Nobody rivals chumlee.
I love how much Chum is always thinking about Rick like a son would a father. You can tell he holds him in a high regard. I enjoy their chemistry a lot.
I feel like the Old man had a Soft spot for Chum.
Corey and chum are childhood best friends. Old man and Rick considered chum as part of their family.
@@ymprogenius I know. It reminds me of my dad and a few of my close buddies. I realized at my dad's funeral how much my friends looked at him as their father as well. That's why their relationship always makes me smile. Chum looks out for Rick more than Corey, lol.
they probably as good as family
His Father died young at 54. So he likely gravitated towards Corey's Father as a surrogate Father being Corey was his best childhood friend and he was at their home a lot. I grew up with out a Father as a teen and young adult also. I got a lot of advise from one older man whom I befriended at work that had sons just a little younger than me. We were work buddies and eventually drinking buddies after work etc. Similar relationship. I can relate.
If I had a nickel for every time Chumlee bought a flamethrower,I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Chumlee is my favourite pawn star. He's very respectful toward their clients, sensible and playful. Besides being a businessman, he also understands other people's problems and sentiments.
There was an episode where Rick was analyzing something and Chumlee came in with some in-depth knowledge of the item in question. Rick even said, "I don't know if Chumlee ate his Wheaties this morning, but he is making me a LOT of money here!"
I want to see that episode, where Rick sees Chumlee be a solid asset to the store.
@@karazor-el6085 Can you tell me which episode was that ?
@@karazor-el6085 I know in one episode some guy came in with I think it was the "Back to the future" Self tying Nike shoes? And Rick knew nothing about them, but Chum knew all about them, because they're shoes and shoes are Chum's area. Not sure if they're able to make a deal, because I think they were fake? But, it's been forever since I seen the episode lol.

It always amazes me how much chum lee actually knows about random things. For someone that is labelled by the show as dumb, he actually is quite intelligent.
Knowing facts does not make one intelligent. Chum is an interesting breed.

Teen-birth
When the children are grown, teen pregnancy suddenly becomes pride-worthy. In a way it is, since she didnt screw up motherhood being a teen. Ik like something be worth 100k and Rick says best i can do is 10k🤦♂️
He always gives a really bad price at first but he will always go higher if the seller asks because he is a bad negotiator. Rick always offers a price in the ballpark of what he is willing to pay, chum always lowballs and then pays too much anyway.
I agree.. I've worked with a few people like Chum and it makes the day go a lot quicker aswell as making the work day seem not so daunting.
That's was so sweet of chum, surprises Rick of the clock made up of corkscrew as a gift. How thoughtful, and I like him he is so respectful towards the clients.
I just love how Chumlee was like "you paid 1400 for it". This man is too likable to get mad at
I love that Chumlee got that clock made for Rick’s bar. What a thoughtful gift!
🤦♂️
I like how they ask if they can call their buddy. Imagine if the customer said no lmao
Then no deal buddy
There’s been couple of episode when that actually happened
I think it’s more polite because they’re asking if they’re happy to wait for them to get there
Rick: Do you mind if I have buddy come in and take a look at this?
Customer: Yes I do
Rick: Ok Chum go grab some rope and a shovel I'll be in the van
one guy got testy... then backed out of the deal with cash on the counter
I like whenever Chum can flex a little. There’s clearly certain sales he feels more comfortable with and you can tell when he knows about the item. It’s fun to watch.
I love how they combine “This means allot to me” and “i want to sell it because I need to get rid of it”
19:08 still cracks me up, he bought it whith company money and then tries to buy it for less. :')
Obviously a scripted moment.
He trys to out play the system
Yep; jokes are funny.
"It's worth no less than 24 hundred"
"I'll give you 500 bucks."
It's a trick to start real low. It makes the guy have to try harder to get more.
@@iTzYoMasterXX yup, thats why people who are selling have to put the price 4x higher so the lowest price will be pretty high
It’s make no sense why the custie would get mad lmao like they the one that went to the store to get money and the pawn shop isn’t going to pay full price or they would lose money on everything so they obv gonna pay half the amount or a cut of it so they can re sell it n make money people are jus greedy n dumb

@Garrett Meador the deal was si good you had to accept it twice
"This is one of the few times I have no idea what this could be worth" calls an expert on 90% of the deals
Lol well they do have a general idea on the range of a lot of things, but not as much the specifics of what places an item at a certain point in that scale. Grading items can be weird and sometimes depend more on the others available then how they actually look, like if an item is in objectively bad shape, but all or most of the others still in circulation are also, it could still be at the higher end of prices.
Wow, Chumlee gave that lady a really fair price and he was so nice about it.
I'd imagine Rick would have kept it at $ 1,100 or something.
7:00 this was actually the best deal I've ever seen made on this show. From 250$ to 240$ that was great! Atleast chum didn't offer half the price of what she asked.
