I love when they get items restored, such beautiful artwork.
If I had heard 3000 restored I would have walked out with out and took it to get restored. Then sold it if I had to borrow the grand to restore it, No way I would have sold that 1700's piece for 200.
yes that was a ripoff. Normally they don't ripoff at pawn stars but this was ridicilous.
The young lad was not the 'sharpest pencil in the box' there was he............
3:30 he tells him he could get 3k in front of the dude but after it’s finished and just him and Rick, he says at least $5k. This is why I don’t trust these “so called experts” because they only look out for the pawn
Not the experts fault. Kid should’ve just invested in getting the gun fixed himself then sold it. Would’ve net between $2000 to $4000 if he had. He was literally standing right there when the expert said all that stuff. Could’ve just asked the expert right then and there to restore it for him.
I WOULDN'T WORRY ABOUT IT TOO MUCH SINCE ITS A PUT ON SCRIPTED T.V. SHOW.
Rih-PAWF Rick, no class, this guy.
They should call this, "Best customer fleecing!"
U know. Nobody held a gun to their heads to accept what they got.
@@jj204 This
They didn't even force them to come into the shop
This is pure gold! 🌟 Love it!
Watched an episode this weekend where a guy ( who was actually Ron Dale) sold Rick a coke machine that was "in his family " for decades. Rick then had Rick Dale (Ron's brother) from Rick's Restorations restore it. What a crock!!!
Rick from Rick's restoration was honestly the best cause he got his own show and I watched every episode of that as a kid
He is the reason why i want a wife like that
That was a good show that's one place were is love to work at that would be one of my dream jobs
in fact, if you look at that vending machine, the coin slot that he "pounded out and polished" isn't the same piece. lol
Yeah Rick's restoration show....didn't last long tho.
The funniest part is Chum getting a gold grill actually turned out to be an investment at the same time as gold value skyrocketed after 🤣
True but don't forget the dental bill. Better off stacking silver like the Old Man. But you know Chumlee
Besides the tambourine rick can really play the heck out of the skin flute lol 😂😂😂
Probably a lot better on the skin flute.
Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
KEK is love. KEK is life.
Top KEK!!!
The first gun guy should have paid Alex $1,000 dollars to have his gun restored, then he would have a gun worth 3 - 5K.
Yup exactly. Dude screwed up big time. Literally just had to be like “man I’ll pay you to fix this up for me”
They robbed that kid for the flintlock. That’s crazy. They gave the kid 200$, restored for 1000$ and sold it for 5k$ 3800$ profit and the kid got 200$
$200 on a gamble think Abit dummy
It's scripted relax
He takes all the risk lmao
The fact "The kid' sold something his dad passed down for $200 after starting at only $500 is even worse 😂
You're the dummy they knew it could be restored that's why the expert didn't say it doesn't make sense to buy it he said he could probably get about 3000 if restored then at the gun site said 5000 they took advantage of the young man
they did that boy dirty with the gun at the start 🤣
Lesson learned, NEVER bring anything of value to a pawn shop.
They do everyone dirty at all pawn shops, but they get furious when you lowball them when making an offer to purchase. I am speaking from experience and I can tell you most pawn shops will not sell you a Gibson Les Paul for $200, however that's what they will offer you if you're selling though. Fuck them...
$200 when it's $1000 to restore and worth at least $5000 I would of walk out and went to a place that can restore guns lol
They should have gave the dude more $$. The Pickers guys did that, they bought 1930s Circus posters that got appraised way more than they thought and gave the dude seriously more $$.
Right... my man said 3000 in the store and then 5k to Rick out on the range! Just shows how much a rip off and reality show it really is! Lmao
@@kylelittle8816he said it could be worth 3k once restored, it could also have been worth far less after restoration. He then said "IF" it fires correctly it would be worth 5k.
What if after restoration it was only worth 1k?
"I even got dark chocolate for old man like you" 😂😂😂
These aren't fortunes. You tell us what they sold for like in none of the cases. This is exactly like the official pawn stars channel. Good job 👍🏻
Good chance they sold for what the expert said it would sell for.
