The small steering wheel and the 3d cockpit in my e208 are perfect. They are a reason to have chosen this car. You just have to set them to the right position and when your get used to them everything else will seem too big for a small car
Having driven an e208 I agree re steering wheel. It felt strange at first, but having it in my lap was not an issue. Steering so light it was so easy to get used to.
As an 208 owner, you are absolutely right.
I dislike the 3D cockpit and its one of the reasons I opted for the Allure, but I do love the small wheel.
All reviews mention that the driver cannot see the dashboard and dials properly. Load of guff. I've been selling and driving Peugeots for nearly 7 years. I am average build, height etc. I have never been bothered by the small steering wheel. They all have to find one negative, so let them all make it this..
Test drove this on the weekend. The steering wheel does obstruct the dials. It isn’t a deal breaker though. Took 10 mins or so to try all combinations of seat and steering wheel adjustment to try and avoid it but still a minor issue
Remember the Hillman Imp - 208 sized car but the steering wheel was huge - with the same problem of viewing the dials , but for taller people. Never keep everyone happy. But love the Lime Green colour. Loved the review as usual Tish, 😀😀🚗🚗.
You're so right Colin, you'll never make everyone happy. Glad you liked the video!!
I like this new color but the design of the previous one was much better.
It could be argued it does look a little busy now. However, I like the new badges!
The old alloy wheels are nicer than the new ones. 😮
Now with an 8 year 160 000km warranty on new e-Peugeots, not just the battery but also the electric motor, charging system, powertrain, and electrical and mechanical components.
Whoa that paint job! I have a 2021 model in Elixir Red which looks lovely. Great little car, smooth, fast, easy to live with, albeit cramped in the back. The problem is the price is still very high for what it is and leasing rates have shot up as residuals have plummeted on these. Saying that, will be a bargain as a used car in 18 months for less than £20K
I like the look of it, great colour in the sun of Spain. Maybe not on a dull evening in the UK? Needs to be seen in the metal.
Like you, Tish, I've tried to get on with the cockpit on Pugs, but its a deal breaker for me, also, what's so wrong about a round steering wheel?
Harris Mann was decades ahead with the Quadratic Allegro wheel...
Its a shame, because they've got their mojo back and they are nice to drive these days.
Another honest well balanced review!
Tienen que gustarte mucho los colores estridentes para ver ese color día tras día como tu auto. Incluso aquí en el sol español 😃
The current Gen e208 already has had a heat pump from the start and colour coded grill, neither of these are new to this facelift
Range sounds correct for the segment still. Different class to mg4 even if price is similar.
Liking the construction worker Green paint!
Hahaha that is the best way to describe it, did you see Batch's review on the Abarth?
@@AutoSocialUK LOL! Those trousers are really something
The mg4 is in the 💩class that nobody wants to be in 😂
Loving your reviews, thank you. I've been testing lots of supermini electric cars I love the Corsa but thought I should drive the E 208, which I did today. That steering wheel is a huge issue for me. I agree you've either got to sit bolt upright or lower the steering wheel too much. For me, the drive felt isolated, it didn't feel as fun as the Corsa. It has a gorgeous cabin, but for my needs a little too luxe. I've decided on the Corsa. Thankfully testing the E208 made my final decision easy.
That’s a really interesting view, I’ve always found the e-208 a little more engine to drive but then again if you’re uncomfortable when driving, you’re never going to enjoy it as much. I see you point about too lux for everyday needs. Enjoy your Corsa, I think it sounds like a good choice!
Cracking car
Love my e208 GT but don't like the depreciation, I bought from new in 2022. Fortunately we buy cars and run them for a long time so the initial hit will be smoothed out over 7 years and we love the car. That said, it is a second car and used only for local motoring (so low mileage) for which it is perfect. I have a 3008 1.6 petrol for longer journeys. Great review Tish.
Are you guys reviewing the gt petrol?
Yes please!
Nice car hope they got the BMS sorted out on this one
I have not had a single problem and over 3 years and counting…
Can you specify which color "your" car had? Is it "poison green", "limegreen" or boring "yellow"?
