Since Alchemy was based on the ultimate theory of turning Lead into Gold, I would love to see a nice medium grey ink with a subtle gold sheen. Call it Merlin's Quest...
I'd buy that ink.
Brilliant!
I'd love an ink like that too.
yessss!!!!
Yup
I am a college professor. Although I use also other colors for grading, my favorite grading color is pink.
The next Endless Alchemy Color should be a nice pink with tons of sheen and shading, called "Tears of Students".
Probably too specific to me.
LOLZ!
TA here, and I also like to grade in hot pink. Currently it's Noodler's Shah's rose. Tears of Students would be a fun name for a grading ink, but I kind of prefer "READ ME." because that's what I wish they would do...
Yikes LOL
The next color Endless Alchemy should do is a purple with a green sheen, and call it something like "Dragon's Breath" or "Dragon's Blood".
It exists already - Cross Violet, purple with green sheen.
Troublemaker Inks Doña Victorina.
Sounds like lamy's re-released dark lilac
Jacques Herbin makes some nice inks like this.
Dragon scale oil
Just for the series "Full Metal Alchemist" they should make an ink called "Full Metal" and the color should be light blue with silver shimmer because the alchemist energy is shoen as a light blue lightning.
Great idea!
And a bright shading red to serve as the philosophers stone
I love the color of Candy Sea; maybe the next one should be an intense red or ruby color with black shine... perfect for "Philosopher's Stone".
I’d like to see Endless make a black ink with a greenish sheen and bronze shading called Scrying Mirror. Thanks for the demos, Tom. Please say to Ben! Sometime you guys should do a father/son video on your favorite fountain pens…maybe for Father’s Day gift ideas?
Orange color with purple/blue shimmer and call it Star Fire or Night of Flames 😍
Arcane Oak - a fresh, mid to deep shading, green ink - with an ability for a mid brown edge to form, rather like going through the seasonal stages of growth on a mature Oak tree, as you write.
An overall green but slight edging of brown making it interesting to use, deep enough overall to be acceptable in the office, and perhaps on different shades of paper (white, ivory) will bring out its particular tonal variations slightly differently and likely be visible from a medium nib upwards.
Additional ideas/thoughts:
'ALCHEMY' (from fountain pen ink - to - calligraphy ink)
For those of us with metal dip nibs, and interest in calligraphy/lettering, as fountain pen ink is usually too runny without addition of some gum arabic to make it thicker, the Alchemy here would be for Endless to provide a sachet of powdered gum arabic in the box for adding to a miniature flask, (also included) up to the first line.
Then add the ink up to the second line, put cap/stopper on and shake to mix the 'potion', thus some fun for you to transmute ordinary fountain pen ink into calligraphy ink.
The small bottle and sachet can also be used with any of the Alchemy inks to transmute them into calligraphy inks.
'ALCHEMY' (from ordinary fountain pen ink - to - a shimmer fountain pen ink / shimmer calligraphy ink)
A second sachet included, and also available separately, can be a shimmer particle (gold & silver options) allowing the customer to customise their Alchemy ink themselves.
Customers may wish to add a cool shimmer (silver) to a hot shade eg red ink,
or heat up a cool toned ink with a golden shimmer.
or, they may want to try a preferred ratio of both silver and gold into their ink = 'Endless' customisation!
Either the shimmer is kept away from the main bottle of ink and the alchemy experiment is just added to the perhaps also thickened ink in mini bottle to be used for dip pens...
or, if the customer prefers their main bottle to be a shimmer ink from the outset, they can simply add the shimmer particle to it right away.
Perhaps keep a mini bottle of the original ink aside in case a non shimmer small amount is needed, thus doing the reverse, but first perhaps a swatching session of your 'before' and 'after' shimmer addition Alchemy, and no doubt Endless social media fun posts out of it! 😀
🌳🖋 ✨🪄✒🧫📳
Druid's Glade - a green ink with blue sheen and teal shimmer. like a sunlit clearing with a creek running through.
"Mage's Robe" deep shimmering purple 💜
Ohh, that's a good one
I think a fun addition to the Alchemy line would be another red shade with orange shimmer and name it after the scribe (rumored alchemist) Nicolas Flamel.
