100% true...very powerful voice.
🌹❤️🌹❤️
She looks amazing...woo
Hell yes!
God Bless Yes!
Woww. The voices was still there at that age. Beautiful. Who's listening in 2023.
Even in their later years they still have that magic.... Beautiful people with God given talent
One of the Best duets of the 1980s. RIP James Ingram's.
Hell yes
For sure! I want this as my wedding song.😇🙂🙂🙂🙂
Yes they were
One of the greatest R&B duets of all time!!
I ❤this duet, them, Peabo Bryson,& Michael Macdonald!! This music 🎼 will never die or get old. Today my granddaughter was listening to songs that her father and uncles listened to with me growing up- Never thought I’d live to see this day, My great grandson I’ve turned into a Michael Jackson fan & he won’t shut up. He even like the Big Pay Back by the God Father of Soul, that’s being Blessed.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 4 generations and counting.
Timeless treasure. RIP James Ingram.
Rod Temperton wrote some absolutely killer tracks.... Many people wouldn't even know who he was .... He also wrote Thriller for Michael Jackson.... There you go ... Genius composer who worked with premium vocalists like Patti and James 💙
Yes he did❤
James Ingram is going to be missed by the whole world. His impact in the music industry and to people's lives just by listening to his songs makes the world a better place. Thank you James. We love you. Rest in peace.
So much soul in their voices...RIP James Ingram 💜
Anita Baker and James Ingram did it better.
I can name just a handful of people that still sound and look amazing and here is 2 of them
We seriously didn't hear enough from James Ingram during his lifetime. Incredibly underrated and his talent was under utilized.
Agree 100%
I know he won all the big awards and such but still.....James Ingram is so underrated. One of the greatest voices of our time and an incredible songwriter.
He's far from underrated. There are hundreds of terrific singers who never get 1% of the kudos and exposure that James has received. Ingram has beaten the odds. One hit record is a RARITY in an industry where there is far more talent than jobs.
You missed the point. Also, he had more than one hit record.
MechanicalAnimal Yes! I know exactly what YOU'RE saying, & FTR, I'm a singer, songwriter, actor w/o the work or kudos. James work AFTER "The Dude" = quite incredible indeed. He is The MALE Soul Singer - . Etc etc etc! I GET YOU. ~K
Smooth and sexy wt love
Yeah. He's underrated among the top tier singers.
Priceless performance. RIP James. Lost you too early. Patti Austin will always love your voice.

Sue Lemut, very well said madame. I have always love this Duet from the lovely Ms.Patti Austin and the Dapper man himself RIP to Mr.James Ingram🌹
You said EXACTLY, what I am feeling!
August 1973 -- I was headed into the Air Force and a buddy of mine had a going-away pool party for me. His sister's friend, named Patti, came and belted out a couple of songs a cappella. Strong!! Right near the diving board, lol!!! She wasn't all that well known at the time but I could tell she WOULD be!
Hell of a send-off into the military!!! I stayed 23 years!! How many guys can say "Patti Austin sang at my going-away party!!"??? -- Retired MSgt, USAF.

It gave me goosebumps
He was unquestionably a talented man,but he was a colourist. He preferred the lighter hued negresses
Ms. Patti said F-U to Dear James in this clip.

"Baby, Come to Me" is a classic love ballad written by Rod Temperton (formerly of Heatwave) and sung in duet by Patti Austin and James Ingram.
The original version, performed by Patti Austin and James Ingram (with Michael McDonald contributing background vocals), and produced by Quincy Jones, appears on Austin's 1981 album, Every Home Should Have One. When first released as a single, it charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for just 4 weeks from April 24 through May 15 - peaking at No. 73 on May 8th. It did, however, reach number 11 in the UK.

I can watch this 100 times and never get tired of it. A world-class performance by two of the finest R+B singers that ever were. They are spot-on, WITHOUT the use of auto-tune or any other electronic gimmicks that today's "singers" need to stay on pitch. This is talent - PURE talent, a gift from Almighty God to them - and then to be shared with us.
RIP James, you have made my world a much better place.
