Now something goes against Newcastle and Shaka finally criticises a ref, imagine my shock
Specifically after the Liverpool Toulouse game where the goal was reversed 12 touches later after the identical thing happened to a liverpool player and all these exact muppets said it was a handball. What a joke.
@@lostagain7292 Erm, no they didn't. And Stevie Nicol is a Liverpool legend, he was not happy about that Mac Allister handball decision. He did say though that Liverpool played so badly that they didn't deserve to win that game, and as a Liverpool supporter, I agreed with him.
I hate it when muppets like you make up these false allegations, it's pretty disgusting to be honest. Your comment lacks respect, accuracy and honesty.
@@LordHighnessmate there is no such thing as "deserve to win" in football. Thats such BS. You score more than your opponent you win. If you score the same you draw. Simple as that.

Now it's ridiculous and injustice @shaka, right? These pundits are so unbelievable 😅
Same thing happened to martinez vs socieodad. I wonder did the panel feel the same way? Definitely wasn’t a pen
They said something along the lines of "slightly hard done." That's Shaka's favorite. Hypocrisy, but what did you expect from Clown Car FC? 🤡

Newcastle was given a goal after a push on Gabriel in Arsenal game and everyone here was supporting the ref's decision. Let Newcastle face the Music. You shouldn't complain

I expect Howe will cry & the club will release a statement, not.
Get over it! The referee gave the goal and there was no clear and obvious error, so the goal stood. Just because you thought it was a push doesn't mean it was. Plenty of people including many ex pro's thought that Gabriel was not clearly fouled.
@@michaelmckie9164 Howe has nothing to cry about. He should be happy with a point which was more than they deserved.
Mac Allister's goal got cancelled in the exact same circumstances in the Liverpool game against Toulouse. So yeah it's not a new thing that happened yesterday.
Didn't Mac Allister control a ball that was falling onto his chest and then hit his arm? He had lots of time to control it, where as this one seems like the ball was kicked from close range.
@charliegreen4588 it was 5 phases before the goal but they decided to go back which they were not allowed to do

So is no one going to talk about how Newcastle were atrocious?! They got completely dominated.
Football is as much about defence as attack, they had all the possession but couldn't score in open play, does that make PSG poor attacking footballer's or Newcastle great defender's?
@@Luckipete It makes PSG poor at finishing, in that single game. There is nothing great about defending if the opposition is simply missing the chances. If the defending was good, chances wouldn't exist to begin with.
PSG had a xG of 4+ or something. You dont get that vs good defence. Period.
You should also know the context, their key players are injured and they have no subs to rotate the squad with. The fact that psg needed a pen to draw says all bout them
Newcastle has 11 people out. There squad is not that deep and they just played Saturday with the same team and almost not subs.

VAR should be similar to how 3rd umpire has been successfully working for ages in cricket. Offside line checks, Goal line checks should be done by Var (like no ball checks) to eliminate factual errors. For all other cases, the ref decision/linesman decision stands as final till a team challenges the call. There can be 2 reviews for each team. You can take them - you get a positive outcome then review count stays, else you lose a review.
Still doesn't take bad decisions out (or corruption) equation. Use your appeal ref says no I was right play on pay me in Riyal please.
On a cricket match it easy coz you can allow few minutes to pass by, in football you cannot wait that long without risking momentum of the game, unless you do it like rugby you stop the time altogether while reviewing the decision from up stairs
VAR allows for non-transparent effecting the matches to suit an often subconscious narrative. You can more easily influence the outcomes to make a match more melodramatic for example.
I do think bar is worse in PL. But I do think in serie is not bad. They do make mistakes but compared to PL is good
They should reconsider the VAR usage to a similar approach as DRS system in cricket. Give each team 3 chances to have a decision re-reviewed and only then VAR is used

“That’s football”
It's never ever a penalty shocking.
The Hakimi foul was a penalty. The defender has two hands on the player and makes contact with the player's leg and not the ball. That was a penalty. The late penalty is debatable because the ball was heading towards Mbappe when the defender touched the ball. Yes, the touch was accidental, but accidental fouls get called all the time. Marcus Rashford got a red card for accidentally stepping on a player, which I thought was ridiculous. With this penalty, you could argue that Mbappe had a good chance to score when the defender touched the ball. For example, I think a penalty should be given if a ball is heading towards goal and a defendee accidentally touches the ball because he prevents a goal from going in with his hands. And to me, that is the point of a penalty. If the ball is touched on a pass away from goal, play goes on. If a player prevents a potential or obvious goal with his hands and the hands are not tucked into his body, that is a penalty. It does not necessarily have to be a yellow card, which I think is ridiculous as well, especially if the hand was accidental, but you deny a potential or obvious goal with your hands, that should be a penalty.
ADDED TIME 8 M FOR WHAT ??
Gordon foul on Hakimi was a Pen.
This is a case where VAR would benefit from the NFL replay standard of “clear and obvious” evidence to overturn a decision. Called no penalty on field and a review would show too close to call and decision would stand as referee’s original decision of no penalty

VAR should start working like Cricket reviews.

If you finish your reviews, then only the referee can make decisions.
