I'm binging top surgery videos for the millionth time, I cannot wait to get this done! I'm 21 FtM and recovering from an emergency hysterectomy, now I'm fully obsessed with the desire to chop these off! my insurance is a hassle, and money is nearly impossible to come by. I'm hoping I can put an appeal in and have my surgery date by the end of this year or start/middle of next. you did amazing during recovery I'm very impressed

as a fellow nb myself I wonder, do they put you to sleep first?? any issues & how long it shall hurt i'm trying to consider the pros and cons cause i dont want abominations anymore
As someone who hates needles but has to get a lot of blood tests and IVs because of my chronic illness, when you said the person taking your blood wasn’t a phlebotomist/nurse i was like AHH! 😂 i once had the hospital fuck up my MRI appointment by not telling me we needed to go to the children’s ward for an IV (i was 2 months away from being 18 🙄) and we were like “can’t you get this nice nurse right here to do it, i consent, my mother consents, it’s easier etc etc” but they were like “no. here is a DOCTOR (not a professional nurse) from the child’s ward to put it in.” The dude not only spoke to me like i was 5 years old and misgendered me so much, but tried to get it in my hand, then the middle of my forearm, then my elbow crease. He gave up 😂 so they wanted to call an ANAESTHETIST down to put it in but they were busy and by this point i was in pain, stressed, and starving from not being able to eat before the MRI so we gave up and went home! That’s the worst example lol. but as a trans masc person who wants top surgery in the future i am nervous about the whole ordeal of surgery and hospitals haha. But i guess my current hospital trips are good practice for it 😂 i’m getting better at not throwing up from stress while getting bloods! Really happy for your surgery and i love the openness/realism you are showing of your TS journey with both the good and bad. Crongrats!

Congrats!! For sleeping try getting a non addictive sleep aid like ZzzQuil, Unisom, Melatonin ETC. My compression tank (binders don’t fit me) makes me itchy, it’s annoying. It’s most likely the material they are made of.

Congratulations on your top surgery. I've been desperately trying to have my top surgery but I can't afford it. I have a gofundme but I'm starting to learn that no one seems to care from my family and most of my friends ignored me as well. I could definitely use some prayers even tho I'm not much of a church or prayer guy. Heads up but they may have you wear the binder longer then the two weeks. I know they did that to me but my surgery was much different then yours. I was also told by others they had that happen to them as well though.
Did you have drains? Because I’m like terrified of getting drains after surgery 😅 I already kinda decided I don’t want any nipples after because of how complicated it feels like it is for them to actually turn out nice and not just be stressful for me to deal with (low-key scared they’d fall off lol)

I have a small chest and will probably be recommended to get keyhole, the only issue is keyhole requires drains and the thought makes me feel really sick. Can you choose to get the double incision??

i don't have any drains my surgeon doesn't do them for his patients typically
drains weren’t too bad for me, but ymmv. they suck for a while, but once you get them out it’s immediately worth it
