I can apply before work and after an eight hour shift can still smell it radiating off my skin in my apartment. It’s not as strong as the first three hours but the citrus drops off and you get this nice oceanic, lightly sweet, warm, ambery, masculine scent. It may be possible to go somewhat anosmic to this profile. This is my signature scent, love it!
One day I will launch a fragrance that starts as a skin scent and end as a projection beast

I picked this up a few days ago. I love it. Reminds me of office for men. Without the office price tag. Wonderful scent.
I know Profumo will always be my favorite. The incense and this sage note came across so beautiful and it lasted all day. It even works for this Houston weather all year around. I got to try this! Oh and I finally got around to getting Bitter Soft. SPOT ON!

Profumo was love at first sniff for me. Finishing up my 2nd bottle of it! When I heard about Profondo, I ended up blind buying it, and I will admit, I wasn’t nearly as blown away by it as I was with Profumo. BUT, after giving it a few proper wearings out and about, I ended up liking it a lot!!! It’s just such a refreshing and uplifting scent to me. I totally agree with you though about the opening. It has become my favorite part of it, and I wish it lasted longer. That beautiful fruity mandarin opening is so nice. Solid review man!
Aquatic and Blue fragrences are my favorites. Dont Care about the hate i Will look forward to Smelling it!!

I really like this one. I agree about it being a summer fragrance, but I would extend its usage to date night or clubbing.
Also, my pheromones reacted differently than yours with Profundo. I enjoyed the scent all the way through. It didn't seem to disappear till about 12 hours at least. I can't tell you how it projected, however.

It's has that bvlgari aqua Atlantique vibe, resemblance of blue ambergris, citrus, salty mineral, with the fresh aquatic, ozonic, I like it!

It's weird but I really do prefer Profondo than Bleu de Chanel. Bleu de Chanel smells more casual for me than Profondo.
The original ADG is my favorite. I’m looking forward to trying this and knowing how it compares.
I think you will like this 😎 For me scent wise the original has always been the best, then probably Essenza and Profumo... but the performance sucks. This new Profondo to me smells a lot like the original, but much better performance. This is my new favorite of the Acqua di Gio line 💪

Here's what I noticed with reviewers here in CZcams about Profondo. Americans love it, the Brits find it boring. Older men hate it whereas younger men like it, even love it.
I actually liked this a lot, best Acqua di Gio to date in my opinion! I hope it hits the discounters soon, since I want to get a full bottle of this 😎 Profondo is definitely more mass appealing than Profumo, so I have a feeling the fragcomm will not like this as much as Profumo...

To me this definitely smells very similar to the original, but more blue and a bit more salty as well, plus some patchouli/mineral earthiness.
It’s my new favorite ADG closer to the OG with a bit of a modern twist I dig it man.

Great review Chris! Saw you hard pull the cap off the Profumo, just wondering if you know that if you just simply twist it the magnets repel and it pops straight off.

I get the same sweetness as the Absolu in the opening, then it transitions quickly to a sharp/bitter citrus and I get BDC EDT vibes mixed with Profumo for the duration... It's not bad at all but I won't be buying a full bottle.
Try this yesterday at Macy's profumo on one arm profundo on the other in my opinion. Profundo is a sinking stinky profumo all the way

Hello Chris, thank you for this review. I like the part where you proposed comparable/better perfumes. I tried Profondo last weekend and I have to admit its kind of average smell to me, original or Profumo are much better. At 3:12 did you mimic Jeremy? :))

Yeah I wasn't happy about the non magnetic cap haha. I think it smells like Light Blue Eau intense but way better
the drydown reminds me to Absolu and Absolu Instinct from AdG, opening smell to me like dior sport 2017 and Chanel Allure homme sport.
as a Collector, i like Profumo and Essenza , Absolu & Absolu Instinct wasnt for me, but Profondo is an "ok" addition

Light blue intense vs adg Profondo which i should buy?
I found a brand I ve fallen for in Morocco called Swiss Arabian and they have great fragrances both oud based and blue fragrances, they have one called Shawq which is a fruity style aventus genre and it’s edp that lasts its 100ml 20 pound and the performance is better and they have one called pure instinct similar to Bleu De Chanel but 50 pounds for 100ml and it’s got better performance. As for adg i ve owned every Version and my favourite was essenza as I find Profumo scratchy but everyone else likes it
Good luck smelling anything from the deep ocean, you'll probably drown... no but I really enjoyed profundo. I think it's something you should smell first in a store rather then blind buy. Great video always enjoy hearing your take on these things.

