I think you do get to play the Terminator in the dlc? But it was just a short mode or something.

Go back to it in your cloud saves and press options. It should give you the choice to turn it back on.

You only need the needle if you’ve already walked through the door. Get the other endings first. Fyi you have to take off all your clothes to walk into the door. 1. Beat the last boss and back up your save (turn off auto update). 2. Get the other two endings 3. Walk through the door then go back to boss room to get lord of chaos ending. Watch the video for more details.

I'm quite sure the G8 Plus would work can you can charge it via the bottom USB. If you got the one with USBC, it might not align correctly? Don't take my word for that though I have not used the standard G8, I only have the G8 Plus, which will work with anything that supports a Bluetooth controller.

@@out-runner True. I like that my one has shelves that can slide out though. Makes taking them in and out even easier. I wish it was higher quality though. Kind of pricey for what it is.

I’m not too sure how the frosted acrylic would react to hand oils over time, but then I am the kind to wipe my controllers often. My guess is that acrylic would suffer from this less compared to aluminium. It would take a lot of time for this to take effect if it does happen. Yes both the transparent and opaque models have their qualities. Just depends if you’re likely to go through the art modding process :)

When you’re ready to get the Lord of Chaos ending. If you’re worried about making a mistake, do that ending last. Most important thing is to back up your save after the last boss, but before choosing any ending.

No. The R16 Black is completely opaque.

@@Oxilus_B Hmm well on the Discord you can find people who will print and cut stickers (look for AyanoAyre). But I'm not sure if the button holes would be the right size. You could always adjust the cut yourself later, but that takes skill. Alternatively, Ayano might already have an R16 template cut and available so they can lay it on top of the controller to see if it would fit properly? I will add a link to the discord in my description.

For both player one? No it’s one controller per player/account. You can’t tap buttons on this then pick up your pad and control the same character without switching the controller.

You can swap the buttons out but keep in mind that you’d have to match the button caps with the switch connections. I personally quite like the rough feeling on my fingers. Maybe I’m weird like that 😅

I've heard a few things about the Deep Whales, they sound good. I've been experimenting with different sounds lately though and I must say, I'm enjoying the Kailh Wizards a lot on this controller. Never knew I would end up enjoying a clicky switch.

Yes the original R16 is versatile when it comes to looks. My guess is that some might prefer the cleaner looking screen here and the non see through rims (the rims are built into the top plate). The effect is quite pleasant, having the buttons framed by a thin RGB line. But again some might prefer the see through rims of the original R16 that lets more light out.

Of these two I would recommend the R16 more. The Maestro S3 is a bit too light for me, and the button placement isn't as comfortable as R16. I think if the Maestro was longer and made of higher quality materials it would be better. Also, if you are a PS5 player you would need to use a Brook Wingman to connect, so the wireless feature would be wasted.

You’re welcome, thanks for watching. Yeah sliding does require adjustment. They can either lower the caps or maybe raise the height of the chassis. I have two pieces of artwork on my R16 Crystal and it seems to be slightly easier to slide because the artwork thickens the body.

My white one was also creaking when I first got it. After putting on new art and tightening the screws (not too tight, don't crack it), the creaking isn't as noticeable. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I haven't noticed the creaking on the black as much as the white one, but of course if you hold both ends and twist it on purpose it will make a noise.

Thankfully, they're all the same under the hood. The biggest difference for me is the build quality and mods. The DOIO feels and looks quite precise. However, the build of the DOIOs (at least the model I reviewed) contribute to a hollow sound. This is neither good nor bad. As the keeb community would say; "it's all preference". Personally, I prefer the deeper sounds of the Haute42 boards I have used (R, M and G), but enjoy the base look of the DOIO I have. When you factor in art mods, the story changes though!

@@VidVayder Actually one thing. Finger prints are hard to see on crystal so they don't need to be wiped as much. What would you say about this one?

@@TravisMCP I would say it's visible yes, but not as visible as prints on the Kitsune. It does seem quite easy to clean though. I use a microfibre cloth that's designed for phone screens (the kind you get when you buy a screen protector). It didn't seem a big enough deal for me to point it out specifically, but then it could also be that my hands tend to be dry lol. So my final answer is yes, more visible than the R16 Crystal but also easier to clean than most controllers I've used.

Yes the Wind Engines (which I really like) are compatible. I just looked at the two switches (crystal and wind engine) side by side and the dimensions look identical. I've also installed Wind Engines on other Haute42 boards like the R16 and M Plus, so I'm pretty sure it will work. Even the Kailh Wizards work, which you can see in my sound test :)

Hmm I don't have a legion go, but you can take off the controllers on your legion go and weigh them to see if they are similar to the the G8+ which is 314grams. Alternatively, put the legion go body on your scale, and add something that is 314grams. Then pick all of it up in your hands and see if that feels ok.

Try Up Priority Mode: HOME + START + UP (according to the instruction manual) If that doesn't work try Last Input Priority: HOME + START + LEFT I usually leave mine on Neutral so I'm not certain about this.

It’s pretty much the exact same diameter and feel of the dual sense sticks, but the resistance is like the Switch joycons; it’s very light. The dual sense resistance is my personal preference but after a while I do get used to the lighter resistance.

Sorry but I haven’t tried the T16 yet. Have you joined the Haute42 discord? People there would have tried both :) My personal opinion of the R16 is that my hands feel quite relaxed when using them but maybe we have different sized hands!

Thanks for the kind words 🙏 No you don’t need to update the firmware to use the Booter 5, but you probably will need to activate the port for it. Things to note: 1. Hold triangle button when plugging in the controller to activate PS4 mode. 2. You may need to go into web config mode to activate PS5 mode if you’re going to use the older firmware. Look for my Haute42 G16 review where I show you how to do that. 3. You don’t have to upgrade to firmware 7.9 but you might want to consider it when you feel confident with GP2040 because the new firmware does have some updated options etc. all works fine without it though. 4. Join the Haute42 discord to get help with GP2040 if you need advice. Haute controllers use the same software as this DOIO pad so all the web config stuff is the same.