“Mermaid Scales” teal with shimmer of green.
Coming from a chemistry background, these are sooo tempting! Tiny
🎉 Erlenmeyer flasks! These I would keep on my desk even though I know all inks should be kept away from light. Thanks for sharing. They are already sold out at Canadian retailers.
I love the safe saturation of these inks and would be excited to put them in my top tier precious fountain pens. With that being said and hopefully endless will still go with the alchemy theme/bottle etc. here are my suggestions...
(1). Brujeria - a charcoal black
(2). Ouija board - a dark brown
(3). Incantation - an oxblood with a burgundy hue
(4). Dia de los muertos - a marigold orange
Call it Footprints in the Sand. The new color choice is staring right at us from your screen. Make the ink color the same as the giant prop pen on your left (viewer’s right) with a gold-bronze sheen. Glad I found you!
Hi Tom, I think Endless should do a blue cromoshading ink called Scheherazade. So cool!!!
I'd love to see a light blue ink with a pink sheen - my two favorite colors. It would look fantastic with the Benu Talisman Sakura Cherry Blossom pen I just bought! I'm super excited for it to arrive!
I'd like to see an orange with some multi-colored shimmer in it. Maybe unicorn-themed with the name.
I was looking into how colours were made in medieval times and they would mix (cook) elements like sulphur and mercury to get bright reds. Not sure how possible it would be, but I’d love to see inks named as “basic” element inks that could be mixed together to create these prized colours.
Deep crimson with a gold sheen called Dragon Fire.
Noodler's already has a Dragon's Fire (formerly Dragon's Napalm but someone got offended by a word).
I think a purple ink with green sheen and silver shimmer and call it "Midnight Violets" would be pretty cool! Thanks for the demos, Tom!
This has so much potential! They can either make more variations of bold, sheen inks. Or! They can make ink that can be mixed! Like magic!
Thanks once more - as always a thorough and clearly presented review. I like that it is no fuss and dependable. I only wish you had a store in Australia.
I feel like a mandrake green color would be super cool or maybe a phoenix red color that have hints of orange in it
I already have far too many inks, but I’m really rooting for Endless. Their Regalia paper has surpassed Tomoe River to become my favorite paper to write on.
This video is terrific and look forward to watching your other videos.
I would like an ink that has components of different densities and will shade if you write on a slanted surface. Instead of the shading occurring on both sides of the stroke, it will shade more on the bottom of the stroke. A deep crimson with black onyx shading would be dramatic.
Color suggestion is easy. A dark eggplant purple with green sheen and call it the Witch’s familiar. The bottle already looks like the Witch’s potion. Thanks!
They could make a high-gloss black and call it raven's wing.
Great video. Thank you, Tom. Perhaps Endless could consider making a brilliant turquoise ink with soft blue, green and pink shading and a lovely purple sheen. It could be called "Elixer of Immortality".
Perhaps, in line with "Drops of Mars", "Dust of Jupiter" with dark grey with with orange shimmer?
Beautiful bottle design. I would like to see a violet color with golden tints, and I would call it "Scholar's soul". Great video!
A deep yellow with silver shimmer would make a nice “Elvin Armor”. Especially if it sheens an orange.
I love the bottle and cork base. Such a unique idea for display!
Love the design elements of the glass and cork saucer. Testing the water with these color inks is a great start❤The next color would be a lime green with purple sheen and call it Aurora!
“Cinderella” - make it a lovely rose pink that has the baby blue shimmer of her ball gown.
I would love to see a metallic grey shimmer. Really loving the options and making me excited to find things to write with these
A dark blue-blk ink with orange sheen representing a candle at twilight could be popular for writers. Call it The Midnight Oil.
I love the bottle design, looks great and cool, I would love to see a strong different color sheen ink, something like purple with orange sheen, or olive green with orange sheen, this could be great mixes and very different sheen colors
Candy Sea looks amazing with the purple tones it has in the shading or sheen, also very nice pen choices for the colors.
I would like to see an orange non shimmer. I will always love an orange ink and with their other offerings you can do slight mixes to create a wonderful array of writing colors. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the great vid. It has an ASMR quality to it that is relaxing to watch. I'm wondering if at some point they will make a set of colours that you can mix to create your own unique colours.
