Swan is considered worse than Havok.
Will try the Thanos list tonight.. Decided I could 'waste' one key on this spotlight, since I need Corvus and 1000 tokens is never bad, so had 75% chance for a good roll. Rolled Phastos, so guess I'm happy?
Abs man right now. Theres so many good on reveals right now and theres some space for 4s in a lot of decks now since the zabu nerf
*Echo; maybe besides the Ms marvel meta, I canât tell if it ever was meta, but strongly feel it could be.
What did he whisper about phastos and makkari on Ika List?
Help!! I needed Corvus so I opened this week, and it took me 3 keys to get him. The only thing I missed is Phastos. So, my question, is Phastos worth spending 1 more key?
I'm leaning towards yes, because usually a key is worth a fraction of a card. This key is guaranteed to be worth 6200 tokens, which I think is good value even if the card isn't very good? That said, I'm a couple keys short of hitting my key goal for September. I'd appreciate some advice please!!
Glazer if you whiff on a rogue and she doesn't copy an ability, will Abs man work?
Look at you dressed up fancy after midnight!
I think Black Widow is one that has fallen out of fashion but is still quite strong.
Lol I didn't have time to change
Not sure if it counts as a bad card for the giveaway question, but I've got a Captain Marvel deck that I really like and have decent success with.
Attuma is a card that I think doesnât get enough love. There are deck building considerations e.g you need to play him with armor or zero, but 4-10 is quite good and can easily be played on curve.
Is super giant underrated? I love her in any control deck
I would say Doctor Doom steal quite a bunch of cubes still!
Okay, okay, hear me out. There's this card called Domino and .... what?
But seriously, I think White Queen might be a good candidate for this, but my favorite underrated card to play is Supergiant. I just hesitate to say SG because I've seen SG a few times, whereas seeing White Queen is like seeing a rare Pokemon nowadays.
Echo is underrated when you see them drop setups for living tribunal. Same with negasonic in clog.
And I hope they nerf mockingbird. Uninteresting card for a character I keep forgetting exists.
Thanks for the video!
Out of the cards I own, I think Supergiant is underrated currently! Mostly because a lot of decks rely on a big turn 5.. you should be favored in a lot of matchups as long as you have enough points.
Today's question: There's been a lot of popular video game adaptations recently--people like the Fallout TV series. What video game do you like the best specifically for its universe/setting?
tomorrow!
I think phastos could be buffed if it was just consistent. Make it give -1 cost to your deck, and that be it. People will be able to build around it then.
Angel is my underrated card. In a utopian world he would come to the rescue raining fire and brimstone.
That Is The Wayđ
I believe that a card that hasn't been pplayed a lot, but can be good in the right decks is Omega Red. Combine him with cards like Cannonball or even in the White Widow, Green Goblin, Titania trio and it's a 3 power buff on all other locations. In the right deck it can be great. I just don't have the time to test him, but I think it's one of the best underplayaed cards in the game.
Domino is really good, being slept on alot!
You shared a tribunal PF deck when Herc first came out. What are the odds you still have that somewhere?
Doing a new version of that in Monday's vid
You rock!
Thank you
Quake is underrated in my opinion. Itâs very useful and only you know itâs coming, so a big surprise on turn 6 is killer.
I would say Echo in decks that depends of Wong, everyone forgets that she is on the table and get caugh by her hability đđđ also I think in the early stages of the game (pool 1 and 2) Namor is quite strong, at turn 4 you put 11-power preasure to your opponent is something to consider. And it's a good idea of future card to release, a card that protects alone cards in others lanes, big reinforcement to Namor, Orka and Namora
Dakken, not a whole lot of love thrown his way but I think he has some of the coolest interactions a card can have.
Compared to BK where there is only one way to get value out of his token (discard>play token)
Dakken opens up a lot more flexibility
Maybe you want to slot KM into your discard deck, Dakken allows you to do that.
Maybe you want to throw carnage in your deck due to a whole lot of rocks or voids being thrown at you, play Dakken and slap carnage and his token down, not optimal but fun.
Maybe you want to do some wacky weird wong stuff, again Dakken allows you to do that.
Best bad card: Collossus IN a Namora deck ⊠you drop him in a lane, forget about him, your opponent forgets about him, you buff him right up on turns 5&6 with a Namora/Odin Combo or Namora/AbsMan combo
He canât be moved, destroyed or have power removed. He will be cracked soon and have his day đđœ
my vote is daken. most of the time he ends up 8 power but if you get the rights cards that duplicate his shard he can pop off and get to 30+ power instantly. really fun to see when that happens
You have the beat Marvel snap comment section
I was screwing around with a Mordo deck that also had BLACK Widow, I threw in Selene and Pig, they just have no cards, it's like Zemo mill but 4x more effective and 1/10th the effort to deprive them of cards. I didn't really have the rest of a deck fleshed out but that basic package was winning a lot on its own.
Could Gladiator go in for Sage in the Macdonaldinho Clog deck? If the goal is filling their lanes, Gladiator would be a 3/8 no downside vs Wolfsbane at 3/7 max.
Def!
I think War Machine and Grand Master are generally considered pretty bad, but to me I love throwing them in a deck to surprise opponents. Maybe it's just me coping from getting them, but Grand Master in a DH deck is pretty damn solid.
The Punisher
Some sort of ongoing Spectrum deck??
Grandmaster is mine easy. I have been loving him in bounce. My best line has been black widow on 3, grand master on widow on 4 with beast mid to pickup the widow. 3 consecutive turns not drawing cards
Im a low key fan of havok, and still play him in the Glenn Jones Negative list (although prof x nerfs have hurt it)
I dunno if she's underrated enough but I'm a Pixie fan and I think people don't give her enough love. I still play her in evo and I'm having good results.
underrated card that i love and think is under played is OMEGA RED. Omega and cannon ball is normally enough to win a lane alone, and buffs your other locations.
I honestly think that Hercules is an extremely powerful card that will become a staple in the madame Webb season! I would not be surprised if the cubes average increase after this OTA!
Let's go move!! đ
Im all in on miles stegron and jeff as a package
I donât have mockingbird. Do you think I could replace her with Gilgamesh in the zoo deck?
Worth a try!
The Russian Bear, Red Guardian is a great card that is very disruptive and impactful
OTA was nice :)
Selene came out on my birthday and I am committed to finding her home
Scarlet Witch for sure. It's location control and can win you the game in certain cases. It also only cost 2. We all know what happened during the tournament XD.
