“I’m happy he’s gonna call Rebecca again”
So are we Adam. So are we.

He probably should have bought the enigma machine, lol

Down terribly
I'm stealing that one 😉
“Its a great number, don’t even bother calling her”

yeah Joey Logano is pretty smart
Yea but i still want to see Her .
Phone call cost him 4,500$. Lol yikes!

That guy should start paying Rebecca for lower valuations.
“You would be under British taxation if it weren’t for this book”
What a great line
We'd all be speaking English if it weren't for this book
I love how Rick wants to get the book at a price he can make money off, and then says “I might keep this for myself.” Lol.
But the Americans are English and still are English

Weird how he instantly knows so much about things he's doesn't even recognize; almost like he's reading it off a TELEPROMPTER or something LOL.

I love it when the expert tells them it's not worth as much as they want to sell it for, but the seller still tries to sell it for more than the actual worth.

For that price he is not going to get it at a pawn shop
@@bostonbluecollarstiff8167 yeah the Enugma guy is a fool. He added the value of his over inflated ego to the price of an old typewriter.

This made me laugh
Person in distress: "Rick, call 911 I have an emergency"

Rick will charge you to use the phone to call 911 yourself. He wont assume any risk for thst type of money
He takes all the risk

I love how rick never age he looks exactly the same since the show started lol
However, you never know when you will get fat or skinny Chumlee or Corey.
Hard to age when you’re doing something you love.... and you’re rich lol
money can buy youth.. metaphorically and literally.
If you go bald at a young age you will look 40 in your twenties and the same when you hit 60.
No if you look at the older espisodes, rick looks younger
There is something about this show that reduces my anxiety.
They should do episodes that show the entire process of pawning, and taking the item to auction to see how much they actually get for it
"Next time you bring me a book, you gotta give me a better deal" as if he didnt fleece him 5 grand lol
That's nothing to what other pawn shops offer for stuff. They'll straight up tell you "I'll give you 30% of what it's worth" here in Texas.

Rick is literally wearing the Viking gold bracelet!
Pawner Logic: this item has been in my family for hundreds of years and was given to me by my grandfather. I'm looking to sell it for a hundred bucks so I can buy some new earpods...
I mean, if their grandfather wasn't a great guy, or if the grandchild selling the items doesn't care much for history, or at least the part that the item is related to, then sure, why not get rid of something taking up space in your house in exchange for funds that can be used on something they care about? I don't get who you people are that think everyone on the planet has a perfect relationship with their family, or that an inanimate object has more value than the cash it's worth, which could actually help them out of a bad financial situation. It's not like they can't just take some nice photos of the item to prove to people in the future that their story about how their grandparents passed down this interesting item to them.

I miss the old man. Rick, Corey and chum must have been devastated when they lost him. He was so cool, his dry sense of humor and the jowels. One of a kind
At least he lived a long, prosperous life. Also was still alive to see his grandsons get sober
@@frjcde9392 sober?
you know it's just Corey's and Chum's characters for tv? They make story lines by acting like that. It's the same thing when the old man died, he wasn't grumpy at all but they made this tv show more interesting by making him the grumpy old man. They actually changed Chum's character after this and made him more smart. If you've checked newer episodes and not these old ones.
22:15, guy made a phenomenal decision to not have to pack it all back home and Rick got a little sweet piece of history! Two thumbs up 👍🏻 lol
I have fdr footage 1882 to 1945
Corey: I don't think you have enough film there for that much . That's 60 years of film. Lol

29:40 I was not expecting the Forged in Fire host to show up😂
Yes! I found the Forged in Fire comment
I was waiting for him to say, while pointing with both hands: _...and the three hours start: Now!_
I was looking for a comment about him.
That’s how you know most of the show is setup.
Thank you for this comment
I always find book hunter Adam and expert Rebecca really knowledgeable and interesting. The duo would make an interesting spin off series I feel.
I love it when you can see exact moment people realize they're not going to get as much as they expected for it.
Only when they're asking an unrealistic amount. The ones with fake "family heirlooms handed down through THREE entire generations" are sad. One time a woman brought in Great Aunt Millie's antique spinning wheel with "Made In Japan" branded on it. No one in the family had ever noticed. OMG! But maybe they weren't doing much spinning.
Sometimes, like in this episode, you cant blame them. Rick really dropped the ball on the rifle and the enigma machine. Google how much theyre worth now.
Wil: "Nothing like having a baby slick head for 4 years makes you think that uh, hair is kind of nice."
*cuts to Rick's shiny dome*
“Let me get Rebecca down here”....every man watching starts a slow dramatic clap as they start to crack a smile

When I see a book, I crack a smile in anticipation for the comments regarding Rebecca .

And then there are times where Rick offers more than what the seller is asking for and sometimes it’s by a wide margin

They dont though, it is editing, one guy waited 3 hours. This guy may have waited an hour or more. Your comment is silly lool but I think you knew this and joked, so im the sucker! haha
Some people wait weeks to see there experts a CZcamsr did a video on it where he had some rare books and he had to wait over a week
Almost like the producer knows what items are going to be brought in and so he has the right ones standing by with laptops in their hands LOL.
They have people walk the line to see what people have. Anything cool, they have them come back on X day. Then they have time to research the items and have experts at the ready.
As a Native American (Anishnawbek) I'm glad Rick clarified it was a massacre at Wounded Knee.
Yes, that doesn't get nearly enough recognition, and kudos for the program in telling that part.

Von Stuben and his little blue book was the first close order drill manual for the US army but, the general rank was nothing but an affectation. Von Stuben was a Captain in the Prussian ranks and he was hyped to his prospective employers at the inflated rank as they thought he would not be taken seriously at the lower rank. It was PR basically
the revolutionary book completed my day..
"This would be hard to sell. I'll give you 10k."

She's over rated anyhow but I must admit, her family is very well off. But looks wise, there is women like her in every city that is available and not married so I do not get why all these guys are desperate when all they need to do is go out on the town periodically.

The Marines are a division of the USN. That’s why USN was stenciled on the jacket. The old man and Rick should have both known that.

The old man mentions that the hellhawks were a part of the U.S. Army Air Corps. My dad was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II and then some. He started out trying to be a pilot but he couldn't land the plane very well due to an eye condition he had.
