Choosing it over the TWSBI would all depend on how consistent the nibs are. I’m sick of watching reviews of pens being smooth and then when I order one, it’s either wildly scratchy or there’s sometimes literally zero ink flow. TWSBI always shows up writing like butter. If that’s the same with them, I may consider it over the TWSBI but TWSBI has earned my trust and trust has to be built over time. So, I probably would t choose it, as of now.

That is all a very good point. This one was excellent and has maintained that since I filmed. However, if it was bad, send it back. Never settle. Thanks for watching.

I got a Nahvalur over a year ago and it was the Original Plus in Black cap with rose gold trim. So basically this pen minus the colors, medium nib in mine as well. Everything Hemingway said is exactly how I feel about mine. It's a good size and lighter than you'd expect. The medium nib is very smooth without feeling like an ice rink. It has a thinner line than most mediums to me, but not overly thin and it has a good ink flow. Excellent pen for the money.

I have no Idea as to what to say I have alot of pens and generally love buttery nibs, even my finer nibs are smooth I generally correct my nibs if I feel they are scratchy. My expectations have been set by LAMY SAFARI and LAMY AION which haven't yet been rivalled, expect the jowo broad on RANGA pens but broads are usually smoother so not considering it. Here all other pens I have are medium BUT I received my TWSBI vac700R yesterday and it is a bit scratchy on the left stroke it might have a small tin misalignment but the IRIS nib so pristine I am not brave enough to work on its nib correction , the pen isnt scratchy its just it has some feedback which I am not used to due to my LAMY experience. Its getting better but I thought twsbi would glide but it didnt for me atleast. It is the same shown here VAC700R iris. And Nahvalur seems like they have it under control seems to be smooth according to my review analysis.
But Yeah even my twsbi came a bit scratchy but all I heard was it smooth or my be I am not used to a certain feedback, It was noticable on regalia and Rodia ppr but on normal journal paper it seems smooth. Any thoughts?

@@akshaysharma2786 It could be the ink you have, unless you've tried a more lubricated ink that you've used before and it's still the case. If the tines aren't misaligned then I would get some micro mesh pads and go at them with that. There are plenty of videos showing how to use them and smooth out a more rough nib. If you don't like feedback at all stay away from Sailor pens and Platinum. Aurora as well has a certain feedback to it like the two mentioned. It's not as if they aren't smooth. Feedback is a different breed. it's weird. It's smooth, but it has a bit of drag to it so it's not out of control. I've had scratchy extra fine nibs on cheaper Chinese pens before. It's not like that.

@@williamcatalano1762 I feel the same my twsbi is smooth but has a drag It's no way scratchy but the left stroke is a bit dragy.
I did changed 3 inks 1st my most wet and free flowing ink Lamy turqousie and then Krishna Moonview it's very heavily sheening but then I cleaned and settle for Yama Budo till the time
KWZ Eldarado arrives in the mail.
I ordered the narwal pen in Broad that's why for glass feeling pens.
I think I have been ruined by writting on my IPAD and Samsung tabs with s pens which is basically writing on glass.
but the twsbi is smoothening on its own sorts ai feel.

A beautiful pen, 10 out of 10 to Nahavalur for their designs. I have 4, including one original plus. Three of them are 'meh' on the writing experience. As opposed to churning out endless new designs IMHO they could better spend their energy on QA. I also have 4 TWSBIs and all 4 write consistently well and I know they will be reliable.

I like both pens, but I prefer the clear body of the TWSBI for an unobstructed view of the ink, even shimmer inks. I used Caroube de Chypre in my TWSBI and that ink, sloshing around, was nice to enjoy between thoughts.

I like both the TWSBI Vac and the Nahvalur Original Plus, and own several of each. I like the "bump" on the TWSBI. TWSBI nibs, however than Nahvalur nibs, in my experience, tend toward the over smoothed (especially in the wider sizes - B and BB), with hints of Baby's Bottom (not all of them but more often than I like.)

A glowing review of a glittering pen! Thank you! As for wanting this particular pen . . . for bling, I have my Euphoria Bourbon . . . as for the iridescence, how long does anodization take to rub off? I don't know! As for the vacuum fill system, I don't altogether like needing to open the blind cap to let air in while I write; and I have some good representatives of the fill system already. But, would I want to get one for my granddaughter in a few years? You bet!
