So many items that have no use. What will you do with the tray in the middle of the table that contains vases when you actually want to dine on the table?

The buffet was ruined by painting it black. The beautiful details were lost. Using two large mirrors has little design interest. What was needed was color, as in a painting. Cluttering the table with more mirrors and useless objects shows little imagination or style. Using the original table with new upholstered chairs colorful art on the walls and striking objects on the beautiful buffet, and yes a carpet would have made a much more chic and unique look.

That table would be uncomfortable for the people at each end

The credenza has lost its detailing. Should have painted it a different color and used highlighting in the paint. It looks flat. Not an upgrade.

The room looks smaller after decoration.

What?? That's because it had NOTHING in the beginning lol

@@furycfury1632 more like because that table is far too big for that room. Or at least it should have been turned the other way. The person seated by the wall will be cramped in there.

Nice. Except for those horrid, pink, wallpaper panels. Serious ick factor there.

Oh hunny, that "split batten" is called a french cleat. Love this dining room, that table is gargantuan!

Great piece of design, really made a nice mood in the room. Credenza looks great in black in close-up shots. shame it doesn't show as much on video for the wide shots but I'm sure it's fab in person. Most of this is not my personal style but I can still appreciate a good transformation and I think you've created a room that people will enjoy being in.

Wow! That table is fab - I'm shortly gonna invest a few thousand on a handmade recycled locally built dining table. Let's support our local furniture makers in Melbourne!

Why cant I be that creative.😪
My brain is all left brained, just process n logic n numbers. The before picture is what would be in my home and I have to dial up really hard to get to half of what she had created. Guess we all have our strengths n weaknesses.

Too many squares and rectangles bunched together! Remove one mirror and center the other at the end of the table.
And move the plant to the end of the dining room wall to balance out the greenery. Overall looks good.

Amazing but to be honest are the owners like in their 60s because they had very old furniture and the house was BARE.

Why do designers always put rugs under dining tables?

    • @RebelAlliance42
      @RebelAlliance42 Před 3 lety

And such a light coloured one too, the owners are going to have shares in Bissell 😆
I rent, so I like to have a dark rug under my dining table, especially over carpet, it saves a lot of stains from kids lol. My rug is black.