That car looks great
Thank you for watching
@@AutoSocialUK I'd love it in white
Absolutely love my 208 😁still would choose the petrol versions
So expensive for Peugeots smallest electric hatch - £32,650.00 OTR! You could get a couple-year-old Tesla Model 3 for that!
Great over view! What is the benefit of plug in versus other makes that offer self charging? Also how would you rate this versus the Renault Clio Alpine?
A real shame they replaced the brilliant metallic yellow paintjob with this weird green/yellow mix. It's not ugly but the yellow was so much better imo.
Fabulous 👌 looking ❤
Thanks 🤗
Anyone know if the updated 208 GT will be available for petrol next year (2024)? And also, will faro yellow still be optional?
AFAIK Faro Yellow is gone, Agueda Yellow (this one) replaced it, at least it's no longer showing on the website. The blue and red haven't changed I think, if you like those.
Why didn't Peugeot make a yoke type steering wheel? Would've solved the dash reading issues quite nicely .. can't help feeling that the charging cables are better placed in the front, on top of the engine, feel sure that a suitable space could've been made
It’s on its way 👀
Prefer the old design but like the new paint
Great 👌 small car 🚗 both interior and exterior. But who makes a vehicle with a small steering? Besides that steering problem the vehicle can only accommodate short people because of how small it is. Good 👍 review Tish, loved 💕😘 it.
Yes, a car for short people ;)
I have one - I’m five ten and no problems at all.
A car for short people. F off 😂😂. It’s no shorter than most cars out there.
Mine has an electric drivers seat adjustment I am 6 foot 3 and have plenty of leg and head room in the front , I am squashed up if sitting in the back . Maybe it is just the manual seats that have a lack of adjustment for tall people ?
Highlighter yellow just works. It’s like the Abarth. Just isn’t quite as good looking. So so much better than the sister Corsa to look at.
Nice little motor Tish BUT it’s too expensive brand new and the massive depreciation is a KILLER. Wait a year or two and buy then. Look at the 2nd hand market or pre-regs….. A*trader etc.
its a bad time for EV's.... only time will tell
Totally agrees with this (even though I have one!). Mine is of course a company car so all I look at is the monthly lease I get charged - these have gone up 25% since last year due to the collapse in residuals. However, they make greta used buys now - an 18 month old or even a pre-reg are bargains. This was inevitable as more cars come onto the market.
Le quitan ese precioso amarillo estilo "Bruce Lee" y diseñan unas llantas que encantaran a los Decepticons
BRAVO PEUGEOT!! 😂
Sell this in the USA as the new Dodge Omni ❤
I'm not a big fan of the new DRL integration.
This looks great. I still think I prefer the Corsa
Really?? That's an interesting opinion!
@@AutoSocialUK i like the traditional interior, includig the AC buttons
Liking the corsa 😂😂, there’s always one ☝️
@@Mizzkan it's been the most popular car in UK for the last years, so there's more than just one
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:37 The steering wheel is on the way because you didn't adjust it according to the i-cockpit instructions. The i-cockpit has been around for 2 decades now, if you do not know how to adjust the steering wheel, you should not be reviewing cars.
I know the way that I like to position myself seated in a car and where I like my steering wheel. I’m not going to sit uncomfortably because a car ‘suggests’ it to be my best position.
@@AutoSocialUK It doesn't "suggests". It was DESIGNED to be used that way, it is like an airplane cockpit. You can use a deodorant as a dildo if you want to, it just won't be comfortable. Same energy.
Hello Tish I like it
Thanks for liking
Transmission tunnel on a FWD, what?
Love the body colour but not on the grill i think thats a bit O.T.T. and those plastic fin they are putting on rims nowadays are a bit of an eyesore to be honest.
prev gen had a more modern face
Stelantis own fiat and Peugeot so maybe they have saved more money and shared colours as well as parts ?