Flintlock, 5000, paid 200, spent 1000 on restoration
Helmet, 4000, paid 500
I love how with the 1700’s gun the guy comes in and says if restored it could be worth 3000. After they restore it he says it’s easily worth 5000. With the Pawn Stars tax he probably sold it for 6500. What a robbery
You beat me to it. I always wondered if the so called experts ever give a low evaluation to get a better deal for the shop, then the shop gives them a cut after the sale. This clip produced the proof!
I would have cut Rick out and paid the guy to restore it
@@jeneenr33 the female that they know that checks out old and rare books for them has done this a few times too. The only “experts” I’ve seen on the show who seem honest is the old guy with the beard that does other things with the discovery channel, the bald guy that owns the toy shop close by, and Danny from counts customs
Why Do People Sell Such Valuble Things So Easly? (ok I'll take $200.00) Ends Up Valued At $6000.00!!
@@jerryparisi2885 Im starting to think he just wanted to be on tv i refuse people can actually be that dumb. He just heard the price idk A single person who won’t go higher in price, but he went less than half of the price he was asking for and that price was less than 10 times the amount of the price it’s worth..no one is that dumb this is television.
Reseller has a high risk business. Restoration cost, overhead, tax, delay selling, useless things, etc. That's the business price. Maybe profit, maybe loss. Good job.
Why they got to rob the guy and only give them $200 they know they had gold there, they tell the kid he can get 3 grand for it restored then they say oh we can get 5 grand for this it's a one in a million find smh
they didn't "know" up front with all that ridiculous paint job covering everything important.
Wow, it's great how you sound every single reveal in the show. Do you have a movie review channel? 😂
Chumlee is a multi-millionaire. That thousand dollar bonus is chump change for him.
Ashtray coins
Ric is a rip off artist tbf..
Jeezus that gun max 3k.. he values it at and couple weeks lzter its suddenly at least 5k? Gave the poor kid 200 bucks for it ..
agreed.... not cool.
they dont care, they have a business to run lol. thats how they play that game
The poor kid that didn't move a milimeter to do a reasearch about its value and cost of repairing it.
man you all robbed the dude for the flintlock pistol
They rob a lot of people. And Rick's 'cheerfulness without humor laugh' wreaks of smoking.. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.
One thing about this show.. These guys are sharing knowledge and research for the rest of us.. Sure the show is edited and things are researched before and probably even the haggle and price are agreed on but still allot of neat , cool, stuff!!
That's why its on the History channel. This is one of the shows people like to poke fun at for being on the history channel but in reality your getting a lot of historical information from every object on the show.
Totally agree, Rick!
Watched this show for so many years. I watched these people age over the decades
pawn stars gun expert in front of the customer : "restored and in good condition, it will be worth at least 3000$"
pawn stars gun expert NOT in front of the customer : "and remember, if it fires correctly you can get at least 5000$"
I’m really glad the Prince Tambourine guy didn’t cave in. Five years down the line, it’ll be worth even more than 10 grand. The Flintlock dude was pretty much robbed in broad daylight lol
I remember those candy machines. I bought the first candy that I ever bought from it. It was a pack of Rollos!
You can roll a Rollo to your friend, it's chocolate covered caramel from end to end. There you go buuu-ddy...🍬🍬
Whenever Rick has a expert come evaluate a item he always says they're a buddy of his. It's much more likely these "buddies" are expecting to be paid for their time.
The student has become the teacher ( Chumlee talking about the WW1 helmet) lol
When Ric is laughing everyone silent 😂😂
Love the show but why is there a narrator? It's better without the narration.
I would of got my gun restored then sold the seller ain’t to smart 😂
Just driving around buying whatever he wants everything has a price 😏😏
I love how they scammed the dude out of his 3000$ gun for what 150 of 200? That’s crazy dude acted liek it wasn’t gonna be profitable knowing it would be
They took all the risk if it didn’t fire he was out 1200, the dude didn’t have to sell it
That flintlock I woulda taken home and cleaned up my self for 200$ 🤦
Why didn't the guy with the flint lock give the restorer 1000 bucks and then sell it for 3 grand?
