    Thank you for this video mate. I'm in the struggle between the old version and the new version. I find odd that the link you provided shows a lower price for the new version compared to any other store (£59.99+). It's scary to order it.

    • @VidVayder
      @VidVayder  Před 2 lety +2

      No problem. Things are usually cheaper on Aliexpress as they come directly from China. If you're ordering from Aliexpress make sure you check that it has the 90 day delivery guarantee and the 15 day money back guarantee. Also, expect these two things:
      1. The package is likely to be damaged (could be slight, could be bad!)
      2. It will take one to two weeks to arrive
      Despite that, I have ordered from Aliexpress enough times to know that it's safe to do so, but you do have to be very careful and read the reviews of the seller etc. If you're willing to do that stuff, you do get a better price out of it!
      Thanks for watching and if you do get it, let me know what you think :)

    what is the difference between the Xiaomi Mijia and Xiaomi Mi?

    • @VidVayder
      @VidVayder  Před rokem

      Hi, I'm pretty sure it's just a different name for the same product. But there are two models of the monitor light available. There's the one I reviewed here and there's the 1S version. If you look on aliexpress you will see two versions (check my video description for the model numbers). There's only a small difference between the two... One has smart home functions, I think Bluetooth connectivity and slightly improved RA rating.
      The different versions are indicated by the 1S version number and not the name Mijia/Mi.
      Bear in mind this is the info available to me several months ago, I'm not sure if there has been another update.

    dude good info but your audio levels to song ratio is so off i couldn't watch it all. just a heads up for future videos but ive decided to go through with the 1st version of the light cos the upgrades were'nt significant enough to go through the hassle of sourcing v2.

      Thanks, someone else mentioned this too. Can I ask how you're watching the video? Via laptop/pc/phone/tablet and whether it's through speakers or headphones? This will help me with testing for the future. Really appreciate you letting me know :)

    Turn down background music. Some times its louder then your voice.

      Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I think that the headphones I used were boosting my vocals so I could not tell during testing, but I have definitely put audio level balancing as a priority now. I'll keep working on improving it. Appreciate you watching my video and sharing your feedback 🙏

    Bro I have the same monitor, does it cause any damage to the screen?

    • @VidVayder
      @VidVayder  Před 2 lety +2

      Not at all mate. It does overlap ever so slightly but doesn’t cover much of your image. 1 - 2mm at most. It doesn’t bother me personally BUT I imagine it could annoy someone with a bit of OCD.
      So my answer is no, it doesn’t cause damage, yes it covers some of the screen but never anything important. It’s not as bad as say, the notch on a phone or MacBook Pro.

      You can also use some thin foam tape or whatever and stick that to the top of the monitor and have the light hook onto that above the screen instead.
