You can go back to CeCe and she gives you hints as to where the people might be
All you have to do is be a people person. It ain’t hard to locate the adults.
I had everyone but the lady at the farm up on the hill who helps you with Reede's quest
Also, fun tip: if you buy a hood and get it lowered, and then buy a second one, you can have one lowered and one that stays up and alternate between the two.
You actually can't. I've tried this and it applies the status to both/every one I have.
Note for those who are going to say it doesnt work:
Do it in this order exactly, if you buy 2 and ask her to take one down she'll take down both
U buy one hood first talk to her then after that buy a second hood

@@Amins88 it does work but like he said you have to lower your first one and only then buy the second.
I guess the recipe for cheese being forgotten makes sense when you consider the Calamity likely killed MANY people and caused knowledge to go missing. It’s very likely the children didn’t know about the recipe and therefore it got lost to time.
And also cheese is basically rotted milk. (well, coagulated) Like, you put vinegar in it and let it sit for ages. This is not the most easily discovered food.
Well, I guess people worked it out thousands of years ago, but it's the sort of thing where you accidentally leave it in what modern people would call an unhygenic place, and the result is surprisingly edible.
Kinda spoiler, but the quests explain that while the cheese was unique and tasty it didn't manage to become popular the first time, which is why it wasn't produced in scale and the recipe got stored and eventually forgotten.
Ya, but this story is supposedly only 5 years later. And in every town pretty much all the same people are alive in the village and most seem to forget who you are because you have a green arm now.
I got stuck with ONE PERSON it was the person that goes to the lab with cuccos, because I just didn't consider them to be a villager for some reason
It also wouldn't be whipped up in a kitchen in an afternoon, but okay.
There's another headgear item, a hair tie that mimics Link's ponytail from the previous game, in a well next to Link's old Hateno house. I think it's called Zelda's Well, so you can go down and find Zelda's diary and a chest with the hair tie. Sadly, this provides 0 defense, but it's a nice option to tie back Link's long hair.
Also the jewelry items use the same ponytail as the dedicated hair tie

I use that all the time. It reminds me a lot of BOTW, and I love using it when exploring.
Fun fact, in the milk pasture, there is a pizza recipe. It is good for around 5-12 hearts, depending on the ratio of tomato to cheese

@@gabopr1365 Pizza recipe is for real. Hearts recovered can actually be increased by adding meat to the base recipe, which is "Hylian Tomato", "Tabantha Wheat", and "Hateno Cheese". Best option is the "Raw Gourmet Meat", with two being added. For best result, attempt cooking on a night where the Blood Moon appears between 11:30 PM and 12:00 AM to guarantee the game's "critical cook" which is usually random.
I started this chain of quests a little early in my play through and I was broke and the Cece hat was my strongest piece of headwear for a good while haha!
I never knew people cared about armor strenght I thought everyone just dodged the attacks
I did this before any of the regional phenomenon. Stayed fabulous while slaying giant monsters

They actually explain why these didn't make cheese until now if ya read the dialogue. Koyin's Great Grandfather tried making cheese in the past, but at the time, no one liked it, so it wasn't popular enough to be worth producing. The only reason Mayor Reede has even a vague memory of the taste of cheese is because his grandfather (might have been his great grandfather, can't remember for certain) gave him the chance to try a bit of it when he was very young (presumably just before it was discontinued entirely).
Little pro tip for hood-lovers; buy one & have her put the hood down, then buy another, & that hood will stay up.
That way you can switch between hood up & hood down without talking to her each time.
Perfect for roleplayers that want to switch in rainy conditions.

Thanks for this. Tbh the moment I started this quest line, I hated it because I didn’t want Cece’s awful crap to take over the town. So now knowing that she doesn’t win makes me want to actually finish this quest line now.
I have to wonder how many little secrets there are like that in TotK. I'd probably have never found the hood down thing myself.
Same, I completed all these quests, but had no idea about the hood until I saw the title of this video!
Cece's Hat has gotta be the most fabulous thing my boy Link has ever wore
I really wish it could be upgraded. And that it had a matching set of armor to go with it. For someone who claims to value coordination, Cece really could have come up with a whole ensemble.

You should definitely do a guide on where to find and potentially Farm ancient blades AKA ancient arrows. I've only found one in the game so far in one of these stable Wells so I had to duplicate it to make more. They are stronger than gibdo bones but outright erase the enemy from existence without dropping their loot just works as a stronger give do bone though for bosses
There could be a better way to get them, but there’s an npc that’ll trade you 1 ancient blade for every 50 zonaite you give them
@@luigi9237 I really wish they would have kept the ancient weapons in the game and simply give them a unique functionality different to that of the current zonai weapons. Although I am glad they at least kept the arrowheads in the game

There is a way to buy them with zonaite late in the main story. Spoilers ahead
After getting the fifth sage and completing the spirit temple you can at any point go back to the spirit temple and there will be 2 constructs beside the 5th sage. One of those sells ancient blades for zonaite (or for something else. But he definitely sells them)
They're just ancient arrows but can be fused to any weapon, arrow, or even thrown while keeping the effect.
for anyone wondering if you go into your old house which has now been repurposed by Zelda. If you're go into her well she for some reason has your old hair band which means you can get your old hairstyle from the original game.
Meanwhile when I did this quest I didn’t see the window you’re supposed to sneak into. I used ascend from below, catching Cece in the act. She got surprised and then angry. It was funny though!

I just shot an ice arrow into water once and fused the ice to a spear and keep that on hand for easy water platforms whenever I need. Made the message in a bottle bit quick and easy and I don't ever have to use wings. I guess it's a matter of weighing if giving up an inventory slot for this or keeping an abundance of wings on hand is more your style

I legit hoped they had cheese in this game when I saw hylian tomatoes, and it took me until recently to find it, because I didn't know how to do Reede's secret (and I'm rubbish at stealth), but now my life is fulfilled knowing that cheese is in the game.

@@jackal0p Ah, yes. The "pizza" recipe. First learned of it through a CZcams video, which I first thought was one of those fakes that pop up once in awhile. Was flabbergasted when I found out the recipe was legit. Also prompted someone else to make a "Tier list video" about characters on the Smash Bros Ultimate Roster who've canonically eaten pizza. Link got placed in a unique category called "C.E.O. of Pizza". Recommend seeing video for yourselves for the rest.
The voices austin gives cece and reede elevated the video to a new level of enjoyable.

Since there are tomatoes in this game, the very first thing I did when I got the cheese was to see if it was possible to make pizza. And--it is. Tomato, Hateno cheese, and wheat. Unfortunately I haven't been able to add anything else (i.e. for "toppings"/buffs) without it turning into something else entirely (meat seems to work, but nothing that has an actual effect), so it's just a base heart regen food.
Apparently you can add Spicy Peppers for a "cold resistance" effect or throw in a couple Dark Clumps that the Gloom Spawns/Phantom Ganon drop upon defeat for a Gloom Resistance effect. The latter appears as a number of "light-blue hearts" that can protect your Heart Containers. The amount of hearts that can be recovered can also be increased by throwing in meat, with Raw Gourmet Meat having the highest amount, especially when prepared during the Blood Moon events.

I already did this series of questlines, but who knew all you had to do to get your hood lowered was to speak to Cece while wearing the hood after completing it. Geez!

I completely brute-forced the tailing Cece sidequest. Having already done the Reede sidequest, I spent about a day and a half of game time in the Hateno wells trying to find the perfect spot to ascend into the silo, only to see that there was a window and ledge after the fact.
