- Well folks, just in case you’ve heard the incorrect reports that I’d left the TV business, I can reassure you that I most certainly have not; I’m just on a three month sabbatical learning all I can about furniture making and design at the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis.
I’m fulfilling a lifetime’s ambition to study here, but come April I’ll be back on the road house hunting with Escape to the country, and I can’t wait!
Look out for more updates this week from my furniture-making and boat-building adventures.
#MakingMakesMeHappy
If I was ever on Escape, I'd want you as my host. There's be a lot of laughing. In the meantime, enjoy the new skill. Always good to add something new to your bag of tricks.
I'm so glad you are not leaving television. We love you in Ohio USA. ❤❤❤❤❤ looking forward to seeing you
I am so happy to hear Jules, watching escape to the Country from South Africa and you are our favorite presenter
Dear Jules, good luck with the furniture making. You obviously have talent. But you are Not Allowed to leave Escape to the Country. Ok.
Cheers from Australia and Good Luck 😊
You’re my favorite Escape to the Country personality ❤
Jules, I’m so glad that you are just taking a TV Break and will be back in April. Enjoy your furniture-making courses. Learning new skills is always very satisfying and new furniture, well worthwhile! I’m 83 and taking a course in AI. Can’t allow it to get the better of me at my age! Love watching Escape to the Country although I’m not planning to return to the UK from CAnada after almost 50 years here! I’ll let you know if I need a “bolt hole”! All good wishes to you!
Enjoy, and I'm glad to hear you will be back full throttle in April. It is always great to learn new skills. I'm thinking the same as I approach my 75th birthday!
Well done Jules, hope to see you soon on EScape to the country 😅
Jules, it's delightful to learn that you are continuing to live your life to the fullest! Thank you for the update and clarification!
Have been enjoying your programmes in Penticton, BC, Canada, happy to know you’ll be back again soon. Don and Judy
It's good to learn new things - I did a massage course at 60, oldest in the class, most in their twenties! Felt good to test myself :)
I successfully completed a one year carpentry course in my mid 60’s and loved it. Top of the class and met a delightful bunch of young men in the process.
Jules...such a hottie!