I love the bottle design. Candy Sea is such a magical color.
I love the alchemical wizardly aesthetic of this collection, it really adds to the magic and mystery of writing with fountain pens on different papers. I would love to see a sepia toned ink with a lot of shading - maybe called something like 'Lost Tome" or "Grimoire"
I love these fantastic inks. I definitely want the Candy Sea one. Endless should make a medium blue ink with a yellow or gold sheen and call it Mercury's Gold. That would be an extraordinary color ink combination. Yeah, and I'd buy that too. 🙂
Love the bottles and the blue looks really interesting. Will surly give it a try.
Next Endless Alchemy color could be black with silver sheen and be calles Snow white, or a Red ink with green sheen Called Smaug´s gold or Dragon´s Gold, or Emerald green ink with Sort of cobalt blue sheen called LochNess Palace, this is way too fun, I should stop now 😅
Alchemy has always made me thinking of a wizard brewing up a magical potion in the dark for cover. I would love a new moon sky black with some kind of Fluorescent sheen to give a magical touch. Read in the light and for those who dare to brave the dark, a universe full of treasure awaits on the same pages somehow transformed in the dark.
They should definitely make a pink one and call it “Mage’s rose”
Since it's alchemy a name spinning gold/ turning gold. A slight shimmery golden yellow color, or philosophers stone- a ruby red shade with a glittering gold shimmer.
I would like to see a mirrored silver...name it..."Magic Mirror" of course. A whole line of mirrored colors would be great!
I love the bottle design a lot! I think an orange would be awesome with a lot of red and even some yellow shading :)
I know it’s been done, but space themed names with a blue color and red highlights always catches my eye. Or maybe a blue base with a golden/ bronze shimmer would be cool too.
Nice! Good review. Thanks! Immediately bought a bottle Mystic Forest 😊
A reddish orange color with gold shimmer called “Aqua Regia”.
its good to see , fountain pen coming back...
I would love a medium, cool purple ink with some sheen!
I would love a medium dark pink with an orange sheen and call it ‘Sunset over the Mountain’. They could do a whole series of ‘mountain’ themed colors. Eg: blue for the sky, greens for trees & mosses, grey &/or black for rocks, etc.
Great review. I’ve been seeing this ink come up on many of my feeds. Interesting stuff. Would like to see a permanent black ink for office use.
I love the bottle design and the ink collection name "Alchemy'. I'd love to see a brown ink with a bit of green sheen (and maybe even a tiny touch of gold shimmer) called Alchemist's Notes.
'Lead' (or 'Eclipse' for a more catchy marketing name). A dark polychromatic grey with a subtle silvery sheen or shimmer to represent lead. Lead was the most base element in alchemy and was believed to mature and turn into other metals.
I have more!!!
(5). Dante's inferno - a red orange like Apache sunset
(6). La llorona - a light blue
(7). The bottomless pit - a deep black like aurora or platinum
(8). Baba yaga - sea moss green.
(9). Santeria - an antique yellow
(10). Cucuy - a blue/ black
(11). Necronomicon - sepia
I would love a multishading ink. Or an ink that's pastel pink with a pastel blue shading. Just in general a line of inks that's all pastels with pastel shade. But still dark enough to be legible? I'm probably asking for too much there lol
The next Alchemy color would be an intense clear Orange with yellow shimmer and I should call "Dragon´s Tears"
I would love to see a deep red with a surprising sheen color that magically appears once the ink dries. Call it Fire Breathing Dragon.
Oh, thank you. It was very interesting❤
I think doing some different black colors that each have a unique colored sheen would be interesting
I'd love a blue base with gold shimmer. Name it something like "Arcane Stardust" or some more direct allusion to the Celestial blue-gold aesthetic.
I like the bottle design. Would like to see a deep purple and a deep brown with a bronze sheen.
I'd like to see a very dark blue with some red sheening.
Lovely looking inks and definitely much better bottles than FWP is offering!
"From the forest to see" would be my hope and dream for a new color - mixing a nice green with a blue sheen.