He probably didn't have $1000. I felt bad for that guy.
@@ryandegrave8978could’ve saved up. Selling it at 3 grand wouldve doubled the investment of $1000. Instead he chose for a simple $200 which won’t even last him a month.
why doesn't the seller pay to restore the gun and then sell it?
I think Hershey’s ought to come out with a candy bar and call it “Chum Bar” but it would have to be a delicious candy bar, chocolate of course along with I’d say raspberry and a creamy filling with macadamia nuts 😋
In front of the kid with flintlock “restored you can get 3,000 Rick...” then in front of Rick at shooting range after resto job “like I said Rick you can get 5,000 easily for this...” and the kid got 200$
Stoner candy machine 😂
8,000 dollars ? nope, ric says 50 bucks tops, not a penny more.
Damn, the guy with a gun. He could’ve just approached alex directly and have him restore it for a grand then go back to rick and sell it or online. 🤦🏽♂️
So he gave him $200 and could sell it for $5000. And Rick cries i don't know what i am getting in to again.
He uses that same excuse on everything he buys.
Holy cholula!! 😂
That guy with the gun sure doesn't have a good head on his shoulders. I would have quickly handed the gun to the guy and given in him the $1000 to restore it...and THEN come back to the pawn shop.
Stoner vending machine?
I could see that being in a dispensary.😂
That dude definitely painted the flintlock himself.
Buys a gun for $200 sells it for at least $5000 so probably like $8000.
Never sell your stuff in a pawn shop lmao.
So this video proves Ricks valuers are paid to give lower approximates than the goods are worth. Old mate said the flintlock was worth $3000 restored then once bought & restored he suddenly values it $2000 after restoration.
Can you tell the experts are on the payroll??. He said max 3k after restoration in the shop, now suddenly its 5k after its been bought and restored, either the expert is rubbish or there is something else going on???
MASSIVE collusion! They always learn whst the seller wants, then disappear to call "the expert", and decide on a proposed price favorable to Rick.
You're not factoring in that Rick took ALL the risk. If it can't be restored properly, he loses. He's not into it for $150, he's into it for $1150.
I am factoring he told the owner it would be worth $3,000 but meant $5,000.
@@danielhoward8354 The extra was because of the markings and engravings that had no possibility of being seen with all that kindergarden paint on it.
The guy mocked that gun knew full well what he had that a bit of paint stripper would fix for a neat $1000 dollars
I miss chum winding the old man up .. they are so opposite from each other
The expert 1st said it would go for 3k...later out in the field, the same expert without any shame, says it would go for 5k! Most probably, why the kid accepted the $200 was due to the amount of $3k the expert said it would go after restoration. Expert without honour nor dignity.
Nah it’s the kid’s own fault. He was standing right there when the guy said “I could fix it for $1000 and you could sell if for at least $3000.” He should’ve realized right there that if he paid that guy to fix it up himself, he would’ve made at least $2000 after selling it. Instead he sold it for $200. He’s the one that screwed up here. He was being hella dumb.
@@RoflCannon6 yup, your argument has valid point..but...maybe the kid didn't have the 1k to get it fixed. If he could get the 1k, maybe by borrowing from someone, he would still need some database of clients to sell it for 3k. If had brought it back to the pawn shop to have it sold for 3k, he'd never get that amount from rick..maybe he would get around 1.5k, so he would actually only score $300 more than $200. That'll be $500 instead of $200 and not forgetting if there's no urgency in getting the amount. Even if the kid had the 1k, he would still need to wait for the restoration to complete, that could take up to few months...so...still, I guess my point on the expert lying with intent to profit is rather true.
I laugh at all the excuses Rick gives of his never ending uphill battle he'll have to sell something in the future. Poor Rick, poor poor Rick.
Chum 85 is a good lawyer.. chum would know 😂
A $5000 deal is one of their BIGGEST deals!?!?! You don't know what you are talking about
Dunno why the heck there’s a commentary, which says exactly what they say, literally 10 seconds later
They lied about restoring..by 2000
the 1700 gun was pure robbery, poor guy.