I like it, summer fresh
This parfume is amazing good 👍👏
But I bet the original with the frosted glass, the Profumo with its black bottle and this one with the frosted blue glass look great side by side on the shelf.
I give you me impressions of almost all of flankers of Acqua di Gio:
- AdG original version... Was amazing. But as you know was reformulated. Doesn't has the same power, but it still smelling well. Fresh and citrussy.
- ESSENZA, it's a real EDP. Brutal performance. Just 2 or 3 sprays are enough.
- PROFUMO, it works well but IMO it's for cool weather nights. In high temperatures I don't like how it works.
PROFONDO. I think it's more dense than original version and more acuatic, but less power than ESSENZA. Very similar than PROFUMO, but without the strength of the incense.
- ABSOLU it has power, but the thing it's very similar than INVICTUS. So it don't makes me sense to buy a brand like ARMANI, with a pretty similar scent than other house.
The original is a bit basic & clean so I dont really think it can ever be an outdated scent kind of like the shower gel fragrances , as long as shower gel exist they will never be outdated LOL

I tried it.
It smells marine notes in the opening and dry down. Similar to the smell you would get from a 80s 90s man's shower gel. This is what the ozonic scent is. (I didn't smell any citruses, it's probably covered by the marine notes).
At the end the base note appears and stay a very very long time. This note is a classic : it's ambroxyn and it smells like what you would smell on Sauvage or Office for men. It's the same smell ingredient but it will smell different compared to the 2 others. And since it's ambroxyn: girls will be mad about it. Like Sauvage, like Office.
This fragrance is going to be a MASSIVE hit no matter what all reviewers are saying now that they don't like it.
Hi, can you review the Black Vanilla Absolute by Perry Ellis
The Essenza was a true improvement over the EDT. The olibanum shined. Not mentioned here BUT considering the fact there are so many eBay bottles for so much (and folks paying through the nose, quite literally!) It begs the question: Why the hell even ever discontinue it? Then I see your first impression and realized "o ok, they only want one AdG EDP on the market." I wanted a deeper darker aquatic (a la Night Dive or Zoologist Squid) this doesn't sound like that though maybe a tweaked Essenza in the ubiquitous blue bottle? If Armani starts doing what DIOR is doing soon the designer perfume market will be nothing but the Bay of Meh. Sad. Initially I thought you're going to review some AliExpress Profumo knock-off. That's how the name comes across. Gonna give it a try if my local perfumeries have it.

Smells great, very similar to the original but stronger. No need to own both, I’d get Profondo based on performance. If you’re looking for something ground breaking though, this isn’t it.

I was really looking forward to get this scent. But upon your review i think i will pass. I already got the original Acqua Di Gio and Profumo. I have got Bleu De Chanel EDP coming tomorrow thanks to the advice from Clemence, and i also have at the barbers incoming too.

Definitely. Many non-fragheads have never heard of Aventus, whereas Acqua di Giò is well known everywhere.

Yes, Italian lessons paying off haha. Gio means shorter Version of Giorgio as it is from Giorgio Armani, and Giorgio is pronounced like "Djordjo".

Technically it would be like "Go" if there wasn't the "i" in Gio, it's only there to make the G sounding like in "Joe" (Thanks for going for Joe btw, been struggling to put it in a appropriate phonetic word. Joe is very good for it :) )

As in Rugby it means 'to the side of something' so in the case of perfumes it's a 'side' release as it's an offshoot of the original rather than being a new original fragrance.

I love Profumo so much that its one of my regulars for everyday use. I feel conflicted about Profondo is it just unique enough to purchase? So many choices.
David Torres it is not as harsh as Profumo. It is like the original, but more concentrated and a lovely aquatic dash. It is very good. It’s going to take over the summer for sure.

It's really nice and has good projection for the first two hours. It's actually fresher and sweeter than Profumo, more suave than D&G Light blue eau intense.

I received a tester of this and just sprayed it. I have to agree. Opening smells really nice but it's the incarnation of genericness....Wouldn't recommend it of you're looking for a distinct signature scent

So maybe it's skin chemistry but I definitely got above average performance from this. Still not as much as some PDMs or Sauvage. But better than lets say le Male or la Nuit

I don't think Profundo should be compared the Percival or Bleu de Chanel. Those two are more "general use" fragrances i.e. Sauvage.
I dont dig BDC and to Sauvage EDP isnt too bad.. shd i pass on Profondo?
@@edwardbrock3807 I think you should get a sample of you can. It's definitely a fresh , aquatic scent, unlike BDC or Sauvage. But Profondo, isn't as light and short-lasting as your Nautica Voyage.

I think that for around 140euros for 125 ml, I'd rather spend 160euros on a fresh 100ml Armani Prive scent.