Alchemy is based around research and studying notes to finally turn other items like lead into gold. It may be simple, but a deep, dark brown like a worn leather notebook cover with a hint of gold shimmer would catch my eye for sure!
Sheening turquoise called Aqua Vitae (water of life) or Fountain of Youth. A gold-orange shading ink called Aqua Regia (acid that dissolves gold) and means royal/king’s water.
I’d love to see endless make an orange ink with an optional blue shimmer additive. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that combo.
I like the mystic sea, but I'm always down for more purples!
I'd love to see them do a line of Arthurian Legend inks. Name a rich regal purple for Arthur, a vibrant sheening Magenta for Morgan le Fey, and a shimmering blue called Lady of the Lake!
Footprints in the Sand. Use the giant pen prop as a color/sheen guide. Sandy bronze ink with a rose gold sheen. Glad I found you!
Aurora Dance - A light Greenish Grey with a shading of light but bright Pink, with a little white gold shimmer for the Dancing. x Lovely review, thank u. love Allison XXX
I want to see an orange with a shimmer. Maybe a sherbert color. That would be awesome!
May be impractical, but if it is alchemy, perhaps an ink that is one color if you let it settle and another if you shake it up and invoke the shimmer. Turn brown into gold by activating so much shimmer your pen almost chokes on it. "Pauper to Prince"
I love purplish blue inks the most. I do use burgundy and Forrest green inks also. It is difficult to choose a favorite.
Just curious as to why you expelled a couple of drops of ink on the piston fillers. I would like a dusty pink color and call it Blushing Princess. Thanks
I usually do this to make sure I actually got enough ink into the pen. For piston-fill pens that don't have an ink window, it's harder to know if the ink successfully drew up in your pen.
The next color should be a deep purple called Camelot. Enjoyed your presentation.
I would like Endless to create a beautiful dusty purple ink with a very faint, light blue shimmer/sheen. I would call it Mystic Falls.
I'd like to see Endless Alchemy create an ink named Zosimus (after the ancient Greek/Egyptian alchemist) in a rich copper color with an orange-ish gold sheen. Another cool idea would be an ink called "Khemia" (or "Khemeioa"), the ancient Greek name for Egypt that meant "land of black earth" or "the black land", since that word is considered one of the possible etymological origins for the words "alchemy" and "chemistry". The ink could be almost black but with a copper or gold sheen.
Purple for sure (something to do with Royals, maybe King Arthur). The bottle reminds me of the Project Mercury Capsule with the retro rockets on the bottom heat shield.
I would love to see pearl aqua into like a yellow sheen
I love the Candy Sea and have used it in various pens. I would like to see a nice rich purple with a silver sheen called Elixir.
I think Endless should make a companion ink to Wizards Pencil call Wizards Sleeve. A park purple with pink/red sheen.
Purple gray with gold sheen. Call it Stormfront.
Merlin’s purple! Love inks in the purple - blue zone!
Not EXACTLY an ink idea, but I'm the kind of nerd who would love to see an ink wettener or pen flush called The Alkahest.
For ink colors, I love purple and orange, so those would be good! The orange could be called Transmutation by Fire and perhaps the purple could be Decrystallized Bismuth?
That was a fun video! I'd like to see a dark orange with a gold sheen, called "Phoenix Rising".
The Endless Alchemy line could use a navy with the tonal shift like the wizards pencil and call it endless night.
I dig that Wizard’s pencil… very cool.
I'd like to see a dark neutral grey with silver shimmer, and call it "Knight in Armor" or something similar.
I feel like they should make a beautiful lavender color....still saturated but not super dark. It would definitely be a good shading ink too :)
I would like to see a black with a subtle sheen to it that I could use at work.
I was doing some book-keeping so... I imagine something like a permanent black ink (or any other color) called "Chronos' Blessing" to symbolize that what you have written will stay for the future
I really like the colors they did and the bottle on the desk would be cool and like you fun to mess with & not get any work done. Without a doubt, a Gold or Silver, or Gold with Silver sheen or Silver with a Gold sheen and it has to be called "Philosopher's Stone" (Dangit, I see someone already posted the name, nerds! :) oh well, I'm keeping it!)
Purple with green sheen and silver shimmer called Witch’s brew
