My Issues With Super Mario Party Jamboree...

- In this video I discuss the recently revealed Super Mario Party Jamboree game and what I want to see from it. As well as discussing the last two titles in the series (Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars). There's also returning boards from Mario Party and Mario Party 2. And a potential returning item from Mario Party DS.

Tbh at least in my opinion Jamboree looks way better then superstars and super because of the bigger boards and characters. I’m just hoping the economy and is balanced and the modes are good.
I'd say definitely better than Super, however to me it will be extremely difficult to top Superstars (At least in terms of Boards, and Minigames). Definitely a better character roster though no doubt
Just imagine, a story mode in SMPJ , but it's the evil Bowser who made everyone evil and we try to win the boards and eventually free them, it'll be like Mario Tennis Aces, but Mario Party!
Can't you just be happy that we have 21 and probably more unlockable characters? That's kinda huge especially considering the 7 boards and extras.
They never outright said unlockable characters would be in the game and the slight bit of evidence isn't substantial. Also while the game has a lot of playable characters my issue is mainly that they're bringing in what some people mainly consider not great characters while characters like Diddy and Dry Bones are nowhere to be seen. I'm really excited about the game just with all things just slight gripes.
@@bloodybook I mean we were never going to get all charecters in one game and yeah no one really wants too play as goomba. Still 20 plus is crazy good. They can't please everyone.....
@@174Anime I understand that part, but I think especially if the character was already in an HD game like Super Mario Party, you might as well port em over (Pom-Pom)
@@bloodybook honestly I don’t always like having too many characters or it’s a huge mess. I understand 20 is fine but I feel like there was a good selection in Mario party 10. I kinda wish bowser wasn’t playable since it’s more fun for him to be against the players too.
@@viviennemackenzie3467 I could see Bowser filling more of a board antagonist role rather than being playable. It is a bit jarring. But I don't know, I think if the model is there you might as well use it for a playable character.
I really hope King Boo is playable this time around. He has always been my favorite character, and he never has been playable in Mario Party. I will be much more likely to get this game if he is playable
Valid complaints. Especially with wanting the ability to turn off certain minigames. There should be more customization.
The title is pretty wordy lol I prefer just saying “SMPJ”
Roster is great, all my faves are here (Rosalina, Birdo, Bowser, Toadette, Shy Guy) Hopin for Diddy, Dry Bones, and Pauline
Boards look cool and SEVEN for once XD
My only real worries are that the side modes will suck and that the game looks a lil rough in some scenes when compared to Superstars and will stay that way at release.
Yeah honestly if I weren't a CZcamsr trynna do SEO I would have shortened the title here as well lol. Side modes I hope literally aren't like the Bowser side game from Mario Party 10. In fact I don't know of any side modes they've pulled off successfully but that's just me.
I heard Mario Party 5 had some pretty sweet side modes. However, this is probably a hot take, but Mario Party 9 had some pretty sweet side modes. Garden Battle, Choice Challenge, Boss Rush, Perspective Mode, etc. Would be cool to see some modes like those.
@@flipex6304 yeah they were definitely experimenting with Mario Party 9 and 10 and honestly to some degree it was fun to see. Some gimmicks were better than others, but in side modes I'm not opposed to them going insane lol.
Motion control mini games are optional because the game supports pro controlers and they already said on there website that you need joy cons for the motion control mini games. So there's clearly away too play without those mini games.
Well the pro controller does in fact have motion controls. If Nintendo had a feature like that I think it would have been nice to let me know in the announcements trailer but hey that's just a theory...
@@bloodybook It didn't mention in the same sentence they said procontrollers and switch lite. So yeah, those mini games are optional.
@@bloodybook iirc the japanese website says that motion control minigames arent available for online play so it seems motion control minigames are for local or single player
It’s so bizarre to me that Nintendo gave us this over a new Mario Baseball instead.
I might still get Jamboree, but what’ll make or break this game for me is (like you said in the video) whether or not they’ll finally give us the option to customize mini games again, because I refuse to play any more motion control/button mashing bs. The fact that we haven’t gotten a feature like that since Mario Party 4 is beyond stupid.
Correction btw: Koopa Kid’s last appearance was Mario Party 7. Not 6. Sure he wasn’t playable, but he was still there.
PS: I’m so damn sick of seeing Golden Pipes in Mario Party. Lol, Magic Lamps and Flutter Orbs were always way cooler.
I have to disagree on your issue with characters since i believe the whole trailer from the direct MIGHT NOT BE final version since i think the roster selection will be the same as Super in which we will have 2 rows and each row will have a theme of the top row will be only Mario's side and the bottom row is Bowser's so i think some of the UNCONFIRMED characters YOU THINK is cut COULD still be playable since i think they will reveal more returning and likely brand new characters to be revealed in both the September Direct the Overview trailer of the game BEFORE its release date.
Wishful thinking. I sure hope they do though. I like the roster so far but some it could use a bit more standouts

I find the word Jamboree great! Just wish they got rid of the word super. It's already becoming more difficult to find results for super mario party now, you get a mix of that and everything else.