I have checked and they're not the same.... just very similar
Just bought 2nd hand 2021 e-208 GT saved a fortune for ex Peugeot retail car with 6000 miles and still under manufacturers guarantee
Really like the car
Range on mine is really good no complaints
Swapped from an suv for this
So much nicer
I think it looks and feels better than corsa(especially the interior)
Before people criticise evs they should try one
I was really sceptical about having an ev but now I have one would never go back to ICE
That would drive me nuts with the position of the steering wheel 😮😮
That yellow looks hideous for me and the pricing is still a joke.
hahaha I think they're two fair comments
@@AutoSocialUK The car may be disappointing, your review was not :) Thanks!
You can now get 20-22 models from 14k second hand 👌

If only ford did this with their feista range... But they decided to off it for stupid SUVs....
On a comment on another video some guy said ford are making a electric fiesta idk if that's true but I agree all these manufacturers are binning off hatchbacks for SUVs then in a few years a car manufacturer will make a hatchback then everyone else will
@@SubscribeToJackWoods nahh they axed the fiesta range completely won't be Making Another fiesta at all. Sadly they are turning the attention on electric SUVs and making brand new car models designed only for electric from the ground up.
That's annoying at least we still have the Corsa polo picanto and more
I believe the Focus is scrapped to @@SubscribeToJackWoods
Silly money for what it is , buy the petrol engine if you must have one , I won’t be .
The funny thing is due to the current company car tax rates, for me when I got mine last year it was cheaper monthly to have the EV model than petrol and it’s saving me £100 a month on fuel. Of course that doesn’t apply to everyone and if I was using my own money no way would I buy one!
I cant say how the 2024 version is like driving. But I guess it is pretty similar to the 208 e GT 2023 version. I tried it this weeknd and to be honest I was a little bit underwhelmed… It did not feel quick, tight and fun like a GT in my opinion should do. The brakes need to be pushed in half the way before gripping? The sport seats were soft and plush? The steering was kinda fun and alright. The sport mode did not feel different from normal to be honest and the touchscreen, where do I begin? Confusing and messy, never found what I was looking for and struggled to exit when I clicked wrong. The cruise control? Useless and not intuitive at all. Why is it so hidden and why isn’t it on the steering wheel? So old school that it is sad actually.
Since we are looking for a new ev to change our VW e-UP to get one with more range we tought it would be a nice upgrade alternative. Sat down in the 2024 version at the dealer. And the seats are the same, the brakes feels the same, the screen do not seem to be upgraded much either and the cruise control, still the old solution with a cheap lever.
It is not a bad car at all, dont get me wrong but it is just so underwhelming. Perfect for getting from A to B downtown. But it stops there, unfortunately😕

It’s NOT a new generation it’s a facelifted current generation saying it’s a new generation is very misleading
And the range still isn’t good enough
Design is better though
Did you actually watch the video? 😂 that’s literally what I say…. It’s kind of the whole point of the video
He never watched it 😂
wheres the time stamps in the video ?!?!? not watching
or you are just short 😄
I would say I'm average hahah
@@AutoSocialUK but F A F 😊
If you're looking for an EV that won't put you off e-mobility sooner or later, it's not the best option.
fair enough
51kw/h battery producing 250 miles? I think not luvvie. It won't even give you 4 miles per kw/h so you're not even going to get 200 miles. Why do presenters keep repeating manufacturers claimed figures when they're clearly not true? One of the reasons why people in the real world are not enamoured by electric cars.
I don't get electric cars that have limited range. The most Important thing in a EV is lots of battery capacity. Insane not to make this the absolute priority.
On a daily basis, cars in the UK drive an average of 18 miles a day, 127 miles a week, 550 miles a month and 6,600 miles a year. So you'd only need to charge it once a week for most people? However, I do agree its not for everyone!
I did 14,000 in mine in the last year. Mostly smaller trips but did a few over 200 miles. As long as you plan things there are plenty of charging places now (that work). Saying that I take the point that for some people they need more and home charging is a must really. Range is gradually getting better - these have 20% more than the original car which is pretty good in a few years.
Your voice and accent is too much for me , sorry , I'm off 🙈🙈🙈🙈