I’ve been working at a pizzeria for 10 years never got a bonus 🤣
@X-List Good video, but ditch the captions. Your captions have a lot of incorrect spellings!
RICK YOU RIPED HIMMM OFFF THAT TIME REAL BAD..
300 year old gun assumed to be worth $3,000. Dude wants $500. Says it would take $1,000 to restore it, worth atleast $3,000 after that. So spend $1,500 and get atleast $3,000. said “it’s risky” after he hears how much he will get after it’s restored and it’s actual historical…gives $200. His expert “REMEMBER, if it fires correctly it could be $5,000.” Now you know this guy is not worth doing business with even if it was capped at $3,000 after restoration $500 was A fair price being that it’s history it’s A shame it allegedly fell into the hands of someone who didn’t even take the time to look up the history or worth and even after hearing the worth compromised for $200 which he will be using for A “new wardrobe”. This pawn show sucks.
How did the other Rick restore the complex mechanism in that old candy machine for only $4500. I mean unless he came across a doner machine. The amount of custom machining and fabrication would have took weeks.
Should be re-titled how many excuses rick can come up with to screw customers
Ouch
It's a pawn shop you tool
The guy who painted the pistol may have been worried that someone might steal it so he made it ugly, knowing it's worth. It's like a valuable painting hidden behind a cheaper painting.
😂😂😂😂😂
The mfer said 3000 for the gun, what a scam
i mainly watch these for the Gibson Goldtop with the P90's dangling on the wall. please rich reader buy me this guitar for your karma boosting. i drool.
22:50 sounds like he's saying addict, not attic.
This dude rips people off so bad. That’s why he never looks anyone in the eyes when they shake hands.
The guy who sold the bike said he had some legal costs to cover. Did he mean like fines for cycling in the pedestrians precinct? Ironic!
At my local pawn shop, that would have been ‘$20 bucks take it or leave it’
That's a Scams robbed a customer out of $4,800.00,
For $200.00.
Title should be "Pawn Star STEALS that made a fortune" especially the flintlock.
WTF??? What’s that??? A joke???
That’s like driving an ELECTO BUGATTI!!
😂😂😂 Season 1 was great…but this…sh.t
Why cant we see what they sell them for?????????
Bro… poor choice on the flintlock but whatevs.. you made your choice..
Think someone painted it to keep it from being stolen
Rick, I do not know how you lie straight in bed at night and actually go to sleep. It is obvious I could never be a Pawn Broker, I am too honest.
Or too dumb lol
8:18 Is anyone else wondering what that 12yo neighbor girl had to "give" him in exchange for that valuable tambourine?
Wow I didn't know Nick Diaz was a fan of Prince
Of all the things to shoot he picks a mirror 🪞. Dope head!
You say the experts aren't getting kickback
Stoner's love candy
Pawn star better than hardcore pawn
Should give kid the other 300 he asked
For the long barrel gun
yeah i also thought that was unfair trade, the shop turned 250 to 5k , even more with no risk taken, poor guy
I agree he totally ripped him right off
I feel sad for him that poor kid god damn Rick good for nothing
Why did the flintlock need to fire?
Days ago buyt clock from Honoré pons 107 euro. It's worth triple that. But i sell not much.
Look it my bank and you see om right
They did dude with the flintlock wrong bruh he his gun appraisal guy said 3000 then when he fixes it it’s automatic 5000 smh they worked him
Shame on stealing from that first man with the old gun.🤨
So who cleans up all the broken glass from all these test shootings
He could of got it restored for 1k and sell it for 5k but decides to sell it to rick for $200? The poor mans mindset right there
Gold teeth wasn't the worst idea. Gold is nearly $2100 an ounce right now.
Tell me you still do not feel like you ripped the young fellow off. For an outlay of $1200. After restoration, you were told it is worth $5000 - you do the math.
1000 bonus 😗
$300 and he left his goo with chumly
than the guy with the combat helmet gets 500, but can be sold for 5,000, once again
Proof they lie told the guy 3k but now it’s magically 5k
