My thoughts on ranked: Man everyone complaining since launch that ranked was too easy. "omg Master is meaningless" "anyone can get master" "it's so easy". despite Master already being like the top 3% of the player base. Nope! The whiniest top players want EVEN MORE DISTINCTION. Master wasn't good enough. 2k MR isn't good enough. This compulsion to show off EVEN HARDER is just hilarious. Everyone just needs to chill.

Legend is a great system. The top of the top SHOULD be a sweat fest. It's for psycho ranked grinders that grind rank 24/7. That's good. That's how it should be.
Me I'm good with low Master 1400-1550 MR. I get matched with people at my level or higher and I'm having fun win or lose. I'm chillin bruh. You sweaty players go nuts tho. And I'll have fun watching y'all
Anyone talking bout master being too easy needs to go wash their gaming chair.
I have a gut feeling that once everyone gets into the legends rank, everyone will complain that it's too easy and we will see a Super Legends rank in the Top 300, Ultra legends rank in the Top 100 and Master Legends rank in the Top 10.
Next year year once everyone is in the Top 10. evryone will complain that it's too easy and Capcom will create a new system to put people in the negative number that surpasses the Top 1 like Top (- 200) or Top(- 500) and Capcom will call this the SUPER DUPER MEGA HYPER MIGHTY LEGENDIA LENGENDARY LENGEND RANK.
In 2 years, once everyone is in the Top( 500). Capcom will create a polygonal number system that will surpass the negative number. in 3 years, Capcom will create cardinal numbers by using quantum physic of the 4th dimension as the new best ranking system. This will never end.

I think it is a good thing to seperate the good from the great. The great from the very best. I will not even attempt a Legend run. I am very content at 1600 MR. I'll go as high as my play allows. However, what I'm not gonna do is allow anyone that isn't a Master tell me how easy it is to get, and/or it doesn't mean anything. Whether it's online or in the BH, Golds, Plats, and Diamonds make it seem like if you're not at 1750 MR and above you're not worthy. And they cannot or have not made it there yet. Have a tall glass of STFU until you get there. If a pro player wants to call me mid, or weak...I'll hold that. But I'm not taking that from anyone that does not have a MR number.
For those of us who aren't insane, Master rank is good enough. I'm glad there's something beyond Master though and I like that it resets. Congrats on the Legend.

People talk about how easy it is to get Master and after being hard stuck in Diamond in SFV I agreed at first, but then I realized something. SFV wasn’t nearly as popular so the people playing it online were mostly really hardcore about the game. Even at Diamond I ran into players like Punk, Kbrad, JWong etc. online. SF6 has a lot more casuals and with a wider player base filled with a decent amount of noobs it feels easier to rank up but I think that’s only because it’s more rare to get matched up with the real hardcore players. Adding Legend kinda fixes that problem.
Legend is necessary to have distinction for people who are actually sweating at/near a pro level vs the Celestial/clout rank that Master is. Some people have said they would like other separate ranks for 1700-1800 MR people and what not, but I dunno. At least this creates some basic distinction. They need to make the icon bigger in match though. It's too tiny lol.

I guess it keeps the better players active. Though, I predict a time will come where even the best won't care that much after they have been in the top 500 a few times. But for a gold league scrub like myself it's kind of a nothing burger. I'd like to see something similar for each rank. Example, if I am gold 3 how many gold 3's are there higher than me?

I was working on my 3rd Masters character in Zangief, two weeks ago, and in the process, I threw an object at my TV. It proceeded to break. I bought another one the next day proceeded to continue the journey to make my Zangief Master Rank. I succeeded. I do not know if I have the patience to go for Legend Rank. I cannot buy another television.

I dunno why, but I thought Legend rank was gonna be based on the leaderboard at the end of phase 1, so if you end at rank 324, you'd be showing Legend 324 for all of season 2, whether you're higher or lower than that on the leaderboard. Maybe the special title line tripped me up.

It looks like in February, Capcom is adding the last ranking system. If you look at the pyramid display, the top is blocked off after Legend rank. I wonder what they'll call it? Lol.

It’s funny cuz just rn I went against a legend #308 and I won he was a Ken and I was zangeif. I didn’t know legend was a thing so I search’s it up on ur and I found this. Funny thing is that I’m a plat 4 and I beat him lol. I felt very accomplished and left after I won the 1st fight.

I find it hilarious that online, and in the battle hub, non Masters always talking about how easy it is to get while being hardstuck in Platinum or Diamond. Hell, even Gold players talk about how easy it is. They're just regurgitating what pro players say. Sheep.

idgaf about the masters rank it means nothing for me as i just enjoy to play a game not have to worry about this stuff or such i hate it imo the rank where i am at is good for me im in gold 1 and i dont wanna rank up and im happy for the doods who did rank up higher but there are cheaters and people who in the top ranks smurf and make the game unfun for the lower ranks and i wish to god here wasnt a thing called smurfs but it exists and i understand but imo the ones who smurf killed the fun out of the game for me ... but its all good im proud of the ones who stuck in the game amd legit are grinding keep up the work my brothers

Maaaan, no shot am I doing all that. Is it even worth the anger and stress? Pro players themselves practice and fight so they can win and take a long break afterwards. What kind of insanity is it to expect people to eat each other alive for a game that isn't even inspiring, fun, or complex?

capcom doesn´t "expect" anything, it's on every player if they want to go for the rank or not. they don't force you.
