i took it as physically networking with other individuals in the space. This can be a hackerspace (tech focused) or an ISC2 workgroup (tech/governnance). I'd recommend checking out the Meetup app to see if any cyber, infosec, hacking, secops, etc. groups are meeting. Just find one, learn, build relationships, then branch out to other communities.
